So, what is he proposing?  As you can see from the official document of the speech, it is four more years of spending over 24% of our GDP (Gross Domestic Product).  It is also an increase to $1.327 trillion in our deficit from 2011.  That comes down to over $5 trillion in massive debt, all in just one Presidential term.  There’s never been anything like it.  There has never been any nation that has ever survived anything that has ever come anywhere near such a debt.

   None of this is anything like what Obama said, is it?  As John Stossel wrote in Human Events magazine, "President Obama said in his State of the Union speech, ‘We’ve already agreed to more than $2 trillion in cuts and savings.’ "  But, as Mr. Stossel noted, "...what the president was talking about is not even a cut.  The politicians just agreed that over the next 10 years, instead of increasing spending by $9.48 trillion, they’d increase it by ‘just’ $7.3 trillion.  Calling that a ‘cut’ is nonsense."

   A Wall Street Journal editorial put it most succinctly.  "The political strategy behind Obamanomics was always simple: Call for ‘stimulus’ to rescue the economy, run up the debt with the biggest spending blitz in 60 years, and then when the deficit explodes, call for higher taxes.  The Congressional Budget Office annual review ... shows this is all on track."  The nonpartisan CBO has made it very clear that what is being proposed will end up expanding the federal budget over time if it is not combined with significant policy changes.

   As shown by Human Events magazine, the proposed budget spends too much, taxes too much and borrows too much.  And, as the Associated Press reported, " ‘It seems like the president has decided again to campaign instead of govern and that he’s just going to duck this country’s fiscal problems,’ said House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan."

   And, as if that isn’t enough, Newsmax magazine tells us that, "As a presidential candidate, Barack Obama called for reducing the amount spent on Congressional earmarks to the 1994 level, about $8 billion.  But the money directed by lawmakers to specific projects in their districts actually rose to $15.9 billion in Obama’s fiscal year 2010 budget, according to a study by Taxpayers for Common Sense, an independent watchdog dedicated to eliminating waste."  This president is either one very stupid man or he knows damn well what this truth actually is.  You make the call.

   We’re not the only ones aware of this insidious deception.  Many groups and individuals are speaking out all over the nation.  By way of just one example, Penny Young Nance, the Chief Executive Officer and President of Concerned Women for America writes that, "When Obama arrogantly announced that he would ‘reduce the deficit by $4 trillion’ over ten years, he purposefully used the most deceptive language possible to disguise what is really happening.  Tucked away on page 245 of his budget, the truth of Obama’s budget is revealed.  Over the next 10 years, he will be increasing the federal debt — the debt that you and I as taxpayers owe — by an unfathomable $11.189 trillion."

   Arthur C. Brooks, president of the American Enterprise Institute wrote in the Wall Street Journal, "The president’s proposed new budget has three noteworthy characteristics: continuing unfunded entitlements to the middle class, runaway deficits to be repaid in the undefined future, and immense tax increases on the entrepreneurial class."  It most certainly does read like a formula for national collapse.

   And now we hear that the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee has announced that its goal is to devalue the dollar by 33% over the next 20 years. That’s right.  Check it out for yourself.  Unless we make some strong, massive changes, this is our future.

   So, what is our government to do?  Obama and his minions believe that a confiscatory dose of taxation, well beyond the already overwhelming disparity, will somehow do the trick.  Never mind that the richest 1% of Americans are already taxed an average of just about 40% of their income.  And yes, if you want to include a much greater 10% of the highest tax earners, they pony up just about two-thirds of all of the taxes collected.  If you take much more, who will be able to expand, to hire new workers, to do much of anything?  (Did you ever get a job from a poor man?)

   And, in case you might be wondering, if they were to confiscate all of the top 10% earners’ incomes, it would hardly even manage to dent the humongous national debt — with hardly a dent.  But somehow we can take from them even more, while almost half of America is on the take from the remaining American taxpayers.  And somehow we can continue to turn our "hand up" into an endless "hand out."  And somehow we can use fallacious environmental excuses to strangle our domestic energy sources. And somehow we can burden small business to the point of extinction.  And somehow we can encourage dictatorial union job controls that severely limit employment and keep labor costs high.  Somehow we can do all of these things and so much more without disastrous economic effect.  Really? I wonder if they might also still believe in the tooth fairy.

   Some are referring to Obama’s proposals as the "Buffet Rule."  In more detail, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, "President Obama’s 2013 budget is the gift that keeps on giving — to government.  One buried surprise is his proposal to triple the tax rate on corporate dividends."  As further detailed, "Mr. Obama is proposing to raise the dividend tax rate to the higher personal income tax rate of 29.6% ... Add in the planned phase-out of deductions and exemptions, the rate hits 41%.  Then add the 3.8% investment tax surcharge in ObamaCare, and the new dividend tax rate in 2013 would be 44.8% — nearly three times today’s 15% rate."

   And let us not forget to include the increases in the top rate of household earnings, new limitations on various normal deductions, capital gains tax increases, manufacturers’ tax increases, a confiscatory tax level on inheritances, and on and on it goes.  If the current administration continues on after November, it is all over for you.  I hope you realize that.  That is the general thinking of growing numbers of those in the know.  And a lot of the rest of us are in that camp now, as well.

But if you are in Obama’s camp, and especially if you are employed by the government, it may be a different picture for you, with regard to tax responsibilities. As revealed by The Washington Times, "President Obama went on and on Jan. 26 about how important it is for Americans to pay their ‘fair share of taxes.’ " However, as further revealed, "The tax man is required to send Congress an annual report on the number of serious delinquents working in each government agency.  Figures released last week show 98,291 current civilian employees have a severe tax lien against them."

   Of course there are a number of groups and individuals who are fighting with all their might against all of this.  One example would be the national 60 Plus organization (60Plus.org) which is battling against the death tax.  As they strongly suggest, it’s one shovel-ready job that our Congress needs to take care of — burying the thievery of the death tax, which is tearing apart family estates after a lifetime of work was put in to build them up.

   The month started out boosting the economy a bit with an oil and gas "boom."  That didn’t last long.  As the month moved along, oil prices began to give our economy a serious setback.  And what did Obama have to say about it?  "We know there’s no silver bullet that will bring down gas prices or reduce our dependence on foreign oil overnight," Obama said, in one of his weekly radio and Internet addresses.  "But what we can do is get our priorities straight and make a sustained, serious effort to tackle this problem."  (As reported by The Associated Press.)

   Let’s see now, a nice big chunk of the pump prices are from federal taxation, which could be temporarily reduced (and offset with serious cutbacks in earmarks and other wasteful projects).  And, of course, there are those endless restrictions, closures, additive mandates, cut-offs, and other serious blows this current administration has leveled against the American energy industry.  And, once again, one could go on and on and on and on. It’s a shame that our energy industry can’t go on like this much longer.  (And, with the rising gas prices, neither can you.)

   The venerable Cowboy Byte offered an interesting example with his lament, "Time may already have run out for Americans to defeat President Barack Obama in his war against the coal industry.  Many utility companies already have run up the white flag.  Before millions of people even knew about the war on coal, decisions were made that will send their utility bills skyrocketing."

   Add to that, the statement by Alaskan Governor Sean Parnell who declared that, "My state’s ANWR region could produce one million barrels of oil per day if only Washington would let us."  And, let us not forget, as noted by Texas Governor Rick Perry in The Wall Street Journal, "Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper was in Beijing recently signing an agreement and touting his country’s growing energy partnership with China."

   And as we can certainly agree, "It’s bad news for Americans, particularly when you consider that one of the main reasons China has become such an attractive market to Canada was President Obama’s recent rejection of the Keystone XL Pipeline."

   As Robert Knight put it in The Washington Times, "It’s clear that killing the pipeline isn’t remotely in the interests of the United States of America, or Canada. But the question is, who benefits?  Could it be the red Chinese, who are itching to see the Canadians reroute the pipeline to the West Coast for massive shipments to China’s oil-hungry economy?"  Is there any doubt?

   Through all of this, let us not forget what Obama’s henchman (the Secretary of Energy Stephen Chu) had to say.  "When Rep. Alan Nunnelee (R-Miss.) asked Chu whether it’s his ‘overall goal to get our price’ of gasoline lower, Chu said, ‘No, the overall goal is to decrease our dependency on oil, to build and strengthen our economy.’  As shocking as his remarks are, they shouldn’t come as a surprise.  Chu has a long record of advocating for higher gas prices. In 2008, he stated, ‘Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.’ " (As reported by Joe Miller.)

   Remember these things the next time you go to the pump and remember these things the next time you go to the polls.  Remember.

   With all that’s been happening, we once again should make at least a brief visit to our economy, or what’s left of it.  As Donald Lambro reports in The Washington Times, "The economy remains tepid.  It grew by an anemic 2.8 percent in the fourth quarter, while the national unemployment rate is stuck in the 9 percent range, and forecasters say that is unlikely to improve for the rest of this year."  Oh, that doesn’t sound good.  Didn’t the unemployment rate go down?  As Mr. Lambro continued, "The unemployment rate fell in December in large measure because so many discouraged workers stopped looking for a job and dropped out of the workforce." You mean to tell us the government is giving us false figures?  Why am I not surprised?

   A Review & Outlook report in The Wall Street Journal tells us, "...the truth is that America would probably be making many more things if not for bad but deliberate political choices."  As further reported, "Manufacturing has retreated as a share of GDP and contributed 11.7% in 2010, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis — about a 15 percentage-point decline relative to everything else over the last half-century."  Yes, there have been productivity gains, but they have been quite tepid, as also suggested. And, frankly, the outlook is not at all good.

   It might also be noted that one of the reasons (one of many) why the manufacturing sector is far less than we would want it to be — as many as 600,000 jobs are not being filled because the eager employers just can’t find the skilled workers that they desperately need.  This was determined by a Deloitte Consulting survey.  It is also a problem that has been recognized by a number of other investigations.  Our school systems are not giving us what we need.  Government isn’t helping much at all, but private interests are doing what they can to turn things around.  Unfortunately for us all, this will take time.

   Meanwhile, American consumers are shopping with more caution and less spending.  Let’s face it, with credit and jobs still in the doldrums, many folks are realizing that they can’t spend what they don’t have.

   So we look to the federal government to see what is being done and we find such things as massive cuts planned for NASA, "...Even though this could mean that an estimated 100,000 important jobs could be lost in the reduction process, and even though NASA funding has always returned far more in dollar value in discoveries and in industrial and communication advancements than the cost of the program — even with all of that, it seems to be the way Washington intends to do business."    And of course we have all sorts of smaller destructions, such as reported by Stephen Dinan in The Washington Times with his story about how, "The FDA won its two-year fight to shut down an Amish farmer who was selling fresh raw milk to eager consumers in the Washington, D.C., region after a judge this month banned Daniel Allgyer from selling his milk across state lines, and he told his customers he would shut down his farm altogether.

   "The decision has enraged Mr. Allgyer’s supporters, some of whom have been buying from him for six years and say the government is interfering with their parental rights to feed their children."  Some of his customers had some choice words on the matter.  " ‘I can’t believe in 2012 the federal government is raiding Amish farmers at gunpoint all over a basic human right to eat natural food,’ said one of them, who asked not to be named."

   As usual, there are lots of other examples one could offer that show the gradual but systematic demolition of little businesses all over America.  We offer a number of examples in this chronicle but if we gave you many more from the massive information available, this effort would end up as a massive encyclopedia.

   There are also a number of people, organizations and governments that see where all of this seems to be headed.  China is cutting its U.S. Treasury holdings and Wyoming state Representatives are bringing up state legislation aimed at dealing with the possible event of a complete economic and/or political collapse in our nation.  And again, there’s much more along these lines.  The situation is not going unnoticed.

   We see that our national breakdown is really never exemplified in just one area of our society.  It is, as in all complex systems, found in many different domains.  Often it is lumped under the category of "corruption."  A good place for most of it, to be sure.

   It is also almost an established institution in some areas.  As revealed by Reuters news service, Chicago seems, as usual, to take the number one position with regard to corruption.  As the wire service writer Andrew Stern details, "The city where gangster Al Capone once kept the mayor on his payroll, ranked first in public corruption convictions over the past three decades.

   It is also my understanding that Los Angeles ranks second and New York’s Manhattan island is in third place.  It should also be noted that all of these locations are major liberal Democratic strongholds. The state of Illinois is also a problem area, as is the District of Columbia (not actually counting the politicians) and the state of Louisiana.  Oh, and if your favorite place hasn’t been singled out in this listing, never fear — I wouldn’t be surprised if your area has some action in these areas as well.

   How does all this fraud and corruption impact our election process?,  you might ask. GodfatherPolitics.com has gathered a lot of relevant information about this and their writer Gary DeMar now lets us know the real story.  "Reports are coming in that the voter rolls have been faked.  We knew that the voter rolls were padded in places like Chicago, but now we’re learning that the fraud is more widespread than we ever could have imagined."

   As further revealed, "A new report by Pew Center on the States estimates that among 24 million voter registrations, about one out of every eight are either no longer valid or are inaccurate.  Of the invalid or inaccurate registrations, 1.8 million belong to deceased individuals and 2.75 million belong to people who are registered to vote in more than one state."

   With the left pushing hard in bogus registration and voting operations, "...2012 may be the first national election where there are more votes than actual voters."  This is an extremely serious situation.  Yes, voter fraud could actually decide this next election.

   So what is being done about it?  As reported by Conservative Byte, "Voter fraud has a history of plaguing elections, inspiring a growing number of states to enact voter identification laws in recent years.  The issue was the focus of a debate at the National Press Club between Heritage senior legal fellow Hans von Spakovsky and Laura Murphy, director of the ACLU’s Washington Legislative Office."  You can easily imagine the side that the ACLU took on this issue.  It is an organization that takes its liberal agenda very seriously.

   There has been some serious efforts, after many years of delay, to ban insider trading by government officials (elected or otherwise).  The Senate finally passed legislation that’s called the Stop Trading On Congressional Knowledge Act.  Ah, but there are still so many other ways to slice the pork.

   As The Center For Individual Freedom informs us, "While regular Americans can’t sell their homes for pennies on the dollar, members of Congress are using our hard-earned tax dollars to increase the values of their land, vacation homes, personal residences and businesses.  A Washington Post investigation reveals that 33 members of Congress have directed more than $401 million in earmarks and other spending provisions to dozens of public projects that are next to or within about two miles of the lawmakers’ own property."  My, how nice for them.

   And Human Events reports that "Former Rep. William Delahunt (D-Mass.), who retired last year, has been accused of shoveling government money into his own pocket after retirement."  As also noted, "Most of the money that Delahunt will earn comes directly from Energy Department grants that he secured while in office."  My, how nice for him.

   Yes, sometimes some Republicans have also been found doing the wrong thing, but at this time in our history, the vast, vast majority of such wrong doers are Democratic politicians.  That’s the way it is and that’s why the November election is one of the most important choices the people will ever make.  It’s a matter of whether or not we wish to be a free and honorable nation or become a heavily corrupted third-world nation.  It may come down to something as simple as that.

   Our security in America and in the world is no better than everything else that seems to be falling apart.  We understand that a major Mexican drug cartel has put a $1 million bounty on that courageous Arizona sheriff, Joe Arpaio.  A man who claims to be representing United Muslim Nations International has issued a warning to World Net Daily (WND) to "moderate" its reports concerning Islam. As WND’s Bob Unruh reveals, "The warning came in an email to WND from Faarooq al Mohammedi, who said he was asking on behalf of the Muslim organization that WND ‘comply as it would be in the companies best interest as we would not want to take you down the same route as we have with other non-compliant media firms.’ "  You can use your recollections and/or your imagination to imagine what that might mean.

   And, with regard to border security and the illegal aliens, "The Obama administration’s appointment of a public advocate for immigrant concerns about law enforcement policies makes a ‘mockery of the laws of the United States,’ the National Border Patrol Council said Feb. 8."  This was reported by Jerry Seper in The Washington Times.

   And, Godfather Politics tells us that, "Despite the claims of the Obama administration that they’ve been tough on illegal immigration and that the border is more secure than ever, the fact is that they have gone to extreme measures and have really stretched the authority of the executive branch to try to slow down immigration law enforcement in the interior to a slow trickle."  Those were the words of Jessica Vaughan, the director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies.

   She is further quoted as saying, "The administration has chosen not to defend the actions of its agency in doing its routine job.  They have put pressure on all of the agents all over the country to avoid arresting illegal aliens."  And, "Bob Dane, spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform pointed out that the Obama administration has been actively working on a plan to give amnesty and citizenship to the 13 million illegal immigrants (most of which are Hispanic)."

   They are expected, by many liberals, to be grateful to the point of specific political advantage, as so many are in Los Angeles.  That is a city that some say offers illegals as the largest Democratic voting block in the city.  Yes, it may offer a considerable political advantage, but it also severely compromises our nation’s security.  Among those illegal aliens are a notable number of drug smugglers, dealers, and violent gang members.  It makes a nice political mix for the Democrats, don’t you think?

   On more global security matters, the Washington Times could supply quite an interesting collection of worrisome clippings on the issue, such as with, "It’s no secret that China and Japan are on a path toward further diplomatic deterioration.  A clear sign is the escalation of a carefully timed war of warnings between the two Asian countries on the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic normalization."  And, "China continues to surge at an unprecedented speed as the world’s major contender to dominate space exploration.  Last year, China’s 19 space launches surpassed the U.S. rate for the first time in history.

   And, "Chinese cyber attacks and electronic intrusions into U.S. computer networks in peacetime are part of the preparations for a future high-technology war against the United States, according to the U.S. Pacific Command’s new commander. China’s military also plans to disrupt U.S. military and civilian computer networks by attacking satellites in space, as well as ground-based networks, according to Admiral Samuel J. Locklear III."

   And, "Intelligence activities by Russia, China and increasingly Iran pose significant threats to the United States, James R. Clapper Jr., the director of national intelligence, told Congress on Feb. 16."  As you can see, The Washington Times offers a comprehensive coverage of international security matters.

   And with all of that we hear that Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping (China’s next heir apparent) plans to visit the Pentagon (with his probing entourage of course).  And now we’re hearing more anti-Americanism spewing from the Moscow leadership.  And with all of that, "The Obama Administration is reportedly giving away Wrangfell, Bennett, Jeannette and Henrietta Islands in Alaska to Russia." (As reported by TheGatewayPundit.com.) There seem to be no end of our blind cooperation with our arch rivals, especially in the most sensitive areas of our national security.

   Along similar lines, it was reported that Guantanamo Bay detainees are given a $750,000 soccer field while, at the same time, Obama has decided to cut military health benefits, and he also cuts out combat pay for deployed U.S. troops.  And, as Rowan Scarborough in The Washington Times reports, "The Pentagon is not just cutting manpower to reach deficit-reduction targets, it’s 2013 budget, released Feb.13, shows the military will spend less to replace old weapons after grueling wars in Iraq and Afghanistan."  And, in the same publication, Bill Gertz tells us that, "President Obama has ordered the Pentagon to consider cutting U.S. strategic nuclear forces to as low as 300 deployed warheads — below the number believed to be in China’s arsenal and far fewer than current Russian strategic warhead stocks."

   Why don’t we have a national drive for us to give them all the keys to everything we have and be done with it?  Wouldn’t that be a lot simpler?

   The left-ended media is still up to its old tricks.  One of so many new examples would be as heard on "Flop House Radio" from KABC in Los Angeles: "They had to call them ‘Tea Parties.’  The ‘Clan’ name was taken."  This writer heard that comment personally, as it happened.

   Most of the dishonesty is more subtle.  It is by the sin of omission.  Pat Buchanan learned that recently, as he wrote in The Washington Times: "My days as a political analyst at MSNBC have come to an end. ... I am departing, after an incessant clamor from the left that to permit me continued access to the microphones of MSNBC would be an outrage against decency, and dangerous.

   "The calls for my firing began almost immediately with the Oct. 18 publication of ‘Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?’ "  This is a book written by Mr. Buchanan which the elite-left evidently felt must be suppressed in every way possible.  I learned that lesson in 1999 with the release of my first book, "Good-Bye, America?"

   Another book that might be worthy of mention would be "Consent of the Networked" by Rebecca MacKinnon.  It spotlights the process through which private companies (such as some Internet companies) are so willing to do the dirty work of censorship for certain government regimes.  This should also include broadcast networks, newspapers and etc.

   Of course some liberal communicators don’t even try to hide their obvious political predispositions, as we learned near the end of this month when erstwhile comedian Bill Maher announced his $1 million donation to an Obama Super PAC.  Evidently Mr. Maher’s nasty-mouth approach to relentless attacks on conservatives is not considered as a hindrance to his donation — not by Obama’s people.

   And, as you now see, the Internet is not immune to the left’s relentless push.  As revealed by Conservative Byte, "Prominent pro-life advocate Bryan Kemper is questioning Facebook after it removed his pro-life message, a move that followed on the heels of the company’s decision to allow the posting of directions on how to perform an abortion at home."  Good grief!

   And how is the left-handed media continuing to fare in the face of their direction?  Once again we read about The New York Times.  This time we discover that the fourth quarter profits fell 12% — a reflection of continuing weakness in ad revenue.  It would seem they don’t have enough readers to attract a better result.  So it would seem.

   However, it was reported that the film and cable elements of News Corp. has boosted their profit.  Oh yes, their cable operation includes the more balanced Fox News, doesn’t it?  Hmm.

   As a concluding thought to this section, this writer recalls when Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, of The Washington Post, were able to tie in the minor break-in at the Watergate Hotel to the White House. The thought is, it would be a very interesting study in behavioral science to examine why the several important breaches of the law that are tied to the current White House are not considered equally important to today’s liberal mind.

   Where is the left-leaning media today?  What seems to be obscuring their mental processes?  Inquiring minds would like to know.

   On the Moslem front we see everything from the realization that the new Egypt is far more wary of America than under the old regime, and we find Egyptian officials not allowing Americans to leave the country.  And in Syria, bombings escalate as outside monitors try to calm things down.  All the while, it is speculated that if the current Syrian regime falls, we may finally discover the truth about weapons of mass destruction that are thought to have been whisked across the border into Syria from Iraq as the Americans advanced deep into that nation during our Desert Storm operation.

   Meanwhile, the current American administration in Washington is doing its best to fall back on ever alibi that they can think of — every alibi that is possible to keep from actually getting involved in any significant way.  The Obama policy of leading from behind remains intact.

   The story isn’t any better in Afghanistan.  The Afghan Defense Minister makes it clear that planned U.S. troop reductions is very seriously endangering the security of their nation.  And this uncomfortable fact serves as a backdrop to the rising rage over the U.S. housecleaning process that tried to burn useless or dangerous documentation, including copies of the Quran which had been marked up with secret messages to and from extremist elements.

   Of course Obama apologized, as though we had actually done something wrong.  And of course this resulted in an even more serious escalation of the violence in the area, which included the killing of U.S. soldiers as well.  The terrorists couldn’t have asked for a greater gift.

   And what is the White House doing about all of this?  Why, they are planning to open talks with the Taliban.  That’s the official word.  Amrullah Saleh, Afghan National Security Director from 2004 to 2010, has been quoted as saying, "Negotiating with the Taliban after more than 10 years of fighting means giving legitimacy and space to militant extremism." What else would you be expecting Obama to do?

   And naturally things just keep getting worse in Iran as well.  As reported by Reza Kahlili (WND), "Amid crippling sanctions over its nuclear weapons program, Iran is continuing to prepare itself for war against the West, and now is warning of a coming great event.  ‘In light of the realization of the divine promise by almighty God, the Zionists and the Great Satan (America) will soon be defeated,’ Ayatolla Khamenei, the Iranian supreme leader, is warning.

   "Khamenei, speaking to hundreds of youths from more than 70 countries attending a world conference on the Arab Spring just days ago, told a cheering crowd in Tehran that ‘Allah’s promises will be delivered and Islam will be victorious.’ "  Countries represented in the event included Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Bahrain.

   Meanwhile, current Iranian actions are now finally suggesting to the administration in Washington that nation has strong links to al Qaeda.  It should be no surprise when you consider the weapons and other material aid given to the Iraqi terrorists by Iran.  The connection has been long established and well known, at least to everyone except Obama and his crew.

   And, in the middle of this month, the Associated Press released the following dispatch: "Iran claimed Wednesday that it has achieved two major advances in its program to master production of nuclear fuel, a defiant move in response to increasingly tough Western sanctions over its controversial nuclear program.  Iranian officials also indicated that they were on the verge of imposing an oil embargo on European countries to retaliate for the sanctions ..."

   As you might have imagined, the Iranian threats (along with the American pipeline shutdown) have upset the oil market, and ultimately started raising the gas price at the pump.  These things do tend to escalate until they finally end up hitting us all in the pocketbook.

Finally, as reported by Jay Solomon in The Wall Street Journal, "Iran has significantly increased its stockpile of a purer form of enriched uranium that is closer to weapons grade, according to the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog, and has begun to produce it at a fortified mountain site seen as potentially immune from a military strike."  Time is running out.

   Some thoughtful observers suggest it may be time to go around the Supreme Ayatollah and make serious contact with senior elements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and others who share power in that nation.  Well, whatever is done, it had better be done pretty damn quickly.  That’s the thought of growing numbers around the world.

   A statement has come out of the House Judiciary Committee panel on crime that tells us that our federal criminal code has become so large and cumbersome that even many regular citizens may be violating some of the laws without ever knowing it. That is not so surprising when you realize that there are approximately 4,500 criminal statutes that must be considered.

   With all the confusion, unworkability and unfairness in our legal system, some states are beginning to take some action.  By way of example, the state of Texas is pushing forward with the idea of tort reform that will require the looser, in civil cases, to pay the costs all around.  Many are saying it’s about time.

   Also, the Texas Supreme Court has ruffled the feathers of many of the state’s attorneys as it moves forward with a plan for self-filed divorces in uncontested cases.  Since the attorneys make as much as $100 an hour and more, they want to get what they can — as much as possible.  The good news is that this movement toward self-representation is developing in other parts of our nation as well.

   Things don’t always work out this well with the courts, however.  As reported by Godfather Politics.com, "...here in America, we are seeing a frightening trend where a court consisting of just one judge to as many as nine judges in the Supreme Court take it upon themselves to tell American voters that their votes don’t count."

   As further noted, "In 2010, 70% of Oklahoma voters voted in favor of State Question 755.  SQ 755 was an amendment to the state constitution that barred courts from looking to the laws of other nations, especially Sharia laws when making their rulings in cases before them.  The exact wording in the measure is, ‘Specifically, the courts shall not consider international law or Sharia law.’

   "Even though the measure received enough popular votes to amend the state constitution, Muneer Awad, the executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma objected and challenged the amendment in court.  A liberal court ruled in his favor, forcing the case to go before a federal court of appeals."  Yes, the appeals court came down against the voters and ruled to block the amendment from taking effect.  This sort of court cancellation has occurred elsewhere, particularly in the state of California with regard to state propositions that were passed by the people.  Now you know who really runs things.

   Another issue of concern involving judges, "Since 2009, the five judges of the Delaware Court of Chancery, one of the country’s most powerful business courts, have been deciding certain big business cases in private.  Now they are facing a lawsuit brought by a citizens group, questioning the legality of judge-run arbitrations and accusing the court of conducting secret proceedings." (Peg Brickley, WSJ)

   Some of the concerns rise all the way to the highest court in the land — the U.S. Supreme Court, which has, "...refused to hear oral arguments on whether Justice Elena Kagan should recuse herself from the ObamaCare lawsuit."

   That quote and the following review of the facts involved are from Steve Elliott of Grassfire Nation: "The Judicial Crisis Network (JCN) has carefully documented Kagan’s work on behalf of ObamaCare while she served as Obama’s Solicitor General. According to JCN, Kagan engaged her department in the strategy to defend ObamaCare in court ‘before [ObamaCare] had even been signed into law.’  So Kagan was an advocate for ObamaCare even before the final votes were cast.

 It was further noted that, "Federal law (28 U.S.C. 455) clearly stipulates the grounds for judges to disqualify themselves in cases, including if the judge’s ‘impartiality might reasonably be questioned’ or if the judge served in federal office as ‘counsel’ or ‘adviser’ or ‘expressed an opinion’ on a matter."

   With all of that, and all we and others have been reporting on concerning such breaches of law in our land for some time now, there should be no doubt whatsoever, in your mind or in anyone else’s mind when seeing such facts, that law and order in America has indeed been most seriously compromised.

   I don’t like this either, but this is the way things really are.

   Patriotism remains under attack in some of our schools.  As emailed to us by Lynne Welke, we have a heart renting story about, "...a veteran and patriot that wanted to donate a flag pole and flag to his son’s school, because they did not have one."  The school in question is San Diego’s High Tech High School.

   "The students want the flag, but he [High Tech’s Larry Rosenstock] refuses to allow it.  And these high schools are funded with our tax money — not to mention state law requires they fly an American flag." It’s the sort of thing we have found in some of our schools in a wide diversity of areas around the nation.  What is hard to imagine, is why a mind set would ever develop this particular proclivity.  It’s really hard to understand.

   And in other areas of equal bewilderment, we read that, "Last October, atheist Ernie Perce wore a zombie Muhammad costume to a Halloween event.  Talaag Elbayomy, a Muslim, confronted Perce about his costume, told him it was offensive and then started to beat him.  The attack was caught on video.

   As further observed, "His decision to throw out the case basically sends a message to all Muslims in Pennsylvania that they can physically attack anyone who offends their religion.  Yet, in the same state, Christians are arrested for trying to share their religion by offering pregnant women an alternative to abortion.  If that Christian is standing on the public sidewalk in front of an abortion clinic, they can and have been arrested."  This story has come to us through GodfatherPolitics.com.

   This same source has also shared this message: "Occupy Washington protesters have been camping on US Park Service property for the past four months. They littered and trashed the park.  They urinated and defecated all over it.  They even defaced public property and nearby buildings.  But few arrests were ever made.

   "However, let a group of six religious leaders kneel and pray in front of the White House, and you have Obama’s Gestapo-like Park Police swoop down like vultures on a fresh kill and carry the men off to jail." That’s the way things are going these days.  That’s what we’ve come to expect in the "new America."

   And of course we have Pelosi.  We always have someone like Pelosi.  As Thomas Cloud wrote in CNSNews.com, "House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) vowed that she will join with the Obama administration in standing up against the Catholic Church in defending a new regulation that will require Catholic individuals to buy, and Catholic institutions to provide, health insurance plans that cover sterilizations and artificial contraceptives, including those that induce abortions."

   Well, it seems that’s what we’ve come to.

   We read news reports of union thugs roaming the streets in key areas of key states, like Wisconsin, where all the stops have been pulled out in their efforts to recall the governor for having the unmitigated gall to make the union tighten its belt, even as the call has gone out for everyone else to do the same.  The teachers’ union in California serves us with another good example.  As reported by David Feith in The Wall Street Journal, "...for downright nastiness, Southern California is ground zero.  SoCal earns this dubious distinction largely because of the educational establishment’s rage over ‘parent trigger,’ a reform that’s been on California’s books since January 2010."  It has the nerve to give, "...unprecedented rights to parents whose children are stuck in failing public schools."  How dare they. You can imagine the mess that is generated over that issue.

   Of course the most serious unrest of all is the shooting attacks in schools, which still continue from time to time, as recently headlined in a Cleveland-area high school.  It is an issue that is not being addressed successfully at all.

   As this writer has mentioned previously, on our web site, most of the violent attackers have a trail behind them of what might be called "behavioral footprints."  We have got to do serious research in this area and learn how to determine as many such dangerous instabilities as we can, in advance.  Then we need to have procedures and psychiatric help that can make a difference.

   Of course it is much easier said than done.  Who’s to take the first step?  And, how are we going to safeguard investigations and procedures so that they are not tainted by political ideologies?  And, where is the money coming from?  All of these questions and more come to mind.  All of them must be properly dealt with.

   Or, we can go on as we have been going.  Of course we will continue to have school and workplace massacres.  It’s a question as to how much that sort of things matters to those who can do something about it.  And it also starts with how you and I feel about it and what we are willing to do to get the ball rolling.  As usual, it all comes down to that, doesn’t it?

   And so we have another month of traumatic change — a month filled with more trials and tribulations, another month that will take time to recover from, but we can recover from, if enough of us will make the effort.

Special Report: Racists To Judgement

   With the clarion call to left activists, blacks and other minorities and with the enthusiastic cooperation of a compliant, left-leaning media, the shooting of the young black man in Florida by a Neighborhood Watch volunteer, has brought about an intense frenzy that is absolutely amazing. Since there is such a vivid prejudgement among the many who are taking to the streets and shouting to the media and to anyone else who will listen, this report is clearly necessary as an attempt to obtain some sort of honest clarification.  There are those who certainly don’t want any such clarification, but that’s what we are going to present.

   First, the killing was, in our opinion, an avoidable tragedy. As a co-founder of the Citizens Patrol of Pacific Beach in the San Diego area of California, this writer can tell you that we would never allow anyone to go on patrol with a gun.  We also patrolled in pairs — with one to observe and one to drive.  We also did a thorough background check on all potential patrol volunteers.  We also provided an instructional training that included the clear instructions that those on patrol were not to leave their car, were not to identify themselves or otherwise call attention to themselves, and were to report quickly and responsibly to our dispatchers on any suspicious observations.

   The only exception would be with something like an automobile accident where there was someone injured or stranded.  It was made very clear that we were there to observe and report and to help those truly in need.  This is how we feel that this sort of thing should be done.  And our local police found this to be very responsible and helpful.  In fact, the local Grand Jury sent us a letter of special commendation for our good work.

   Now, for this case at hand:  To begin with, George Zimmerman’s confrontation with Trayvon Martin brought about medically examined and treated injuries that were consistent with Mr. Zimmerman’s claim of being knocked to the ground and jumped on and having his nose broken and his head pounded into the cement, by Mr. Martin.  This is also in agreement with the statement of an eye-witness who evidently saw Trayvon Martin on top of Mr. Zimmerman while beating him.

   Also, News Editor Joe Miller tells us, "The Orlando Sentinel reported that George Zimmerman told police he lost 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in the neighborhood he regularly patrolled and was walking back to his vehicle last month when the youth approached him from behind."

   Since much of the media and almost all of the energetic demonstrators are claiming that George Zimmerman is a dangerous white racist, it should be pointed out that a comprehensive investigation reveals that he is an Hispanic and a registered Democrat and that he tutored black children on the weekend.  Now that’s the truth.

   And what about Trayvon Martin?  He was not only suspended from school three times in the months before he was shot, the Miami Herald claims that in October, he was caught with a burglary tool and 12 pieces of women’s jewelry. He claimed that such items didn’t belong to him.  It was also suggested he may have been the youth who attacked a bus driver, although that has yet to be confirmed.  Now that’s the truth as well.

   Now let’s look at some of the crazy-mad reaction to it all.  This writer saw the video from Sanford, Florida where the leader of the New Black Panther Party has offered a $10,000 bounty for the capture of the man who killed Trayvon Martin. Some are saying it’s a "dead of alive" private warrant (as clearly written that way in the distributed flyers), not unlike a contract for a "hit."

   Whatever it may be, it is most certainly an incitement to violence and an open invitation for murder.  We wondered where the Attorney General was with all of this going on, until we all heard Obama making his statement — a statement that cleared up nothing.  In fact his comment that, "Trayvon could have been my son," has left us all with a very clear message that only serves to incite even more radical reactions.

   At this point, an observation if I might.  Where has this angry mob been with regard to the many hundreds of murders in black-on-black confrontations?  Is that sort of thing just not politically expedient?  What do you think?

   And the mindless reactions have gone on and on and on. We even see that black Democrat Congressman Bobby Rush went before the House of Representatives with a "hoodie" demonstration that got him kicked off the floor.

  And we see Spike Lee giving out an address he thought was the home of George Zimmerman.  It turns out to have been the wrong address, but it most certainly caused a great amount of fear and frustration for the hapless elderly couple that had to leave the premises for the sake of their safety.

   Even Oprah has gotten into the act.  And now Trayvon’s mother is Trademarking his name and turning her kid into a brand with T-shirts, hoodies and Lord knows what else.  It’s turning into a real circus.

   GodFatherPolitics.com has observed how one-sided and blatantly racist this whole thing is.  They reminded us of "The shooting deaths of two British student — James Cooper and James Kouzaris — murdered last April in Florida by a black youth received no attention by black leaders or President Obama.  Three letters were sent to the President that never received a reply.  ‘It would perhaps appear,’ friends of the victims said, ‘that Mr. Obama sees no political value in facilitating such a request or that the lives of two British tourists are not worthy of ten minutes of his time.’ "

   And of course race hustlers like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson got right in the middle of the fray as well. GodFatherPolitics observed that, "It was Al Sharpton who said that Herman Cain was not ‘authentically black.’ "  Well of course not.  He doesn’t choose to see things the way you want him to.

   And, what about Jesse Jackson?  He "...has made millions by ‘shakedown’ tactics to extract money from corporations. Willie Ellis expressed his frustration with Jackson: ‘Open your eyes: Jesse Jackson is for Jesse Jackson and Jesse Jackson only.  He stole from the people long enough.  It’s time the people know the true man Jesse Jackson is.  He has rode on black peoples’ coattails long enough.’  Harold Davis said Jackson ‘is a shakedown artist, and nobody holds him accountable.’ "

   It might further be said that Jackson is considered to be worth at least $40 million, while Martin Luther King died broke, which Davis also noted.  And meanwhile, those two con artists have joined in, stirring up the flames of civil disorder.  So it goes.

   And now we come to our teetering economy.  Just in case you might not have remembered, when Obama came into office, gas prices averaged around $1.89 a gallon. Unemployment was around 9 times lower (at least 2 million below today’s figure).  The lending and housing markets were still reasonably functional.  The U.S. auto industry was still functioning without taxpayer funding.

   The federal debt was around 4 trillion dollars lower.  Food Stamp recipients were about 13 trillion less than today. Health care premiums averaged 41% less than today.  And Americans considered to be in poverty were 6.4 million less on Obama’s inauguration day.

   And what do the Democrats have to say about that?  Well, Axelrod blames the Republicans for a Democrat controlled Senate not having a budged in over three years.  Shouldn’t there be some way to blame George Bush for that?  Hmm.

   Of course now we are hearing that our economy has improved a little bit recently.  How nice.  Then maybe we should not pay attention to the lackluster performance at the malls.  And let us not consider it was also recently reported that a number of California cities have gotten into extremely serious financial condition.  Cities like Lincoln, Hercules and Stockton are in dire straits.  They sport millions in deficits, with no place to go (except perhaps bankruptcy).  It’s a problem coming to a head in other parts of America as well.

   According to Karen Pierog at Reuters news service, "A growing number of U.S. cities are choosing to fund essential services like public safety and garbage collection over making payments on their outstanding debt, as rising costs and falling revenue deplete their budgets."  We also see that Detroit, with its draining union control, is headed toward what seem to be inevitable bankruptcy.

   So, how are our young adults doing in these wonderful times?  As James R. Hagerty reports in The Wall Street Journal, "Young people entering the job market are taking the brunt of the downward pressure on wages caused by high unemployment, according to a new analysis of pay trends."

   And while all of this is going on, we hear Forbes telling us that, "Fannie Mae reported booking a $16.9 billion 2011 loss capped off by the loss of $2.4 billion in the fourth quarter." And the Post Office is getting closer and closer to toppling over.

   So, what is being done about all of this?  Donald Lambro (in The Washington Times) shows us how Obama is restricting our energy supply and that just might be contributing to our high gas prices.  And China is moving further and further away from the U.S. dollar.  Can you blame them?

   And how about the job market?  As we’ve revealed previously, the actual figures are far greater than what is reported.  This is something terribly wrong, but in the face of all the other wrongs that are piling up, it’s only just one more among many dozens.

   As Human Events informs us, "Barack Obama doesn’t just kill jobs and depress the U.S. economy by accident.  He puts a lot of work into it.  Politico reports on his continuing, energetic efforts to block the Keystone XL oil pipeline."  The jobs destroyed here are counted in the many thousands.

   And, as reported by Richard W. Rahn in The Washington Times, "The press has been less focused on the job killing that stems from all of the new financial regulations, which may end up eliminating tens of millions of jobs."

   The Wall Street Journal reports a puzzling bit in the Jon Hilsenrath Outlook article, "Can unemployment fall sharply if growth is modest?  That was the case in the fourth quarter when the average unemployment rate fell nearly a percentage point in a year."

   He further reports that, "The correlation since 1970 between output and unemployment implies that annual growth of close to 5% is needed to produce a drop in unemployment of this magnitude, but U.S. GDP grew a mere 1.6% in that 12-month period."  It would seem that some of the official figures have been "cooked," wouldn’t it?  So it would seem.

   Newsmax magazine tells us, "Charles Biderman of TrimTabs.com, a company that has tracked employment-related data daily for over 14 years, says the Bureau of Labor Statistics needs to catch up with the times."  As revealed, "On a year-to-year basis, you would not need to account for seasonal variation.  But unemployment is always compared from month to month.  And seasonal variation estimates aren’t always accurate."

   And further, "Biderman calculates U.S. wages and salaries only grew ‘a little under 1 percent’ in January 2012 compared to January 2011.  Account for inflation and the number is even less.  ‘There’s no way that translates into 243,000 jobs,’ Biderman declares.  Indeed, TrimTabs estimates the economy added fewer than 50,000 jobs in January and only about 40,000 in December."  And if you include those who are unemployed and no longer looking for work (not included in the government figures), you end up with an unemployment rate that is more likely well over 10%.

   As more and more people are starting to say, it’s a damn shame that we can no longer trust our own government.  So it would seem.

   Perhaps we are working hard in Washington to improve the economy, from an "energy" standpoint?  Think so?  Well, Audrey Hudson (Human Events) tells us, "The Senate failed to overturn the White House’s decision to block construction of the Keystone XL pipeline due in part to a last-minute lobbying effort by President Barack Obama."

   As further quoted, " ‘Frankly, it’s hard to even comprehend how out of touch (Obama) is on this issue,’ said Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.  ‘I mean, think about it: at a moment when millions are out of work, gas prices are skyrocketing and the Middle East is in turmoil, we’ve got a president who’s up making phone calls trying to block a pipeline here at home.  It’s unbelievable,’ McConnell said."

   As if that isn’t enough, a Wall Street Journal article suggests that the gasoline data is flawed.  And Human Events quotes Barbara Jones in a statement counter to Obama’s claim that the government is increasing oil production here in America.  "Obama has absolutely nothing to do with the increase in oil production in this country.  It’s being done on private land, not owned by the government."

   However Obama and his environmental goons are doing a lot with regard to energy.  As reported in The Wall Street Journal, "Rules on carbon-dioxide emissions will effectively block new coal-burning plants while encouraging natural gas as a fuel for generating electricity."  The conversion and rebuilding that will be necessary might be expected to restrict electric power for a period of time.  Anybody for rolling brown-outs?

   We were told that the new "green energy" movement was going to protect our environment and keep our economy moving along successfully.  And how is that going for us? Let’s see now, Ryan Tracy tells us (in the WSJ), "The Department of Energy has placed nearly one-third of its clean-energy loan portfolio on an internal ‘watch list’ for possible violations of terms or other concerns, according to a copy of the list obtained by The Wall Street Journal, highlighting how such concerns have spread beyond the now-bankrupt Solyndra LLC."

   Add to that the uncomfortable fact that it has now been announced Bright Automotive’s plug-in hybrid delivery van operation has shut it’s doors.  The Michigan company announced that over regulation processes and other government bureaucratic complications from the Department of Energy brought this about.

   Azure Dynamics electric delivery vans also seems to be at the end of the line and General Motors has idled the plant that produces the Chevy Volt , for at least five weeks, due to very slow sales.

   Gayle Hohman has been circulating an excellent analysis of why Volt production had to be powered down.  She wrote that, " ‘Cost to operate a Chevy Volt’ (Eric Bolling — Fox Business Channel’s ‘Follow the Money’) test drove the Chevy Volt at the invitation of general Motors.

   This writer owns a Toyota Prius that gets over 50 miles per gallon.  And the range is terrific.

   So, we are cutting taxes to get more funds into the economy as investments and as discretionary consumer spending? Well, not exactly.  Starting on April 1st we will have the highest corporate tax rate in the entire world (with an average combined federal and state profit levy of 29.2 percent).

   Other taxes upon taxes on all levels remain high and out of control, with more promised.  But Obama is attempting to give the impression that he is for tax reform.  Really?  As Donald Lambro reports in Human Events, "President Obama’s politically driven, election-year ‘tax reform’ gambit isn’t fooling anyone who’s read his latest proposal.

   Even the IRS is getting into the act.  As reported in Human Events, "While many are still breathing sighs of relief over canceled credit card debt during the great recession, the IRS may well have other plans.  According to a tax rule little known by the public, canceled or forgiven debt is usually considered taxable income."

   So much for tax reform.  Once again, in these terribly troubled waters, we are left to fend for ourselves.  Good luck.

   A few stalwart souls have actually braved the stormy seas of taxation.  Representative Paul Ryan and other Republicans have offered a budget plan that should begin to get things under control.  It’s only a beginning and it’s far from everything that we need, but it is a beginning.

   And the problems, they are relentlessly continuing.  As noted in a Review & Outlook editorial in The Wall Street Journal, "For months we’ve heard that the only obstacle to Congressional progress is the GOP refusal to work with Democrats.  But then what to make of the sudden opposition from regulators, liberals and some Senate Democrats to the bipartisan Jobs Act that passed the House 290-23 less than two weeks ago?"  That’s a question that all voters should be asking.

   And we notice that there is a slight improvement in a few of our state-level economies.  We find that unions are losing control in states like Indiana and that this is creating a real magnet for manufacturing jobs moving to that state.  Of course the federal government has been of no help whatsoever.

   We also see that in the state of Massachusetts, Gov. Deval Patrick is working hard to cut the massive red tape that has buried everything and everyone in a veritable mountain of paperwork.  Of course the federal government has been of no help whatsoever.

   It all comes down to the fact that it is far more likely that if we are to get back on our feet, we are going to have to pull up our boot-straps and do it ourselves.

   We have all heard about the lavish vacations and White House parties put on by the current president and his wife. We recall the European vacations that were fit for a king (or a new world dictator).  We recall the three million dollar Hawaiian vacations.  We recall so much that we would like to forget.  But it just keeps happening and, of course, you and I are paying for it.

   Peggy Noonan wrote a most insightful revelation in The Wall Street Journal about Mr. Barack Obama, the man.  The long and detailed article came down to one very simple and inescapable fact, Obama is being recognized more and more as very "devious and dishonest."

   Mona Charen wrote of him as being, "Blissfully, arrogantly, persistently inaccurate."  As she noted in The Washington Times, "He’s the one who told us that America invented the automobile and that John F. Kennedy had met with Nikita Khrushchev when we were on the brink of nuclear war. Actually, Kennedy met Khrushchev a year before the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the car was invented in Germany."

   And as further revealed, "Kenneth P. Green, writing at The American, notes that Obama’s pin-up, Spain, (lauded by Obama as a ‘world-wide leader in renewable energy’) is in ‘full retreat’ from its solar subsidies.  A 2009 study found that since 2000, Spain has spent 571,138 euros for each green job created.  The same study estimates that Spain lost 2.2 private sector jobs for every one of those so-called green jobs."

   And, "Remember Obama’s invocation of Chinese progress on solar technologies in his bid for subsidies to Solyndra and the rest?  It seems the Chinese were grinding out those solar panels mostly in response to European demand — an artificial demand that relied almost entirely on the subsidies of European governments."

   Additionally, "Europe is backing away from green energy subsidies because they are a waste of precious resources. The Europeans are also aware, though no one discusses it much, that all of their subsidies haven’t reduced Europe’s production of CO2 one whit."

   In other words, that snake oil salesman in the White House hasn’t told us the truth about much of anything.  His lies have been bold, often and very obvious.  Even a few of his almost-blind adherents have begun to wonder what they’ve been drinking.

   And then we have Obama talking quietly (off mike — so he thought) to Russia’s Medvedev, saying, "This is my last election.  After my election I have more flexibility."  He was talking about American missile and general defense cutbacks that would be more to the liking of the Russian regime.  How nice for them.

   What else can we say about this man?  Well, he was the first president to be in office when there was a cut to our credit rating as a nation.  And there is an increasing amount of evidence that has surfaced which strongly suggests that he applied for college aid as a foreign student which, of course he eventually denied.

   He is also the first president that was ever held in contempt of court (for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico).  And he’s the first man in The White House to ever revoke our bankruptcy laws in order to make it possible for him to turn over control of American companies to his supporting labor unions.

   And we have never had a president before who was quick to spend at least a trillion dollars on what he declared were shovel-ready jobs and then later admit there was no such thing as shovel-ready jobs.  He is also the first "Chief Executive" to be so successful in completely by-passing the Congress for appointments and preferred implementations.

   It is also the first time the White House has had a $102,000 a year dog trainer or 22 personal servants for the first lady. And we never before had a president that would go on multiple global apology tours, or win the Nobel Peace Prize for doing absolutely nothing.  (After all, he had just gotten into office when he got the prize.)

   He is also the first U.S. president to fire an inspector general at Ameri-Corps for catching one of his friends in a corruption case.  And let us not forget how he has threatened and otherwise harmed countless American companies, evidently because he wants to forcefully enforce a different (more radical) way of doing things.

   Also, he and his personal Attorney General have taken the path of ignoring laws they choose not to enforce.  He is also the first president to actually terminate our ability to put a man in space.  He also has implemented a secret amnesty program for illegal aliens.

   Barack Obama is personally responsible for all of these things, and so many more that it would fill a book just to list them.  This sampling should get you started.

   One of the big surprises is the fact that The Washington Post and the San Francisco Examiner actually were willing to print a very blunt and honest peace about Obama by the well known and respected columnist, Matt Patterson.  And of course it’s all over the Internet as well.  But then, we would have expected it to be there.

   Excerpts from the rather long column include the following: "Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages.  How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world’s largest economy, direct the world’s most powerful military, execute the world’s most consequential job?"

   Further on Matt writes, "And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama’s ‘spiritual mentor;’ a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama’s colleague and political sponsor.  It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?"

   Mr. Patterson also noted that, "Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois;  he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate.

   "All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary.  What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks?"

   The article also wonders, "...what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles.  Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess.  It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence.  But really, what were we to expect?  The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?"

   Another area of inquiry that the writer of this chronicle has been reluctant to go into, is now getting a growing amount of serious attention.  It involved the place of birth of our current president.

   I have no idea where the man was born.  He could have been born in the winter quarters of the Ringling Brothers circus in Florida for all I know.  But what I do know is that a considerable amount of forensic information and other data has come up that suggests, whatever the truth may be, it may be time for a very thorough investigation.

   An example of what we are hearing:  Sheriff Arpaio’s investigators have announced that the long-form birth certificate Mr. Obama released last year is a computer-generated forgery.  We also see that there does seem to be some sort of really concerted effort to silence any media efforts to actually try and see what the truth might be.

   As WNDs Drew Zahn reports, "An Alabama State Supreme Court justice earlier this week agreed that findings suggesting Barack Obama presented a forged birth certificate to the nation ‘would raise serious questions about the [document’s] authenticity’ if presented as evidence in court."

   WND has also released a video interview with, "...a retired Illinois postman who claims former terrorist Bill Ayers’ parents told him they were financially supporting ‘foreign student’ Barack Obama through Harvard."  WND further reports that, "...the establishment media have completely ignored the story, and when news-agenda-setter Matt Drudge posted it on his Drudge report, liberal watchdogs Media Matters and the Democratic Underground quickly unleashed scorn on Drudge."

   WND further reveals, as reported by Bob Unruh, "Another lawsuit has been filed asking state officials to remove Barack Obama’s name from the 2012 election ballot because he has not documented that he is eligible for the office — but this case in florida has a twist.  It was brought by a Democrat.

   "The case was filed by Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch USA on behalf of Democrat Michael Voeltz, ‘a registered member of the Democrat Party, voter, and taxpayer in Broward County, who was an eligible elector for the Florida Primary of Jan. 31, 2012."  Now isn’t that interesting.

   Most of the Democrat party efforts on this issue are involved with the usual intimidations and cover-ups, however WND tells us that one fellow has taken it a step further.  "A Tennessee man described as an Obama ‘fanatic’ has been convicted of threatening to kill Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his family, possibly in connection with the lawman’s investigation into the president’s eligibility for office."

   There are more witnesses, more documents, and it all is beginning to generate more and more doubt.  I say, let’s do one very comprehensive, open, non-partisan investigation and find out, one way or the other, once and for all.

   The nature of this president manifests itself in many ways and it most certainly does seem to effect the rest of us most particularly in his reach for and his exercise of power.  In this chronology you have seen many examples.  Many more are coming to light with every passing day.

   It is not just in Obama’s foreign policies, through which Iran is now slowly taking over more and more of Iraq.  It is an even more dangerous situation within our own nation as the leadership element does all that it can to take over our own country.

   As the FEMA government website reports, "On March 13, 2012, the White House announced an innovative partnership between the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) to establish a FEMA-devoted unit of 1,600 service corps members within AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC)..."

   This will allow Obama’s "community organization" model to be spread throughout the federal government and thereby also spread throughout America.  It can be expected to be an exceptionally strong power base for the expansion and consolidation of his ever growing control of all things and all places in America.

   And following that theme, "...the U.S. Department of Labor ... recently called for amending present hazardous occupation orders (HOs) to severely curtail what young people under age 16 can do on farms." (Human Events)  This includes new restrictions on the use of such common farm items as tractors and working with livestock and working in orchards, harvesting fruits and vegetables and Lord knows what else.

   Having worked on a farm in Michigan in my youth, this writer recalls how much was learned and all the great skills that were developed under the way things were, not as they would have them be now.

   ConservativeByte.com now tells us about a most disturbing turn of events.  "On March 16th, President Obama signed a new Executive Order which expands upon a prior order issued in 1970 for Disaster Preparedness, and gives the office of the President complete control over all the resources in the United States in times of war or emergency.  The National Defense Resources Preparedness order gives the Executive Branch the power to control and allocate energy, production, transportation, food, and even water resources by decree under the auspices of national defense and national security. The order is not limited to wartime implementation, as one of the order’s functions includes the command and control of resources in peacetime determinations."

   If you will read just a little bit of the history of nations you will quickly discover that this is often one of the principal devices that is used to take dictatorial control of a country.  It is something that you had better pay one hell of a lot of attention to.  It is something you had better damn well do something about.  That seems to be the collective wisdom of all of us who have discovered what is happening here.

   Remember Sandra Fluke who testified before a hastily contrived Democrat "committee" meeting that was made into a media event, with the most willing help of most of our compliant media?  As I am sure you recall, she just couldn’t afford birth control so she could do her thing at the university she was attending.

   Now, with a little checking, we are learning a lot about that situation and poor little Miss Fluke.  As Aaron Klein (WND) reports, "...it was Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-NY, who pushed for Fluke’s testimony."  And we are further informed that, "Maloney is tied to a progressive pollster, Celinda Lake, who recently ran extensive polling in an effort to gauge voters’ reactions to including birth control or contraception in insurance coverage.  Lake heads Lake Research, which lists both Maloney and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as recent clients."

   And Gateway Pundit writes, "Poor Sandra Fluke, the 30-year-old far left activist who wants you to pay for her $9 a month birth control, is dating a rich socialist.  They recently traveled to Spain and Italy together."  Were you set-up, America?  It would certainly seem so.

   Meanwhile, the work goes on to stack and distort the election process to the benefit of one particular party. Actually, that isn’t the most shocking revelation.  The most shocking and absolutely the most despicable thing of all is the very uncomfortable fact that this manipulation of the election process is being ignored or played down by most of the American media and even a significant number of Americans who are aware of what is happening either don’t care enough or not at all.  Everyone seems to be letting it happen.  It’s on a par with an outright attack on our country, but it’s from the inside, so most seem to be willing to tolerate it.

   Of course there are some state legislatures and some leadership elements that are doing what they think they can to stop this assault on our time honored elective processes.  It’s a small voice so far, but it’s persistent.

   The TeaPartyEconomist.com informs us, through Gary North’s post, that, "The NAACP has taken the case against voter registration cards to the United Nations."  The UN hasn’t the authority to do anything (so far), but the extreme racist group should be able to get some publicity out of it.

   Meanwhile, as reported in The Washington Times by Stephen Dinan, "The Justice Department blocked Texas’ new voter-identification law March 12, arguing that it targets the state’s Hispanics, igniting yet another clash between President Obama’s administration and a GOP-run state.

   "Texas is the second state to have its voter-ID laws rejected by the Justice Department, which has cast a critical eye on Republican-controlled legislatures as they move to combat both illegal immigration and voter fraud."  Never mind that these states are willing to offer a free and easy identification process.  The Obama controlled Justice Department wants the voting operation to be an unchecked, wide-open process. They have made that very clear.  Can you guess why?  Of course you can.

   And further, we find that the IRS is really going after Tea Party groups and others on the "right" to intimidate them and silence them in any way that they can.  It’s their new assignment from "you know who."  And, as reported in The Wall Street Journal, "Shareholder proxy season is coming up, and along with it, a new batch of politicized shareholder resolutions.

   And as reported by Reuters, "A democratic state lawmaker from Chicago, charged last week with accepting a bribe, overwhelmingly won his party’s primary on Tuesday, reinforcing the reputation of the nation’s third-largest city for turning a blind eye to corruption."  Well, don’t worry, Chicago.  If your politician goes to jail, you still have Chicago politics alive and well on the national level.

   Now we are hearing about the Democrat headquarters in Lake County, Florida flying a sort-of American flag with the stars on a field of blue replaced by a facial image of Barack Obama.  As GodFatherPolitics.com tells us, "Local veterans saw the illegal flag flying over the Democrat headquarters building and were quite upset." Unfortunately, defacing the American flag, or just about anything else, seems to be nothing new for this type of political blasphemer.  Don’t be surprised.

   WNDs award-winning executive news director, Joe Kovacs, observes that, "Perhaps she’s never gotten over being mistaken for a hotel maid while serving as U.S. Secretary of State, but Madeleine Albright is joining the chorus of the political left today, claiming there’s a ‘war on women’ stoked by Republicans."  It’s a well-orchestrated rendition of their latest attempt to invent an issue, in the hope that most of the voters will not look beyond such fictions to what is really going on.  That’s what we hear.  That’s what we understand.

   Pravda, the national Russian paper has clearly decided that it will be overwhelmingly in their best interest to have Obama re-elected this coming November.  We see, on Pravda’s website, the following:  "Electing Mitt Romney as the next President of the United States of America would be like appointing a serial pedophile as a kindergarten teacher, a rapist as a janitor at a girls’ dormitory or a psychopath with a fixation on knives as a kitchen hand."

   As you might imagine, the liberal left in America just loves this sort of thing.  It’s popping up everywhere, while, at the same time, the so-called tolerant, open-minded left do all that they can to silence any facts or viewpoints that are contrary to their myopic, politically driven agenda.  In other words, it would seem, the least liberal of all are those who like to call themselves "liberals."

   Philip Freeman writes in The Wall Street Journal, "It was a bitter and volatile campaign, with accusations of inconsistency, incompetence and scandal filling the air. Candidates competed to portray themselves as the true conservative choice, while voters fretted about the economy and war threatened in the Middle East."  Now here’s what’s really interesting in all of this.  "The year was 64 B.C., and Marcus Tullius Cicero was running for Roman consul."  It would seem, nothing seems to change.

   Many web sites and now even a number of publications are referring to the U.S. Justice Department as "The Department of Injustice."  When you take a long and detailed look at what the Obama/Holder Justice Department has become, it is not surprising.  It is inevitable.

   Adding to the numerous reports we have given you, and all the many others you may also be aware of, let us add a WSJ Review & Outlook contribution.  It noted in part, "Something is very rotten at the U.S. Department of Justice.  No other reasonable conclusion can be drawn from an independent report on the 2008 prosecution of then-Senator Ted Stevens.

   Further, "...three years after Judge Sullivan set aside the guilty verdicts against Stevens, the department still hasn’t disciplined the men and women involved.  Nor has it instituted harsher penalties for future abuses."  A possible reason for this "stall" is perhaps they might see massive current abuses which they just may not want accounted and answered for.

   And, as the same publication sees things, the abuses are piling up. Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Thomas Perez, wrote to the Director of Elections in Texas. "Mr. Perez claims the state’s voter identification law, which passed last year and required voters to present one of several forms of ID at the polls, violates Section 5 of the 1965 Voting Rights Act." Well, the Supreme Court ruled, in 2008, that a similar Indiana law requiring photo ID did not impose an undue burden on voters.

   Holder and his Justice Department just doesn’t give a damn. It’s as simple as that.  And, in the meantime, "Two more Congressmen have added their names to a House resolution of ‘no confidence’ in Attorney General Eric Holder due to his leadership role in the ‘Fast and Furious’ gun-walking scandal that has resulted in more than 300 murders — including U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian A. Terry."

   And further, "According to several published reports, the resolution now boasts a total of ‘120 U.S. House members ... or more than one quarter of the House.’ "  This, from a report sent to Internet supporters, from Darla Dawald (Patriot Action Network).

   In the middle of all of this, the patriotic video documentist, Andrew Britbart dies suddenly, just before he was to release new video that is said to be somewhat revealing, about Obama in his "college" period.  He will be missed.  He had successfully exposed many lies and criminal activities of various institutions on the left.  He will be really missed a great deal.

   Well, there is at least a little bit of good news.  Rhode Island’s treasurer, Gina Raimondo, managed to convince the voters and the workers in the unions to pass real pension reform that may make a significant and very positive impact on America’s smallest state — small but evidently standing tall.

   However, let us not forget the words of Leroy Whitby as quoted in Human Events.  "Romney will have less money than Obama and a smaller and less effective political organization. Since organization and money are his main advantages, and in my opinion, his only advantages as a candidate, he is likely to be outspent and out-organized in November by Obama. Which means Romney will very likely lose."

   In my opinion, the only way that can be kept from happening is for all of us to get very deeply committed and totally involved in seeing to it that doesn’t happen.  That’s what this writer says and that is what I am hearing all around me as well.  Now let’s see how that translates into action.

   It’s time once again to do this month’s review of our safety, in America and in the world around us.  We might start with ConservativeByte.com which informs us that, "An appeals court ordered the state of Alabama ... to stop enforcing additional parts of its controversial new immigration law, pending review of a federal challenge to the measure that is considered the toughest in the nation."

   The court, "...issued a brief order expanding its initial injunction to include provisions that barred illegal immigrants from obtaining a driver’s license and barred courts from enforcing contracts that involved illegal immigrants."  So now known lawbreakers who have broken into this country and who have not faced their day in court with regard to their transgressions can get driver’s licenses and make legal contracts as if nothing ever happened?  So it would seem.

   In concert with all of this, Obama and his henchmen continue their efforts to make a total mockery of illegal immigration enforcement with massive cuts where our security is at stake.  An example, as reported by James R. Edwards Jr. in Human Events, "The data from US-VISIT helps immeasurably in identifying foreign terrorists, enmeshing criminal aliens and supporting enforcement through a range of other programs.  Obama’s approach [is to] deprive enforcement agencies of vital data sources for carrying out their missions."

   As also detailed, "Obama asks for zero funds for the REAL ID act.  This valuable law set uniform security standards for forms of identification such as driver’s licenses.  This administration has already delayed and delayed the deadline for the law’s standards to become effective.  REAL ID became law six years ago, so there’s no telling how many illegal aliens and terrorists might have acquired valid Ids in the meantime."

   Also, FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform) has managed to breach the informational ramparts of the federal government with the following discovery: "As Americans, we know the basics about how government is supposed to work.  The Legislative Branch writes the laws and the Executive Branch enforces those laws.  Yet our current Executive Branch, led by President Obama, is failing to uphold its responsibility to the American people — it is blatantly, and might I add audaciously, choosing not to enforce the laws that Congress has written."

   Now here’s the kicker:  "The Department of Homeland Security, the very people charged with protecting our borders, has quietly issued official intradepartmental memos ceasing the deportation of illegal aliens.  Operating from the shadows, they are creating a hushed back-door amnesty without the approval of the American people."

   This is very serious and stands as one more documented, lawless act from the forming dictatorship at the top.  As observed, it is one more nail in our coffin.

   And, as Dave Rice reports in the San Diego Reader, "California spends $938 million annually to incarcerate prisoners who entered the country illegally, receiving less than $66 million in federal funds to offset the cost.

   "An estimated 60% of gangs in Los Angeles County are illegal aliens.  Researchers report 420,000 illegal alien sexual predators with an average of four victims each."  And the stats go on and on like some sort of surreal nightmare.  And with police forces all over America facing budget cuts, we are finding that we are also facing a rise in killing everywhere.

   Even Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer was robbed by a machete-armed bandit.  No one can any longer be guaranteed safety in today’s America. And that includes you. Like it or not, that’s the way it is.

   In the international arena things are no better off. Intelligence officials are telling us that Al Qaeda is making a comeback in Iraq and an Associated Press release states that, "Two diplomats said the crews at the Parchin military site [in Iran] may be trying to erase evidence of tests of a small experimental neutron device used to set off a nuclear explosion."

   And while a former DuPont employee has pleaded guilty in an American federal court to taking trade secrets from DuPont and selling them to a Chinese firm that just happens to be government owned, the Liew case in California exposes a genuine Chinese spy ring.

   Additionally, our Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton A. Schwartz makes a very cogent observation, as reported in The Washington Times.  "Gen. Schwartz said, ‘Do you think that the Chinese have established one of the world’s best air defense environments in their eastern provinces just to invest their national treasure?’ "

   You can add, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, "Japan’s prime minister issued a new warning ... about Beijing’s military buildup, two days after his government made a fresh protest over a Chinese ship’s entering waters near a chin of islands claimed by both countries."

   So, what is our reaction to all of this?  Well, U.S. officials seem to be rethinking the guidelines that now block China’s access to certain technologies for military reasons.  And, while China’s defense budget has now topped $100 billion, America is cutting back its military.  We also have discovered, as reported by Front Porch Politics, "Barack Obama actually plans to unilaterally dismantle most of the U.S. strategic nuclear arsenal.  In fact, Barack Obama says the United States has a ‘moral obligation’ to disarm as we lead the way to ‘a world without nuclear weapons.’

   "Sadly, a ‘world without nuclear weapons’ is a fantasy that will not be possible any time soon.  Nuclear weapons technology is getting into more hands with each passing year, and geopolitical tensions are rising all over the globe.  If the United States did not have nuclear weapons, anyone with just a handful of nukes would constitute a massive threat to our national security."

   Further, "If an enemy knows that we only have a few hundred warheads, and if they know exactly where those warheads are located for verification purposes, then a first strike which would take out the vast majority of our operational warheads becomes very plausible."  It would seem that Obama has found the ultimate urban redevelopment plan. Of course you end up with somewhat of a nuclear wasteland, but who’s to fret about such picky little details?  Well, I think I am, for one.

   So, now you know one of the primary ways that a major nation can die.

   Now that we can see just how sick our human society can become, perhaps it is time to examine how we might fare with what is often referred to as Obamacare.  It has been moving relentlessly forward.

   Louise Radnofsky has been following its progress in The Wall Street Journal. "The Obama administration ... told states how to enroll millions more low-income Americans into Medicaid under the health-care overhaul, 10 days before the Supreme Court begins considering a challenge to the law."

   As she continues, with regard to the court, "The plaintiffs, who include attorneys general and governors from 26 states, contend the federal government is forcing them to take on expensive new responsibilities that they can’t afford."  But she also notes, "Tim Jost, a professor of health law at Washington and Lee University, said a federal court had never struck down a statute on the grounds that it was illegally coercive..."  One wonders how that is going to play out in, what we can only conclude, is a proceeding populated by very imperfect human beings.

   Meanwhile, we are hearing more and more horror stories of how many doctors are struggling to make ends meet.  It has become a difficult challenge for everyone.  In that same publication, Daniel P. Kessler wrote of how the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) is now supposed to make the whole thing more efficient and more affordable.

   Is that the way things are working out?  We’re discovering that isn’t how things have actually been set up and that’s not how things are going.  As Mr. Kessler pointed out, "...new research has shown that ACOs may raise costs for privately-insured individuals by increasing hospitals’ and physicians’ power to raise prices.

   Ron Johnson, in the same newspaper, tells us, "As a candidate, Barack Obama repeatedly claimed that his healthcare plan would lower annual family health-insurance premiums by $2,500 before the end of his first term as president.  But the Kaiser Family Foundation recently reported that the average family premium has increased $2,200 since the start of this administration."

   I personally have found that I lost the less expensive healthcare plan that so many of us had (and lost) with the Anthem Blue Cross Advantage plan and were forced to move to a more notably expensive coverage — all thanks to the new Obama health care.

   And Sally Pipes, President of the Pacific Research Institute, writes in Forbes magazine, of "The End of Private Health Insurance in America."  As she noted, "At a February conference in Las Vegas, Aetna president Mark Bertolini told a crowd of thousands that ‘the end of insurance companies, the way we’ve run the business in the past, is here.’ "

   Further, many examples of the expensive disintegration are given, which leads us to the inescapable conclusion: "Make no mistake — ObamaCare spells the end of private insurance as we know it.  And slowly but surely, patients previously covered by private insurance will find themselves funneled into government health programs."

   The rank and file public is deeply concerned as well. "Several hundred rain-soaked Tea Party activists rallied to call for the U.S. Supreme Court to repeal President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law after arguments." (As reported by The Chicago Tribune.)  The flag waving citizens braved the bad weather in Washington with a resolute determination.  We are told that millions more stand behind them, all over America.

   So, what is the current administration doing about our health problems?  Well, we hear that the White House said it was planning to stop the funding of a Texas women’s health care program when Obama discovered that the state had decided to exclude Planned Parenthood participation.

   It was also reported in The Washington Times that, "A Planned Parenthood affiliate in Texas knowingly sent in about $6 million in false claims to Medicaid and took steps to cover up its acts, says a federal ‘whistle-blower’ lawsuit that was unsealed March 9."  Of course everyone wants to know what is being done about this.  "A spokesman for the Justice Department in Washington said the agency had ‘no comment’ on the case."  Well of course not.  Would you have expected anything else?

   And, if that isn’t enough, Liberty Counsel reports that "The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has just announced that any and all FDA approved ‘contraceptive methods, sterilization procedures, and patient education and counseling for women with reproductive capacity,’ will be provided under ObamaCare ‘without cost’ in college/student-based health plans, and for women of college age but not attending school."

   And, remember how the "left" descended upon the Susan G. Komen charity when it was discovered contributed funds were no longer to be given to Planned Parenthood?  They felt they had to revert back to their contributions to the "abortion mill." Remember that?

   This did not sit well with many of Komen’s supporters.

   As Amy Dockser Marcus and Melanie Grayce West noted in The Wall Street Journal, "The breast-cancer charity Susan G Komen for the Cure continues to face fallout from its Planned Parenthood controversy, as some affiliates report declines in fund-raising and attendance at the group’s signature race and a series of high-level executives have departed."

   The left can be lethal.

   So now Obamacare heads for the Supreme Court, and as the indomitable Internet blogger, Joe Miller posts, "The net effect of this abomination of a bill will be to reduce the quality and availability of health care in the US while increasing the cost — everything they said it would not do."

   And from the desk of Steve Elliott, of Grassfire Nation, we read, "As it stands now, the Supreme Court’s ObamaCare decision will be legally illegitimate because one of its members is not qualified to participate in the decision.  I’m talking of course about Elena Kagan — Obama’s former Solicitor General who wholeheartedly supported the passage of ObamaCare and oversaw the development of the legal strategy to defend the law in court.

   As I am sure you realize, she has not followed that correct and legal step.  And I am sure you realize that Obama’s Eric Holder is not planning to see to it that she does.  To say that this is a major blow to American Constitutional law and order is putting it mildly.

   While all of this is going on, Representative Paul Ryan has come up with what is referred to as a credible Republican alternative to the healthcare leviathan that is rocking the nation’s financial stability and destroying our country’s health services.  It’s not perfect, but it is a reasonable beginning.

   And so that’s the way things are going with American healthcare this month.

   The Muddled-East remains as it has been for so long — an absolute mess.  And now we have those Afghan civilian shootings by an American soldier who clearly is suffering from an extremely dangerous mental breakdown.  It is now serving as an excuse for the further inflaming of tension by "special interests" that we know all too well.

   And on the Syrian front, we understand that it has been promised that, "If Syria is attacked by outside forces as it cracks down on its own people, Iran, Syria and the terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon will attack Israeli and American targets with missiles, sources withing all three reveal." (As reported by WND.)

   And Ron Prosor writes, in the WSJ, " ‘War is the unfolding of miscalculations.’  So noted historian Barbara Tuchman decades ago, yet this principle continues to fall on deaf ears in the international community."  And, as further noted, "Time and time again, Israel has warned the world that Gaza is a disaster waiting to happen.  Yet, over the past decade, the ratio of rocket attacks to words of condemnation from the United Nations Security Council is 12,000 to zero."  Yes, the UN ignores the over 12,000 rocket attacks into Israel from the Gaza territory, as also does the current American government and most others as well.

   And what does our government do about these many problems?  Well, with regard to the nuclear threat from Iran, we have learned (from a dangerous White House leak) that Israel is organizing a possible strike from the cooperating state of Azerbaijan.  What is the White House doing?

   And now we find Matt Bradley’s article in The Wall Street Journal that tells us that, "Islamist politicians are set to dominate a committee charged with drafting Egypt’s first post-revolutionary constitution, sparking a revolt by secular-minded panel members whose role in the country’s political future appears threatened."  Did you expect this administration’s support to be taken and skewed in any other direction?

   With all that is happening in the world and in America, most of our national media remains its usual irresponsible self. NBC airs the lewd female singer, M.I.A., during the Super Bowl, who gives the national audience "the middle finger" along with appropriate foul words to match, a gesture of what can only be described as just one more example of the obscene scene of today’s television fare in our once fair land.

   We now have nudity, depictions of sexual intercourse, foul language and deeds, and much more — all during our wonderful family hours of early evening television.  And we wonder why thing are going so badly with our youngsters?

   And how does our wonderful national television news cover events in our land?  Bill O’Reilly, the national commentator, examples the tragic death of Whitney Houston, in Newsmax magazine:  "It was ultra-disturbing that a beautiful woman blessed with an extraordinary singing voice chose a self-destructive path in full view of the world."  As Mr. O’Reilly pointed out, "The media had no clue how to cover the death in February of Whitney Houston.  That’s because she was slowly dying for years and many in the press simply averted their eyes."

   And in other areas, Chelsea Schilling, of WND, tells us, "The Russian news website Pravda has published an accusation that the American media is ‘tame,’ afraid to publish news and is ‘deliberately hiding the evidence published on the Internet about [President Obama’s] defrauding of the American public and the deliberate evisceration of the Constitution of the United States.’ "

   And in still other areas, The Washington Times reports that, "Bill Maher still lobs insults, though he’s now a leading figure in the controversy over Rush Limbaugh’s untoward comments about Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke, for which he apologized.  Twice.

   And what did President Obama contribute to all of this? With regard to Miss Fluke’s staged presentation, Charles Hurt observed (in The Washington Times) that, "Sensing grave injustice worthy of presidential attention, or simply channeling Bill Clinton, President Obama picked up the Oval Office silly phone and telephone this grand specimen of America’s future to offer her words of encouragement and tell her just how proud her parents must be of her."

   And of course more and more seems to be coming to light about whatever eligibility issue there may or may not be concerning this president.  Rev. Larry Wallenmeyer, through The Patriot Action Network asks, "Did threats silence media on the Obama probe?  Sources say warnings were to not report on Sheriff Joe’s results.  The lead investigator in Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s review of the authenticity of Barack Obama’s birth certificate unloaded a bombshell about the case.  He was told by sources, members of the media were threatened with federal investigations should they continue to report on the birth certificate issue."

   And, as reported by Joe Kovacs for WND, "The U.S. national media are intentionally ignoring the case of a Tennessee man convicted of making death threats against Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio because the man is described as an Obama ‘fanatic.’ "

   And we certainly can’t forget the indomitable New York Times, right?  OpposingViews.com reports, "The New Your Times published an advertisement carrying the headline ‘It’s Time To Quit The Catholic Church’ on March 9.  Placed by the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation, the ad was a scathing attack on the Catholic church and encouraged liberal and nominal Catholics to abandon their faith."  And then, "Four days after the FFRF ad appeared in The Times, two organizations — The American Freedom Defense initiative and Stop Islamization of America — sought to place an ad that mimicked the FFRF ad in almost every way."  And what was the result?  "The ad, though, has yet to see the light of day in The Times. Pamela Geller, a blogger and executive director of Stop Islamization of America, indicated The Times told her the situation in the Middle East is such that it would not be appropriate to run the ad at this time."

   And in other areas of concern, the question was asked by Clarke, Miller and Eddy in The Wall Street Journal, "Should a police department identify and engage those citizens most likely to be involved with terrorism?  Should police understand the historic and current ties of certain communities to militant groups that export violent extremism?"

   As further reported, "...since last summer, a series of Associated Press articles has accused the NYPD of ‘wholesale surveillance of places where Muslims eat, shop, work and pray’ — spying that ostensibly violates their civil rights.  Now U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has asked the Justice Department to review the NYPD program."

   In other words, it would seem that Tea Party organizations can be coerced and hounded by various government agencies, but quiet observation of Muslim behavior in America is somehow unacceptable?  Now you’ve got it.

   And, speaking of giving trouble to conservatives (this time in the media), David A. Patten, in Newsmax magazine, offers us the following: "The crusade by Media Matters — a tax-exempt, liberal group — to manipulate the press and silence conservatives might have been dismissed as just another political sideshow except for one extraordinary fact: There appears to have been White House involvement.  Exactly what the White House knew, and when it knew it, remains unknown.  But based on revelations by The Daily Caller website, it looks like the media watchdog organization founded by Democratic activist David Brock has been coordinating its operations at the highest levels of the Obama White House."

   Further it was reported that, "At least one media outlet has documented coordination between the White House and Media Matters — which, if it is true, is astonishing and more than disturbing."  And who might they be trying to silence? You might want to start with everyone from Bill O’Reilly to Sean Hannity and Fox News in general.  And you can go on from there, to who knows where?

   What’s really very interesting is the disturbing fact that the majority of Americans still don’t realize how the media is manipulated and, in turn, manipulates what everyone thinks is actually going on.  Does the word "dangerous" not come to mind?

   Something is happening in some places in Wisconsin that suggests that the contrived union unrest and the recall of Governor Walker is not sitting well with more folks than you might imagine.  The Sheboygan Press reported one of the rather spontaneous examples.

   "When about 300 Sheboygan Lutheran High School students and supporters piled into the rotunda of the State Capitol in Madison last Thursday after the boys basketball team clinched a trip to the finals for the Division 5 WIAA state championship, they had some time to spare.  Sharing the rotunda with a small group of pro-union demonstrators singing songs, the Lutheran High group broke into spontaneous cheers ‘Stand with Walker!’ "

   In other areas, "The Occupy movement is claiming New York City police busted their demonstration yesterday without probable cause while WND has discovered Occupy literature suggesting protesters should intentionally break Zuccotti Park’s rules."  This, reported by Aaron Klein (WND), shows the less than honorable way that the Occupiers choose to do their thing.

   Troy Anderson’s Reuters report gives us the news about a group of parents who became activists in an attempt to gain operational control of a failing public school under the "parent trigger" law in California that is intended to shake up and hopefully improve chronically bad schools.

   However, as reported, "...the board of the Adelanto School District in California’s Mojave Desert voted 5-0 ... to reject a petition invoking a 2010 state law that permits parents to effectively seize control of low-performing schools."  Many citizens in that school district are extremely angry about all of this.  The unprecedented school board move may end up creating more fall-out than they would like to deal with.  Now let’s see what happens.

   It was also noted that Michigan, Louisiana, New York and Florida are considering similar laws. In the case of Florida, it has already come up to its first legislative vote and was only narrowly defeated.

   It would seem that now a rather modest trade tariff has been implied on Chinese solar panels, as if that was going to be a big part of some sort of genuine solution.  And, although it is noted that the Chinese manufacturers had unfair government financial help (don’t our solar companies have the same thing?) and even though the labor costs in China gave these manufacturers additional unfair advantages, the most important solution may be in R&D (Research and Development).

   In other words, the way we currently attempt to extract usable energy from the sun’s rays with today’s photo-galvanic cells is still rather crude, rather primitive.  We have a way to go before that becomes a truly practical solution to our energy problems.  It is also something that we should be working a lot harder on than we are currently doing.

   But instead we are hearing such nonsense as, "A heavily subsidized solar company received a U.S. taxpayer loan guarantee to sell solar panels to itself.  First Solar is the company.  The subsidy came from the Export-Import bank, which President Obama and Harry Reid are currently fighting to extend and expand.  The underlying issue is how Obama’s insistence on green-energy subsides and export subsidies manifest itself as rank corporate warfare." (This from The Examiner.)

   Also we might wish to pay some attention to the Op-Ed piece that Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal had in the Wall Street Journal this month.  In part he noted that, "In 2011, the average annual price of a barrel of oil and a gallon of gas were higher than at any time in the last 150 years.  If we are going to be serious about rebuilding our economy and helping American families who are struggling to make ends meet, this president must take action."

   He wrote that we must increase the quantity of domestic energy sources and reduce the costs to the consumers.  He also noted that we must develop a long-term regulatory certainty that private capital demands before investment.  He further stated that, "While the president is quick to tell anyone who will listen that domestic oil production is higher today than at any time since 2003 ... today’s production levels are not based on anything this president has done, but on the decisions made by private companies before he took office."

   The president has also been quick to claim his administration had to curtail the permitting process because of the Gulf spill, however, as Gov. Jindal observed, "...the Obama administration slowed the permitting process long before the spill happened."  He should know.

   There was much more, as you might imagine, such as insisting that we reverse the decision of the curtailing of the Keystone XL pipeline.  But in the end it all comes down to the fact that Obama is the problem.  There seems to be no way to escape that fact.

   In other areas, we hear that major cutbacks in water for our farmers in California are creating lay-offs and severely hurting the state’s $40 billion dollar yearly crops, while a Chinese company is investing billions of dollars into oil development in America and is having no trouble whatsoever with our Washington authorities.

   There is at least one bright side to the environment/energy debacle.  As The Washington Times editorialized, "Federal agencies are out of control.  The grant of virtually unlimited power with no accountability has gone to the heads of some unelected bureaucrats, and nowhere is that more true than at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  Even the Supreme Court has had enough.  All nine justices agreed on March 21 that the agency finally has gone too far."

   What was that all about?  "In 2007, Mike and Chantell Sackett decided to build a three-bedroom dream home with a view of Idaho’s Priest Lake.  They purchased a plot of land near other homes and took care to meet each requirement for securing a building permit.  ‘We did everything right,’ Mr. Sackett explained."

   It should also be noted that I looked carefully at detailed photographs of the property in question and realized very quickly that it was high, somewhat rocky and bone dry.  But that didn’t seem to matter.

   "Their dream turned into a nightmare when a trio of EPA officials showed up out of the blue to insist that their two-thirds-of-an acre parcel of land, which has no standing water, was somehow a wetland.  It’s not on the EPA’s own list of wetlands, and experts hired by the Sacketts confirmed it doesn’t meet the definition.  EPA didn’t care."

   As the editorial concluded, "The Sacketts may have prevailed in their expensive five-year fight, but thousands more businesses and individuals have taken the safer road of compliance with irrational demands — at a tremendous cost to our economy."  This is what we’ve come to, America.  This is what we’ve come to.

   So, are we at least learning well in our schools?  Are we at least becoming reasonably educated?  As we have seen just about everywhere we look, that without a doubt is not happening.  Maybe it’s happening with a number of private schools, religious schools, certain magnet schools, charter schools and home schooling.  But with regard to our regular public schools, on every level and in almost every area, we have a failing grade.  There’s no other way to put it.

   As Jason Dean reports in The Wall Street Journal, "Flaws in U.S. schools are increasingly causing a national-security risk, producing adults without the math, science and language skills necessary to ensure American leadership in the 21st century, says a report issued by the Council on Foreign Relations."

   I’ve looked at the scores and the comparisons.  In every skill, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and even South Korea and little Finland are all way ahead of us.  Ah, but we are on a par with Iceland and Poland in reading skills.  Of course you should see where everybody else is.

   And our math skills seem to be just about where Ireland and Portugal are.  But even little Luxembourg is ahead of us.  And science?  We’re not so good there either.  Even Hungary is ahead of us.  Frankly, the top administrators on all levels have much to be deeply ashamed of.

   They should all stand in the corner, be made to clean the erasers after class (if they still have such things) and be given an extra assignment — to learn how to teach our kids and to teach them well, and without a political agenda.  (Now there’s a special assignment for you.)

   So, what and how have they been teaching?  Some of the schools (such as Harvard) seem to have learned that far too many Asian-American students have too high a grade average.  We can’t have that.  There are a lot of other minorities that are disadvantaged by that fact.  We have to compensate.  We have to make some exceptions for admissions of the others who might want to try a little higher learning and don’t really qualify.

   And we must politicize the classrooms.  It is important to see to it that the kids learn what we consider to be "politically correct kind of thinking."  And if we become aware of other viewpoints being suggested, we must stifle such ideas as quickly as possible and as much as we can.

   Don’t think that’s what’s going on?  Or maybe you don’t think it’s so bad?  You should have read Peter Berkowitz, a fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and a member of the National Association of Scholars board of directors.  He wrote in The Wall Street Journal this month that, "The politicization of higher education by activist professors and compliant university administrators deprives students of the opportunity to acquire knowledge and refine their minds.

   "It also erodes the nation’s civic cohesion and its ability to preserve the institutions that undergird democracy in America."  And where do such brazen statements come from? As Mr. Berkowitz continues, "So argues ‘A Crisis of Competence: The Corrupting Effect of Political Activism in the University of California,’ a new report by the California Association of Scholars, a division of the National Association of Scholars."

   And what have they found?  Among other things, "Numerous studies of both the UC system and of higher education nationwide demonstrate that students who graduate from college are increasingly ignorant of history and literature.

   "They are unfamiliar with the principles of American constitutional government.  And they are bereft of the skills necessary to comprehend serious books and effectively marshal evidence and argument in written work."  One might also ask, where might you ever find a mandatory class in ethics?  And one could go on and on with that sort of thing, couldn’t one?

   And what kind of materials are being used to educate the kids?  Among other things, Drew Zahn (WND) offers some very interesting insights into this realm.  "Who perpetrated the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 — a group of men merely fighting ‘for a cause,’ or a band of radical Muslims bent on violent jihad?

   "According to a new, comprehensive study of 6th-12th grade textbooks used by schools across the country, America’s children are being taught a very different answer to that question than many alive to witness 9/11 remember.  The non-profit organization ACT for American Education studied 38 textbooks from popular publishers like McGraw Hill and Houghton Mifflin, for example, to determine whether American schoolchildren are being taught the truth about Islam and its role in 9/11.

   "The report, titled ‘Education or Indoctrination?  The Treatment of Islam in 6th through 12th Grade American Textbooks,’ compares what it found in the textbooks with 275 historical sources, listing 375 footnoted citations, to conclude that America’s textbooks are laced with ‘historical revisionism.’ "  To growing numbers of us out here, that is no surprise at all.

   If you have one or more children in a public school, and you have ever had the opportunity to actually check the curriculum and the videos and books being used in the classroom, you might not be to surprised with what we are now hearing from growing numbers of parents — "I’m actually paying (with my taxes) for my child to learn this?"

   As the talk show host and Washington Times columnist, Dennis Prager has discovered, in most of our schools it seems that, "Christianity is largely a history of inquisitions, crusades, oppression and anti-intellectualism.  Islam, on the other hand, is ‘a religion of peace.’  Therefore, criticism of Christianity is enlightened, while criticism of Islam is Islamophobia.

   In addition, "Whites can be racist, non-whites cannot be (because whites have power, and the powerless cannot be racist).  The great world and societal battles are not between good and evil, but between rich and poor and the powerful and the powerless."

   And, "We live in a patriarchal society, which is injurious to women.  Women are victims of men.  Blacks are victims of whites.  Latinos are victims of Anglos.  Muslims are victims of non-Muslims.  Big corporations are bad.  Big unions are good."

   This has been thoroughly researched in every way possible. Educational material has been carefully examined.  Children have been extensively interviewed.  There is no doubt about this.  And there is also no doubt, for those of us who have had a genuine education, that much of that nonsense is incomplete to the extent that it ends up becoming totally misleading and the rest is just blatantly false right from the start.

   Oh, and how about, the human-bad-guy theme for global warming is the only acceptable answer.  And if you have an idea or a viewpoint that is different from what they are presenting, watch out.  You will soon be finding out just how illiberal the Ayatollahs of Academia really are.

   This is the cold, hard truth of American education today. This is it.

   As a nation in crisis, we also find that we are a country with our Constitution in crisis.  There are so many things going wrong — so much that should not be happening.  As a payoff to his union bosses’ support, the President made several "recess" appointments when the Senate was not actually legally in recess.  In doing so, our President has broken the law.

   There is the misleading fraud of that nonsense of "Separation of Church and State," which never was intended to mean the oppression and suppression of religion in public areas.  It was never "interpreted" as an exclusion until modern liberals decided to cram it down everybody’s throat in that way.  Think about it.  They say it is a Constitutional separation of Church and State.  It is not in the Constitution.  Check it out for yourself.  It just isn’t there.

   And then we have the Supreme Court deciding that government entities have the right to seize private property, only to turn it over to other private interests, because they feel they can get a more profitable tax base in that way. Property rights had always been important to our founding fathers and to the citizens for many years.  This was a major blow to our Constitution and to the freedom of our people.

   In fact, from the 4th Amendment of our Constitution there is, "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures..."  And from the 5th Amendment of our Constitution we are told we are not to be put badly upon by authority, "...nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation." (The emphasis placed therein is my spotlighting for your attention.)

   Property taken was always to be for public use, as with roads and schools and such.  Eminent Domain was never intended to be an instrument of plunder.

   You might also want to pay close attention to the words of one of the directors of Institute for Justice, Christina Walsh who wrote in The Washington Times this month, that under the new Supreme Court decision, "Local governments essentially can force homeowners and business owners to sell their land, often at cut-rate prices..."

   As she noted, "...starting with the wildly unsuccessful urban renewal efforts of the 1940s and 1950s, ‘public use’ has been stretched to mean anything that possibly could benefit the public, not limited to what the public might actually share in using — shopping malls, fancy housing developments and office towers that could pay those local governments in property taxes."

   As you might imagine, this has not gone over well with most Americans.  We have even fought wars to keep others from removing such freedom and security from our lives and property.  So, as Christina Walsh has noted, so far, "...44 states have enacted laws restricting the power of eminent domain to varying degrees, and more protections are being added."

   Even the House of Representatives in Washington has passed a bill (now headed for the Senate) that will pull any federal funding for two years if any state or local government uses eminent domain to seize private property for private economic development.  That will be great, if it can ever be supported by the Democrat controlled Senate and White House.  Don’t hold your breath waiting for that however.

   What remains most frightening is that we have nine black robes in the Supreme Court, most of whom are capable of doing this terrible thing in the first place.  It is something that I never would have thought would be possible.

   Another interesting reaction to all of this, is seen in Hillsdale Colleges’ public offer of a free, comprehensive on-line course that is all about our U.S. Constitution.  It’s something you might find worth checking into.  We all need to learn more about what we are allowing to be destroyed.

   Another thing that might be worth checking out: The need for a new Constitutional amendment — an amendment of clarification of original intent.  You have probably seen that front page of Time Magazine which showed our Constitution being shredded.  Today’s political revisionists have done a good job of that, haven’t they?

   Perhaps it is time for an amendment that will reinforce that very precious document.  Perhaps we need to remind everyone that if there would be any doubt about what was intended, they only need to see how it all originally functioned from day to day, in or past.

   Yes, it has been imperfect, because we are imperfect.  But it had done surprisingly well for some time.  How about we get back to that?  An interesting idea?

   And why are all these bad things happening?  There seems to be no single reason, but there are some good suggestions. As Stephen Dinan and Susan Crabtree report in The Washington Times, "Federal debt will double by the middle of the next decade and reach more than twice the size of the entire US economy by 2037 unless Congress changes course on taxes and spending, the Congressional Budget Office said in its latest analysis on June 4."

   In addition, Teresa Watanabe is quoted in The Los Angeles Times as writing,  "[Governor] Brown says the ‘deficit’ is $16 billion.  But he has left out a few items that we owe: $33 billion stolen from Trust Funds — like the Recycling Fund, and $14 billion we ‘borrowed’ from the Fed so we can continue to send out unemployment checks, and $10 billion we owe government schools from Prop. 98 money we have not paid.  And now we find out we owe the schools $2.5 billion for science classes the State mandated and never paid for."

   Is that all?  Of course not.  "[It] does not include the hundreds of billions of unfunded pension liabilities.  California is dead broke, yet Jerry wants to spend $200 billion on a train set."  So, is "Governor Moonbeam" willing to at least cut back a little somewhere?  Oh yes, "Under Gov. Jerry Brown’s revised budget proposal, a second year of science would no longer be required for high school graduation.  The aim is to save the state money."  Isn’t that wonderful?

   Since we are in so much financial trouble, of course we are doing all sorts of good things to make it all better, right?  Well, let’s see.  According to TeaPartyEconomist.com, "If a bank is designated as too big to fail (TBTF), it gets on the gravy train.  So concluded an editorial at Bloomberg.  It pays to be too big to fail.

   "The smart money then goes for high-risk, high-profit investments.  Why not?  They will be bailed out if they guess wrong.  It’s ‘heads, we win; tails, we win.’  Bloomberg estimated the dollar value of J. P. Morgan Chase’s subsidy at $14 billion a year.  For the 18 largest banks (out of 8,000), it is $76 billion a year." Wow!

   And of course you don’t want to look at poor folks like you and me.  We are definitely not too big to fail.  It reminds me of a message left on the garage door of a home being repossessed.  It reads, "Foreclosed! Three tours in Iraq but no bailout for people like me."  Something to think about.

   Naturally the fat cats and politicians always take care of themselves.  As Steven Malanga reports in The Wall Street Journal, "Scott Walker’s victory in Wisconsin should energize efforts around the country to reform one of the biggest perks protected by public-employee unions: retirement benefits, which are piling up to the tune of $3 trillion in unfunded promises to state and local workers.  But for reformers to tackle this issue, lawmakers have to overcome one crucial special interest: themselves."

   As further observed, "Powerful government unions drive up spending.  But so do legislators who would lose their outlandish retirement perks if serious reform passed."  You don’t find this inconvenient truth highlighted on the front page of newspapers or as lead stories on the network news, now do you?

   It takes full-page ads, as by The Alliance for American Manufacturing organization, to bring out such things as the fact that, "The Oakland Bay Bridge, an iconic American landmark in the San Francisco Bay, is being built with millions of dollars of Chinese-made steel.  We could have made it here.  We didn’t."

   And as further pointed out, "The US-China deficit grew from $84 billion in 2001, when China entered the WTO [World Trade Organization], to $295 billion in 2011.  This deficit has eliminated or displaced nearly 2.8 million US jobs since 2001, representing about 2 percent of total US employment.  Of the nearly 2.8 million jobs lost or displaced, 1.9 million were in manufacturing — nearly half of all US manufacturing jobs lost between 2001 and 2010."  And now, "China owns 9 percent of our public debt."

   All of this, while we just give away our business to them, with that bridge and with so many other things.  As the ad notes, "Can it get any crazier?"

   Frankly, I think it can.  As submitted to the Internet by Billy Fleming, "The Food Stamp Program, administered by the US Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever. Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the US Department of the Interior, asks us to ‘Please Do Not Feed the Animals.’  Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

   While all of this is going on, we may want to take a look at a very interesting disparity in wages that shows us how we reward incompetence.  It is our understanding that the salary of retired US presidents is $450,000 a year for life, and for retired House and Senate members it’s $174,000 a year for life.

   When you compare that with the average salary of a soldier who is deployed in Afghanistan, which is $38,000 a year and the average income for seniors from Social Security, which is $12,000 a year — when you make such comparisons, you can see how it pays to be dysfunctional on the highest levels.

   Now add to that the realization that the latest Obama jobs program is his new amnesty rules which free illegals to seriously compete with the rest of us for the few jobs available here in America.  And let us not forget that, "Farmers in Colorado are watching their fields dry up amid one of the worst droughts in the state’s history.  But just a few feet beneath them, the water is so plentiful it’s flooding basements and causing septic systems to overflow.  Yet the government will not permit farmers to pump the water to save their crops."    You will also find liberal intimidation pushing ever onward against the small business lobby for having dared to join with 26 states in a suit that challenged the ObamaCare laws and procedures which are starting to seriously cripple our nation. The smear campaign is in full swing against the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

   As detailed with an important observation in The Wall Street Journal, "Among the dozens of media outlets publishing anti-NFIB op-eds disguised as reporting, Reuters recently asked in a headline, ‘Who truly speaks for small businesses?’ "  It is obviously beleaguered small businesses throughout America and they know it.  But that’s not what they want you to think.

   As further observed, "The chairmen of the House Progressive Caucus, Democrats Raul Grijalva and Keith Ellison, chimed in with a letter accusing the NFIB of acting against ‘the best interest of small business owners’ and ‘the popular opinion of the American small business community.’ They suggest Karl Rove is behind the suit, as he is everything else."

   As further noted, "...if the NFIB is as unrepresentative as liberals claim, then why have its ranks grown by 5% since it became a plaintiff in the ObamaCare suit?  The charge is especially rich because NFIB regularly polls its full membership to inform [about] its Washington agenda, something few trade associations do."

   A liberal example is also given.  "For a look at what an interest group acting against the interests of its members actually looks like in practice, consult the AARP."  As further observed, "...60,000 seniors quitting AARP in the summer of 2009 alone amid its multimillion-dollar pro-ObamaCare TV campaign."

   Other insanities continue, as pointed out by Sanchez in Jon Christian Ryter’s Internet mail-bag.  "Will someone please tell me what’s wrong with all the people that run this country? — both Republicans and Democrats.  We’re broke and can’t help our own seniors, veterans, orphans, homeless, etc. yet, in the last years we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, and Japan — literally BILLIONS of dollars. Our retired seniors are living on fixed incomes that give them a choice between eating or keeping on the lights."

   Insanity seems a mild description of what has been happening.

   So, how is all of this effecting our crumbling economy? Roger O’Daniel posted some interesting observations on The Economic Collapse Blog.  He writes, "When Barack Obama entered the White House, the average price of a gallon of gasoline was $1.85.  Today, it is $3.59 [give or take a little here and there].  Today the poverty rate for children living in the United States is a whopping 22 percent.  According to US Representative Betty Sutton, an average of 23 manufacturing facilities permanently shut down in the United States every single day during 2010.  Back in 2007, about 10 percent of all unemployed Americans had been out of work for 52 weeks or longer.  Today, that number is above 30 percent."

   Had enough?  Oh no.  You need some more examples.  "The official US unemployment rate has been above 8 percent for 40 months in a row.  According to one survey, 42 percent of all American workers are currently living paycheck to paycheck.  At this point 48 percent of all Americans are either considered to be ‘low income’ or are living in poverty.  Last year, an astounding 53 percent of all US college graduates under the age of 25 were either unemployed or underemployed.  Today, 71 percent of all small business owners believe that the US economy is still in a recession."

   Want some more?  "Credit card debt among Americans in the 25 to 34 year old age bracket has risen by 81 percent since 1989.  The middle class continues to shrink. 95 percent of the jobs lost during the last recession were middle class jobs. Each year, the average American must work 107 days just to make enough money to pay local, state and federal taxes.  In some areas of Detroit, Michigan you can buy a three bedroom home for just $500.  20,000 workers recently applied for just 877 jobs at a Hyundai plant in Montgomery, Alabama."

   Think that’s all there is?  Guess again.  "The average American household spent a staggering $4,155 on gasoline during 2011.  The amount by which real median household income has declined since Barack Obama entered the White House is $4,300.  In 2011, our trade deficit with China was more than 49,000 times larger than it was back in 1985.  The United States has lost an average of approximately 50,000 manufacturing jobs a month since China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001.  The Obama administration spent $175,587 to find out if cocaine causes Japanese quail to engage in sexually risky behavior.  Over the next 75 years, Medicare is facing unfunded liabilities of more than 38 trillion dollars.  That comes to $328,404 for each and every household in the United States.  If the federal government began right at this moment to repay the US national debt at a rate of one dollar per second, it would take over 440,000 years to totally pay it off.  According to the Economic Policy Institute, America is losing half a million jobs to China every single year."

   Now have you had enough?  I don’t think so.  "According to the US Department of Agriculture, the number of farms in the United States has fallen from about 6.8 million in 1935 to only about 2 million today.  At this point, the US national debt is rising by more than 2 million dollars every single minute.  In 2010, 2.6 million more Americans fell into poverty.  That was the largest increase that we have seen since the US government began keeping statistics on this back in 1959. When Barack Obama first took office there were 2.7 million long-term unemployed Americans.  Today there are twice as many.  The US government has spent $20,000,000 to create a version of Sesame Street for children in Pakistan.  Today there are more than 88 million working age Americans that are not employed and that are not looking for employment. That is an all-time record high.  Our trade deficit with China in 2011 was $295.5 billion.  That was the largest trade deficit that one country has ever had with another country in all of human history."

   By now you should be practically comatose, but I’m still not going to let you off.  "During the first quarter of 2012, US public debt rose by 359.1 billion dollars.  US GDP only rose by 142.4 billion dollars.  During fiscal 2011, the US government spent over 454 billion dollars just on interest on the national debt.  The total amount of student loan debt in the United States recently surpassed the one trillion dollar mark.  China now holds approximately 1.17 trillion dollars of US government debt.  Yet the US government continues to send them millions of dollars in foreign aid every year.  The US national debt has risen by more than 5 trillion dollars since the day that Barack Obama first took office.  In a little more than 3 years Obama has added more to the national debt than the first 41 presidents combined.  The total amount of consumer debt in the United States is now approximately $11,440,000,000,000.  As of June 7, 2012, the national debt stood at $15,734,596,578,458."

   That’s all I’m going to give you of that.  It is a task that leads to infinity.  It was hard enough doing the spot check I did on some of the huge numbers of figures.  There’s just so many. And yes, I was able to verify a fair amount of that mountain of material.  I couldn’t check it all.  Maybe you’d like to take a shot at it?  If not, we can always go on to other things, like the bumper sticker I spied on a small delivery truck that read, "New company policy — We are not hiring until Obama is gone."  Or maybe you didn’t know that the city of Stockton, California may now have become the largest American city to go into bankruptcy.  And as you have come to realize, I could go on and on with this sort of thing.

   Just you remember, we had told you right here on this website, well in advance of all of this.  If it all ends up falling down around your ears, remember, you were warned.

   The question always come down to whether or not we manage to learn from all the scandals and misappropriations. Have we learned?  The real news about what is actually happening says we may not have learned much of anything at all.  As Jim McElhatton writes in The Washington Times, "A top administrator at the General Services Administration who worked on President Obama’s presidential transition team sought to keep secret the agency report that uncovered massive waste at a lavish taxpayer-funded GSA conference in Las Vegas, records show."  And, as if that isn’t enough, as Jim further reports, "More than a month after he was put on leave when a video surfaced showing him joking about the lavish spending — $823,000 — at a taxpayer-funded General Services Administration conference in Las Vegas, a top official at the agency has quietly returned to his job.

   "David Foley, deputy commissioner of the GSA’s Public Buildings Service, was one of the speakers at the convention who has come under sharp congressional scrutiny after an audit uncovered massive waste at the gathering, including a talent show, open bar and red-carpet party."  It was noted that, "He was placed on leave in April, the same month he apologized in an appearance before Congress for remarks he made in Las Vegas."

   In another area, Alexandra Berzon writes in The Wall Street Journal: "Six years ago, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid celebrated what he called a ‘love fest’ of government support for the construction of a proposed 150,000-home community in the Nevada desert and the lobbyist-turned-developer behind it: Harvey Whittemore. ... A federal grand jury has charged Mr. Whittemore with making illegal political contributions to Mr. Reid, a Democrat."

   Another example, detailed by CowboyByte.com shows us how an Obama mega-donor, Whitney Tilson, made huge profits by "shorting" an Obama-funded solar company.  "One of the ‘winners’ in Tilson’s portfolio was his short position in First Solar, a company on the brink of collapse despite receiving more than $3 billion in federal loan guarantees from the Obama administration."  And yet another solar-panel manufacturer goes under as well.  Abound Solar, Inc. is seeking bankruptcy protection, which is putting over $68 million in US-backed loans at risk of not being repaid.

   And this is one of the many welfare scams that are being described in detail all over the Internet.  It’s about a black woman in her late 20's who came to an emergency room to give birth from her 8th pregnancy.

   She told the doctors that her mama told her she is the breadwinner for the family.  She said she makes the babies, and the babies get money from the state for the family.  Here’s how they work it.  Her grandma calls the Department of Child & Family Services and tells them her daughter is not capable of caring for all of her kids.  The department agrees and informs her that the children will have to go into foster care.

   And then, guess what, the grandma volunteers to be the foster parent, and then receives a check from the government of $1,500 per child each month.  Their total yearly income from this is $144,000.  They even get more if there is no husband or father in the home.  And of course they get free healthcare and a monthly card entitling them to free groceries and even a voucher for 250 free cell-phone minutes each month.  And it goes on and on like that.

   What state does this happen in?  Well, in this particular example, it’s in the state of Illinois, but you can be sure this sort of thing is happening all over the nation.  This is what we’ve come to.

   So how does our corrupt government manage to raise all the needed funds for all this graft and fraud and other such nonsense?  It’s sort of a toss-up between printing more money with no supportive value behind it, which further devalues our dollar (which manifests itself as more inflation), and taxing everyone and everything in sight.  It reminds me of that interesting "Salt & Pepper" cartoon in The Wall Street Journal in which a Washington insider tells someone on the phone that "I’m not interested in the physics of parallel universes, professor; I just need to know if we can tax them." That pretty much describes their mind-set.

   However, as Darla Dawald, the National Director of the Patriot Action group, tells us, "In a 2009 ABC News interview with George Stephanopoulos, President Obama states numerous times that his healthcare law was not a tax."  They would rather you didn’t realize what they are doing.

   With regard to details concerned with the public disclosure of this latest and very massive tax (now being described as the most massive tax increase in American history), Jon Christian Ryter says it most directly: "Obama was right when he said ObamaCare wouldn’t cost people a dime. [Chief Justice] Roberts’ one word change cost the taxpayers one trillion dollars.  By rewriting just one word in the ObamaCare language — calling the ‘individual mandate fine’ a tax, Roberts did something no other Supreme Court Justice in the history of the United States has done — he wrote a completely new tax law that did not exist before the high court visited the individual mandate."

   As further observed, it "...created what in 1775 would have been called ‘An Intolerable Act.’  Such Intolerable Acts were the catalysts that started the American Revolution."  And it is our understanding that there are 7 other taxes hidden within the ObamaCare legislation that was made into law.  And you know who that is all coming down on top of, don’t you?  Let’s face it, we are forced to scrimp and save as best we can to live within our meager incomes so we can pay the growing, burdensome taxes to a government that can’t seem to live within its income.  Something is very wrong with that picture, don’t you think?

   Our unfortunate economy is also under attack yet again by Chris Dodd and Barney Frank.  They may not be running for re-election anymore (and for good reason) but they not only have already done a masterful job of looking the other way with regard to their unfulfilled oversight responsibilities which led to the bursting of the real estate bubble, they are responsible for what is called the Dodd-Frank law, which is doing what it can to finish the job.

   As noted in a Wall Street Journal "Review & Outlook" article, "Two years ago President Obama and Congressional Democrats told Americans they had strengthened the banking system and revoked too-big-to-fail privileges from the financial giants.  Now Moody’s can help Americans understand that the 2010 Dodd-Frank law has fulfilled neither promise.  The law’s signature achievements are higher costs, reduced opportunities and weaker banks.

   In an additional revelation, by two very serious experts who are a part of important legal actions, C. Boyden Gray and Jim R. Purcell (in the Journal), had this to say, "...we filed a lawsuit asking a federal court to declare that two parts of Dodd-Frank violate a bedrock rule of law: the Constitution’s separation of powers, which the Founders designed specifically to limit the growth of government.

   "Dodd-Frank created both the Financial Stability Oversight Council and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, giving each agency effectively unlimited power."  And as they further noted, "Ordinarily, when regulators wield broad power, their discretion is still limited by checks and balances.  The Constitution empowers the president and Congress, as well as our courts, to prevent regulators from running amok with excessive, arbitrary or even partisan regulations.  But Dodd-Frank does not honor checks and balances.  It eliminates them."

   Senator Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank will go down in history as two of the more destructive legislators ever to damage our nation.  They should be deeply ashamed at what they have done.  But of course that will never happen.

   So what else do we end up with?  How about when Obama said that, "The private sector is doing fine."  Yes, he later back-peddled on that one (as he often does after the fact) but it’s too late.  It’s what he said and he meant it.

   It might also be added that the Bureau of Labor Statistics stats show us very clearly that under George W. Bush the average unemployment was 5.26% and it has been figured as being around 8% now and even up to 9.27% at its worst.  And if you count those who have stopped looking for work and have given up and others who were left out of the skewed statistics, you have a current figure of about 16%.

   CowboyByte has joined so many others who are pointing out that, "The federal government is not making much headway reducing poverty despite spending hundreds of billions of dollars, according to a study by the libertarian Cato Institute.  Despite an unprecedented increase in federal anti-poverty spending, the national poverty rate has not declined, the study finds.

   This is the sort of thing that has been happening in our world, not in the alternative Universe that Obama seems to have come from.

   Nonetheless, no matter what Obama tries to say, as reported by Victoria McGrane in the WSJ, "Some of the biggest banks are being asked to submit by July 1 road maps for how they can be quickly and cleanly liquidated, but a top regulator said he doesn’t back using the so-called living-will process to break them up."  Oh sure, and that’s why the banks have been asked to submit documents for the end-days, right?

   So now you know.

   The massive cover-up of the violent, racial hate crimes that are plaguing our cities continues unabated in so much of our completely dishonest national news media.  It is also coupled with an almost total disregard of law and order from Eric Holder and his Attorney General’s office.  And there are so many continuing examples of how serious the problem has become.

   As Gary DeMar reports in Godfather Politics, "A 27-year-old woman with a four-year-old daughter was stabbed to death. She was delivering pizza to help earn money to take care of her daughter. Cadedra Cook, 18, and an unnamed 15-year-old male are charged with stabbing Elizabeth Hutchenson, 27, fifty times.  Cook and the unnamed 15-year-old male are black, Hutchenson is white."

   And there is the 24-year-old Joe’s Crab Shack white waitress, Jacqueline Gardner who was murdered by three blacks.  And there is that white mother and her 10-year-old daughter who were beaten with a hammer, raped and murdered by a black man.  And the examples can go on and on.

   And some of the many horrible crimes are also black against black.  As Gary reports, "Gunfire erupted in a church parking lot as a funeral wrapped up June 7, 2012 in an Atlanta suburb, leaving two people dead and another two wounded.  The shooters and the victims are black."  And "Two former Auburn football players were shot and killed at a party in Alabama. They are black, and so was the shooter."

   Colin Flaherty (WND) tells us that, "According to a statement in the Chicago Tribune, reporting on the race of individuals involved in news events, such as mobs attacking, robbing and vandalizing, is irrelevant.  A news anchor at the ABC affiliate in Chicago goes even further: Anyone who reads or writes about the epidemic of racial violence in Chicago is an ‘idiot’ who engages in ‘meaningless ... race baiting.’ says Ravi Baichwal.

   "City officials and the media might be the only two places left where people still deny Chicago is under assault from more than 50 episodes of black mobs attacking, beating, robbing and vandalizing over the last three years in and around downtown.  Many of them are on display at YouTube." The endless media denial only serves to support and encourage further violence.  Chicago shows us just how bad that can get.

   The black mayor of Philadelphia, Michael Nutter, has finally had to face the uncomfortable truth.  As reported by WND’s Colin Flaherty, "Finally Nutter changed: The rioters were black and ‘they were hurting their own race,’ Nutter told a crowd at his neighborhood Baptist church."

   At Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on St. Patrick’s Day this year, "...a group of black people beat and stripped and mocked a drunken tourist.  Videos they posted went viral.  Police officials said the incident was small and limited.  The Baltimore Sun would later release a study showing the violence was far greater and more widespread than city officials reported."

   The WND report continues, "As to the race of the criminals in this and other incidents?  That’s not something that the reporters of The Baltimore Sun wonder about.  But state legislator Pat McDonough did. In the spring of 2012, McDonough and his wife saw it for themselves while visiting the Inner Harbor for a charity dinner: Hundreds of people marauding through the streets, fighting, wreaking havoc. With not a cop in sight, the McDonoughs noticed the rioters were black."

   So, then what happened?  "A few weeks later McDonough issued a press release, calling for the mayor and governor to declare a ‘No-Travel’ zone in the area because it was not safe. The headline on his press release read: ‘Black Youth Mobs Terrorize Baltimore on Holidays.’ — which is what the black columnist for the Inquirer said just a month before.  No matter, the governor, mayor, elected officials and the media lined up to blast McDonough."

   With all the name-calling it was noticed that the facts in the press release were never questioned.  It was also noticed that the problem continues.  The next example was "Two groups of high school students left their bus in the Inner Harbor and beat a white person.  The 19-year-old victim was white and the attackers were all juvenile black males."  And on and on it goes.

   Colin Flaherty also reported, for WND, that, "Black mob violence has taken on a new note in Portland, Oregon.  It’s not the unsuspecting passerby or the corner convenience store that’s the target here.  It’s Nordstrom.

   With all of this happening — and we have given you just a small taste of it here — Eric Holder and his Justice Department have been totally missing in action.  That may be the biggest crime of all.

   Vision To America sums up the Fast & Furious debacle quite well.  "Eric Holder, President Barack Obama, and Congress all have admitted Operation Fast and Furious happened.  There are internal emails that talk about it.  The scandal right now is that Eric Holder won’t release internal documents related to Operation Fast and Furious.  Now you have Soledad O’Brien [Fortune magazine] questioning if it even happened at all.  No wonder their ratings are so low."

   The left is also trying to convince us that Fast and Furious is no different than Operation Wide Receiver, which operated under Bush.  Well, there’s a world of difference, as Tim Brown explains in the Freedom Outpost.  "Operation Wide Receiver began in 2005 and it involved 400 guns.  Every weapon had RFID trackers installed on them and they were continually tracked.  The Phoenix ATF and the DOJ were the ones actively involved in the operation, tracking the guns to see which cartels they would end up at for the purpose of informing the Mexican government as to where they were.

   "Unlike the Obama administration, the Bush administration notified the Mexican government when the weapons crossed their border.  We know that at least 1,440 arrests were made because of Wide Receiver."  It was further noted that, "Operation Wide Receiver has been shut down now for several years.  It is not ongoing as the White House would have people believe.

   "In addition to the negligence of trackers on the weapons walked across the border into Mexico, there was virtually no surveillance.  There were no helicopters, planes or anything." And, as if that isn’t enough, "Unlike operation Wide Receiver, the Mexican government was not even made aware that the program even existed."  And of course we know of the deaths that occurred as a result, in Mexico and in America.

   So the administration’s cover-up just doesn’t hold up.  And further, as reported by Jordy Yager on The Hill, "During his probe of Fast and Furious as chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Congressman Darrell Issa has focused on a series of six wiretap applications that federal officials implemented in an attempt to dismantle gun-trafficking rings in the Southwest.

   " ‘The enclosed wiretap affidavit contains clear information that agents were willfully allowing known straw buyers to acquire firearms for drug cartels and failing to interdict them — in some cases even allowing them to walk to Mexico,’ stated a letter Issa sent to his panel’s ranking member Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), which was put into the record."

   This wiretap information had to be gotten by surreptitious means because the Attorney General Eric Holder would not divulge the information, along with all the other information he continues to withhold.  But Fast and Furious isn’t the only questionable thing he’s holding back on.  As Joe Miller discloses, "Attorney General Eric Holder has refused to provide written testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee in response to ‘questions for the record’ submitted to him by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R.-Alabama) that focuses on Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan’s involvement in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act — AKA ‘ObamaCare’ — while she was President Barack Obama’s solicitor general."

   So, what has been done about all this law and disorder?  As reported by Fox News, "President Obama has granted an 11th-hour request by Eric Holder to exert executive privilege over Fast and Furious documents, a last-minute maneuver that appears unlikely to head off a contempt vote against the attorney general by Republicans in the House."

   And, as you know, that’s what happened.  Another interesting observation from GodFatherPolitics.com: "While Executive Privilege is not mentioned in the Constitution, the Supreme Court has ruled that the principle is there in the Separation of Powers doctrine.  The problem for President Obama is that Eric Holder has repeatedly said that Fast and Furious didn’t have anything to do with the White House.  If that is true, then how can the President claim Executive Privilege?"

   The next step is equally scandalous.  The Justice Department itself, under Eric Holder, decides whether or not to prosecute Holder under the Contempt ruling.  How convenient.  Then the Associated Press reported that, "The Justice Department declared that Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to withhold information about the bungled gun-tracking operation from Congress does not constitute a crime and he won’t be prosecuted for Contempt of Congress." Gee, what a surprise.

   If it all wasn’t such a tragedy, it would almost be humorous.

   As we all have observed many times, to get a license to drive a car, to board an airliner, to go to the hospital, usually when applying for a job, when registering for your first prescription at a pharmacy, to do business at a bank, to register for higher education in most states, when applying for credit, for getting utilities set-up, for purchasing a vehicle or a boat, for getting set-up with Medicare, to vote in a union, to buy a firearm, often when cashing a check, when getting most insurance, when purchasing most tickets, when applying for a library card, when you buy a home, when you look young and you want to buy cigarettes or liquor, if you want to adopt a child, and with thousands of other examples — you need to present a proper ID. But for some reason Eric Holder doesn’t think anyone should ever need any sort of valid ID to do something as important as voting?

   Oh, and evidently Holder is completely unaware of the fact that federal courthouses require visitors to show government-issued photo IDs.  When asked if he knew about that, before a House Judiciary Committee meeting, Holder’s answer was simply, "I don’t know."  But one thing Holder does know, he has made it very clear that he will vigorously use the Voting Rights Act and any other vehicle he can get his hands on against any states to enforce his concept of no identification before voting.

   And, as Katie Povlich writes for TownHall.com, "A simple way to help prevent voter fraud and election abuses is for states to purge voter rolls.  What does this mean?  Getting rid of names on voter rolls of people ineligible to vote such as illegal aliens, dead people, duplicates, etc.

   States have made it very clear that they will not discriminate against minorities or any other group on this issue.  They will make the acquisition of valid IDs easy and at no cost to everyone.  But Eric Holder doesn’t care.  No identification must ever be required to vote and that’s it.

   Why, you say?  What could possibly be wrong with presenting a valid identification for something as important as voting?  Who does it hurt?  I’ll tell you who it hurts. It hurts the crooks who would perpetrate voting frauds to stuff the ballot boxes with bogus votes for their favorite candidates. Those are the only ones who can possibly benefit, and Holder knows damn well that’s what it’s all about.

   Frankly, there should not be any doubt whatsoever as to what’s really going on here.

   Eric Holder is actually deeply involved in many other questionable operations as well.  One of them, as pointed out by Jerome R. Corsi for WND: "With great fanfare, President Obama signed Executive Order 13519 on Nov. 17, 2009, establishing a Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force to be led by Attorney General Eric Holder with the aim of prosecuting fraud and recovering assets in the economic debacle that began one year earlier.

   So, is anyone going to do anything about that?  Of course not.

   And, as Mr. Corsi further reports, "At a time when millions of Americans are losing their homes as a result of questionable or fraudulent mortgage banking practices, Attorney General Eric Holder’s Justice Department is being accused of blocking prosecution of a high-visibility real estate deal.

   "Holder ... allegedly aims to protect a high-profile international bank client of his former law firm and shield Democratic Party operatives implicated in the scheme."  We’re talking about Ron Burkle and international bank Credit Suisse. As further revealed, "Allegedly, Holder and [Assistant Attorney General] Lanny Breuer want to shield from federal criminal prosecution the bank, Credit Suisse Group AG, a client of the Washington-based law firm Covington & Burling, as well as key Democratic Party operatives suspected of playing a role in allegedly fraudulent mortgage financing and bank lending practices.  Before joining the Department of Justice in the Obama administration, Holder and Breuer were partners at Covington & Burling."

   Now that should really open things up to the possibility of some serious prosecutions at the highest level of the Justice Department, right?  Nope.  That’s not going to happen.  That might happen in what we used to know as The United States of America, but this is the newest third-world nation where there is no such law and order.  That’s the real story.

   Of course some efforts are tried from time to time.  As Jerry Seper writes in The Washington Times, "The National Border Patrol Council, which represents all 17,000 of the agency’s non-supervisory agents, on June 18 called for the resignation of Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. for his role in the botched ‘Fast and Furious’ gunrunning operation that resulted in the death of a US Border Patrol agent."

   And as reported in the Patriot Update, "In the the Senate committee hearing [June 12, 2012] in which Attorney General Eric Holder was asked to testify over his Department of Justice’s investigations into the botched Fast and Furious gun walking scandal and recent intelligence leaks from the Obama administration, Sen. John Cornyn called on Holder to resign.

   Well, all that fuss is just fine, but it won’t mean a thing until we return to a nation of law and order.

   When I watch the political ads and the news clips I hear that Obama is once again promising that, if he gets a second term, he will do all those many things he promised to do in his first term and somehow didn’t manage to do.  As I’ve said before, it’s just another case of "deja-moo."  In other words, I’ve heard that bull before.

   As Mona Charen lays it out in The Washington Times, "Jay Carney brazenly asserted that President Obama’s spending binge never happened."  That was too much even for some of the left-handed press.  "The Associated Press issued a full-dress debunking, as did the Washington Post."

   Still, "Rex Nutting, of Marketwatch, employed the usual Washington legerdemain of counting reductions in the rate of increases as cuts."  But, "As the Washington Post, AP and most un-blinkered analysts agree, the Obama administration increased federal spending by 9.7 percent in 2009 and 7.8 percent in 2010.  The rate of spending growth only began to slow significantly with the election of a Republican House in 2010."  Mona points to a bumper sticker that sums it all up quite well.  "If you want a paycheck, vote Romney.  If you want an unemployment check, vote Obama."

   Guy Benson, the political editor of TownHall, has added additional evidence of the Democrat fiction machine in full-swing.  Remember how Obama and his bunch cast aspersions upon Romney’s involvement with Bain Capital?  Guy tells us that, "In a previous life, The Fact Checker covered renowned corporate raiders such as Carl Icahn and his ilk.  We have closely studied Bain Capital and can find no examples that come close to this situation; its deal were done in close association with management. Indeed, Bain generally held onto its investments for four or five years, in contrast to the bust-em-ups of real corporate raiders.  So calling Romney a ‘corporate raider’ is a real stretch.

   "So, how does the Obama campaign justify this phrase?  It cites a single Reuters story from last August, about a campaign stop in New Hampshire, written by a stringer, Jason McLure, who was previously based in Africa. Buried in the article is a reference to Romney as a ‘former corporate raider.’ "

   It becomes more and more obvious with every passing day that the Obama’s left-flank attackers cannot find anything important to pin on Romney that is real, so they have resorted to invention. In other words, they just pain lie.  That seems to be the dominant character of what we have to deal with in this presidential election.  How sad.

   Yes, some businesses could not be revived, even with Romney’s best efforts.  But most could be and were, such as "Staples" which has become a monumental success.  And what about when he saved the Olympic games in Salt Lake City?  But of course Obama and his henchmen don’t want to talk about things like that.  And they most certainly don’t want to talk about the Obama administration’s actual record over the last three or four years.  No, we can’t have any of that.

   Noel Sheppard (Newsbusters) points to a particularly nasty trend in the left-handed media.  As he puts it, "MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell mocked Ann Romney for riding horses to combat her multiple sclerosis.  Hours earlier, NBC’s Today show, in a segment about the recent MS diagnosis of rock star Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack, addressed the benefits of horseback riding for reducing the symptoms of the disease."

   Evidently it’s alright for some but not for the wife of a candidate running against the left’s imperial president.  So it would seem.

   And then we also hear from the likes of Debbie Wasserman Schultz who is the Democratic National Committee Chair-person.  As the Patriot Action team reported, "...she called conservative Tea Party supporters ‘racists.’  And, as expected, the mainstream media didn’t bat an eye."

   One bumper sticker puts it in a more honest presentation. "It’s not racism, stupid.  We don’t like his white half either."

   In other areas of concern, we see, as pointed out by ConservativeByte.com, that "Within hours of the Supreme Court’s decision on the Arizona immigration law — leaving in place a core section of the law that allows local law enforcement to continue checking the immigration status of anyone suspected of being illegal — the Obama administration has just said it will no longer enforce the law."

   It is not only amazing that something like this could actually happen in America, what is far more amazing is the majority of our media and most of the public just seem to be accepting this new dictatorship.  What has happened to us?  Is America really gone to that extent already?  It would seem so.

   After all, illegal behavior is acceptable now here in our nation, just so long as it’s lawlessness on the left.  An excellent example of this is that June 25, 2012 Time magazine cover that shows a collection of what they choose to call "undocumented immigrants" who are saying "We are Americans."  Yes, they are out in the open now.  And why not?  Who’s going to do anything about it?

   Meanwhile, the federal Department of Injustice is also going ahead full-throttle in it’s efforts to see to it that no state is allowed to maintain an honest voting operation.  Vision to America has been willing to be one of the few to actually publish one of the best examples of the new lawlessness in America.

   "During the first stop of the American For Prosperity (AFP) Real Facts, Real Solutions bus tour in Virginia, a small group of protestors — organized by the Democratic Party of Virginia. ... When asked to comment, they said nothing, then they stated clearly that a certain amount of voter fraud is acceptable."

   Well, of course it is, for them.

   For many of us who see the general havoc and destruction that seems to be so much a part of the structure and general results surrounding liberal/progressive ideology — for those of us who see such things, we cannot help but wonder what could possibly be going on inside the heads of such people. They certainly are a puzzle.

   We see that many of them seem to want to ban guns, except for the weapons carried by the bodyguards that may be protecting their kids and possibly them as well, if they are well known liberals and can afford such protection.  Such well known liberals may often be also found to be against school vouchers for public school students, but are often inclined to send their own kids to private schools.

   They are very strong in support for alternative energy, but as with the Kennedy clan, they don’t want windmills to spoil your view around their own home.  They are also usually found to be in favor of abortion, but are often very much against the killing of terrorists and other killers that are found to be guilty in a court of law.  They usually are interested in severely restricting and often outlawing cigarettes, but they are frequently found to be in favor of legalizing marijuana, which has far more cancer causing carcinogens.  They can be found jetting all over the place, giving speeches about the evils of the fuels the jets use to create their idea of global warming.

   Some are convinced that marriage is obsolete and unimportant, except for homosexuals.  Many seem to feel that a nativity scene should be banned from public view, but feel that if you object to publicly portrayed pornography, you should just look the other way.  And finally, they almost always value tolerance and acceptance for their own views but almost never for view they are not in favor of, which they seem to feel must be squelched at every opportunity.

   If you really take a good look at the way they are and the positions and actions they come up with to give you the impression about what they are thinking, you can easily see how unbelievably illogical they really are.  The history of what is happening in our nation at this time shows it to you so very clearly.

   But it isn’t a problem that is peculiar to just this time.  I am looking at a political cartoon from The Chicago Tribune.  It’s of a rather scruffy looking character who is in the process of putting together a plan of action for the US.  He says "It worked in Russia."  And what does the cartoonist show us about that plan?  It reads, "Spend! Spend! Spend under the guise of recovery — bust the government — blame the capitalists for the failure — junk the Constitution and declare a dictatorship."

   Sounds like a formula for our time, in certain circles, doesn’t it?  Well, guess what, that cartoon was published way back in 1934.  (That’s when a more conservative understanding of things actually meant something to the folks at the Tribune.)

   I am also impressed with a more contemporary cartoon that features a liberal dilettante telling someone, "That was a very well laid out, rational point.  But I will still hold to my emotional opinion based on no facts or evidence."  That also reminds me of what some liberals have told me, after I have devastated one or more of their arguments, "I don’t care if what you say is the truth.  I don’t want to hear any more about it."

   Ridiculous you say?  Well, how about what Joe Biden said at a Chicago Democrat fund-raiser this last April.  "I never had an interest in being a mayor ‘cause that’s a real job.  You have to produce.  That’s why I was able to be a senator for 36 years."  That’s right.  He really said that.

   You might also wonder why so many movie stars support Obama and almost anything else that is as liberal-left as possible.  Think about it.  The work of movie stars is in a world of make-believe.  And, as you can often see, many of them continue a rather dysfunctional fantasy existence in their private lives as well.  The liberal persuasion is a natural for them.

   So now you have had a nice session with the unreal/feel-good mind-set that has been giving us so much pain and suffering.  Now you know a little bit about the anatomy of a particular mental "difficulty" of disconnection from reality — the one that we know of as the liberal/progressive persuasion. Now you know.

   Well, there are some within those ranks that have begun to wake up just a bit, in spite of the ringing endorsements from the likes of the American Communist Party and Fidel Castro. As detailed by Tad Cronn for The Patriotic Action Network, "One of the most recent is Democrat political consultant James Carville, who told the Good Morning America audience that he’s "worried" how Obama’s economic message is effecting his campaign.

   " ‘I’m worried that when the White House ... talks about the progress that’s being made, people take that as a signal that they think that things are fine, and people don’t feel they ought to believe that,’ Carville said."  And, "Carville recently wrote a report ... which said essentially that voters no longer have stardust in their eyes and Obama’s vision of Wonderland just isn’t as convincing as it once was. ... ‘These voters are not convinced that we are headed in the right direction.  They are living in a new economy — and there is no conceivable recovery in the year ahead that will change the view of the new state of the country,’ he noted."

   The Daily Mail in Great Britain has headlined this observation, "Obama’s Harvard law professor says ‘President must be defeated in 2012' (even though he’s the man Barack used to have on speed dial)."  Yes, that professor is real.  His name is Roberto Unger.  Check it out for yourself.

   Giacomo tells us of some others who are leaving the fold, as reported in Godfather Politics.  "The first to abandon ship is Jo Ann Nardelli from Pennsylvania.  Nardelli is the president and founder of the Blair County Federation of Democratic Women as well as serving as a state Democratic committee woman.  In a press conference Nardelli announced that she was leaving the Democratic Party and joining the GOP because of her Catholic faith and the Party’s endorsement of same-sex marriage."

   And, "The second to abandon the Obama ship is Artur Davis.  Davis is a former US Representative from Alabama who helped get Obama on the 2008 ballot by being the first congressman to endorse Obama back in 2007. ... Davis announced that he was also leaving the Democratic Party and joining the ranks of the GOP.  Davis states that the reason for his departure is that he is not as far left as the Party platform and that they are intolerant of anyone not conforming to the Party standards."

   Oh yes, there are more, but that’s enough to wet your whistle for now.  And please do remember, this sort of thing does not mean that Obama and his henchmen in the Senate are defeated.  Almost half of working-age Americans are on the public dole, one way or another.  And still most of the minorities out there are sufficiently brainwashed to vote blindly as the Democrats direct them to vote.  And they are also doing all they can to keep any form of reasonable identification from being applied at the polling places in America.

   It’s a hard road ahead, believe me — very hard.  It could go either way.

   Obama seems to just get himself into it deeper and deeper, doesn’t he?  Now, as Dave Boyer reports in The Washington Times, "President Obama could be on shaky legal ground with his assertion of executive privilege in a congressional investigation that has been going on for a year, according to scholars who study the limits of presidential power.

   "Louis Fisher, a former specialist on the separation of powers at the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service, said he found the administration’s arguments ‘extremely unpersuasive.’ "  As Mr. Fisher indicated, "The constitutional right of Congress to pursue oversight is as legitimate as its legislative function.  Oversight is also essential in investigating corruption and illegal activity in the executive branch."

   Maureen Martin, a senior fellow for legal affairs at the Heartland Institute also adds, "The Supreme Court has held that executive privilege is an extraordinary assertion of power not to be lightly invoked.  It is intended to safeguard deliberations in the executive branch over what course of action to take."

   As Mr. Boyer continues, "...the use of that privilege is one that Mr. Obama tried to exploit as a candidate for president. As a senator in 2007, Barack Obama accused Mr. Bush of trying to hide behind executive privilege in the case of the fired US attorneys.  ‘There’s been a tendency, on the part of this administration, to try to hide behind executive privilege every time there’s something a little shaky that’s taking place,’ Mr. Obama told CNN’s Larry King.  ‘I think the administration would be best served by coming clean on this. There doesn’t seem to be any national security issues involved.’ "

   And House Speaker John A. Boehner pointed out, "The White House decision to invoke executive privilege implies that White House officials were either involved in the Fast and Furious operation or the cover-up that followed.’ "  What else could it be?  You tell me.

   And, the problems keep multiplying.  There are now those infamous and very serious leaks from the White House (or by someone very close to the White House) that represent a major security breach.  Everyone is asking embarrassing questions such as "Who benefits from all of these leaks?" Since the information tends to make the president look good, at this critical time of his reelection campaign, that would strongly suggest the motivation for the illegal breach.

   As Frank J. Gaffney Jr. (Pres. of the Center for Security Policy) tells us in The Washington Times, "Suddenly, congressional leaders of both parties are demanding investigations into serial disclosures of national security secretes on President Obama’s watch.  The truth of the matter is that we already know what we need to about those leaks. The question is: Will anybody do anything about them?"

   As you might imagine, the leaks were prominently featured on the front pages of The New York Times.  "We also know that in every case, the leakers’ handiwork portrayed Mr. Obama as a highly effective, decisive, muscular and hands-on commander in chief.  Sadly, the president’s overall record shows him to have been anything but, hence the need to pump up his street cred as a part of the re-election campaign."

   So, what has happened?  Well, the White House has clearly stated that there is no need for any sort of special counsel on the leaks.  Well, of course.  Don’t expect anything to be done about this.  You are no longer living in what used to be The United States of America.  This is now a place where law and order has broken down.  That’s what more and more folks are beginning to realize.

   And what is Obama doing now?  He’s doing one hell of a lot of things that should keep you up all night with worry.  Among them there is that campaign to ratify the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), as explained by Michelle Malkin in The Washington Times.  "The fight over LOST goes back three decades, when it was first rejected by President Ronald Reagan.  He warned that ‘no national interest of the United States could justify handing sovereign control of two-thirds of the Earth’s surface over to the Third World.’

   "According to top Reagan officials, William Clark and Ed Meese, their boss believed the ‘central and abiding defect’ was ‘its effort to promote global government at the expense of sovereign nation states — and most especially the United States.’ "  Further, "Crucial national security decisions about our naval and drilling operations would be subject to the vote of 162 other signatories, including Cuba, China and Russia.

   "While our sovereignty would be redistributed around the world, most of the funding for the massive LOST regulatory body would come from — you guessed it — the United States."  That man in the White House wants to sign that treaty.  He really does.

   And as further reported, "The confiscatory act of environmental justice would siphon billions, if not trillions, away from Americans.  International royalties would be imposed; an international tribunal would be set up to mediate disputes.  There would be no opportunity for court appeals in the US."

   As Donald Rumsfeld put it in The Wall Street Journal, it is, "...a sweeping power grab that could prove to be the largest mechanism for the world-wide redistribution of wealth in human history."  And, "Worse still, these sizable ‘royalties’ could go to corrupt dictatorships and state sponsors of terrorism.  For example, as a treaty signatory and a member of the Authority’s executive council, the government of Sudan — which has harbored terrorists and conducted a mass extermination campaign against its own people — would have as much say as the US on issues to be decided by the Authority."

   This is what the new "Liberal/Progressive America" is all about.  Obama is doing all that he can to make it happen. Count on it.

   And although major damage to our nation will be done by this treaty, his infamous Presidential Executive Orders are equally horrendous.  A list of just a few include Order #13601 — Establishment of the Interagency Trade Enforcement Center. And Order #13609 — Promoting International Regulatory Cooperation.  And Order #13575 — Establishment of the White House Rural Council.  And Order #13579 — Regulation of Independent Regulatory Agencies.  And there are 126 in all since Obama took over.

   Those who take the time to check out the purpose and power that is allocated by these Executive Orders can easily see that it all represents a massive increase in the central control of the federal government under the current president. It is the central massing of power.  It is how a modern dictatorship comes into being.

   And what else has he been doing?  His latest insult to the American people is with his awarding the Medal of Freedom to Delores Huerta.  She is, in case you didn’t know, an extreme left-wing labor activist and the honorary chairperson of the Democratic Socialists of America.

   And what else?  As Tim Brown reports on Front Porch Politics, "Looks like there is a state takeover of journalism. The Obama Department of Labor is no longer allowing journalists to write stories from economic data issued inside it’s department. Journalists will now have to use government owned computers, government selected software and transmit over government owned Internet access."

   As Greitbart.com reports, "All news organizations have been ordered to remove their computers, tools, and other electronics from the Department of Labor by June 15 and will not be allowed to bring any of their own electronics into the place from that point forward."

   As they expected, the most compliant left-handed media is going right along with it.  Of course they are, just as they are particularly inclined to write up the dominant administration in the best of all possible depictions.

   Oh, and as a last minute "did you know?" we would like to give you this little tidbit that you may have missed.  Obama had signed a bill allowing horses to be slaughtered for human consumption.  Now isn’t that nice?  I wonder if "dog" is going to be next.

   In other news this month, we learn (from Breitbart.com) that, "ACORN — the supposedly defunct organization defunded by Congress in the aftermath of James O’Keefe’s video exposing ACORN employees’ willingness to help out pimps and prostitutes attain government benefits — is back."

   Further revealed, "As Judicial Watch has uncovered, the Obama administration offered $445 million to a former ACORN official as a part of a $7.6 billion government program."  And further, "While ACORN was supposedly cut off from taxpayers, the facts say otherwise.  And this is just the latest indicator.  As Judicial Watch reported, ‘ACORN got tens of thousands of dollars in grants ... The money came via Housing and Urban Development (HUD).’ "

   And the worst among us continue to get funded under this Obamination of an administration with ever growing numbers of disgusting examples.  Needless to say, the unions have their snouts right in the middle of that power center as well.

   As F. Vincent Vernuccio and Trey Kovacs (of the Competitive Enterprise Institute) detail in The Washington Times, Greg Becker, co-general counsel with the AFL-CIO was given a most prestigious and highly unethical position in the federal labor department.  "Mr. Becker was the first-ever NLRB member to be appointed directly from a union.  At the time of his ‘recess’ appointment by President Obama, he worked as an attorney for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU)."  That’s the union that has been involved in all sorts of scandals and charges, as I’ll bet you know.

   The filth in Washington is almost up to the top of the Washington Monument.  And why is that so?  Because we let them get away with it, that’s why.

   To top off all of that, and all the rest, we have learned, through Politico, that "The White House congratulated Egypt’s president-elect Mohamed Morsi on his victory in that country’s presidential election, calling it a ‘milestone’ in the country’s transition to democracy.

   "President Obama called Morsi ... telling him that the United States would stand by Egypt in its transitional period — and said that he looked forward to working together."  Now that’s very interesting, especially since Morsi is a member of the terrorist oriented Islamist Muslim Brotherhood party.

   And yes, that is something our president knows all too well. And that’s the way it’s going down.

   A close examination of many of Obama’s rants are showing just what political falsehoods are all about and where they are coming from.  One example, from Karl Rove in The Wall Street Journal: "If the GOP budget plan is adopted, the president alleged, ‘10 million college students would lose an average of $1,000 each in financial aid; 200,000 children would lose the chance to get an early education’ "

   It is almost laughable when, "In an admission meant to be ignored by the press, Mr. Obama did obliquely mention that House Republicans have not actually called for such reductions," but of course, "...he claimed they ‘would happen.’ "  Boy, his nose must be getting longer by the minute.

   There are also quite a number of things he has said in the past that he doesn’t want you to remember.  In 2008 he actually said, "Navy Seal Team 6 is Cheney’s private assassination team."  And he also said, "Bin Laden is innocent until proven guilty, and must be captured alive and given a fair trial."  That’s right.  He said those things back then.

   But now there’s so much more happening during this campaign season.  Brody Mullins and Jacob Gershman remind us, in the Journal, that "The Internal revenue Service is taking initial steps to examine whether Crossroads GPS, a pro-Republican group affiliated with Karl Rove, and similar political entities are violating their tax exempt status by spending too much on partisan activities ... rather than promoting a benefit to the community, the purpose of the tax exemption."

   But let’s not consider the fact that giving strong support in efforts to preserve the community, and in fact all communities, by supporting an open presentation during the election process — doing something like that is actually one of the best and most important benefits one could ever imagine.  (And, I might add, the Democrats do this in a major and exceptionally partisan manner.)

   The article further notes that, "Last year, the IRS said examining the tax status of 501(c)4 political entities would be a priority for 2012."  Too bad that’s primarily a one-way street, as it has always been with the Democrats.

   It is a time when we are hearing so many bad things about Obama and his administration, but somehow we just never seem to hear much of anything about his more personal, secret side.  Some of this is being called attention to by Dave Boyer in The Washington Times.  "Decades after Mr. Obama completed his college course work, his academic performance is still a mystery.  Before and after his election as president, Mr. Obama has refused to release his college transcripts from his days as an undergraduate and a law school student.

   "Most presidents’ academic records are made public by the time they reach the highest office in the land, either with their consent or by someone else digging them up."  And as further revealed, "The years-long secrecy about Mr. Obama’s college records has led to accusations that he is trying to hide something, for example, grades that might have justified neither his transfer to Columbia University in 1981 from Occidental College, a small school in Los Angeles where he was on a scholarship, nor his acceptance into Harvard Law School in 1988."

   And since there are a few who have come forward and said that their personal recollection was that Obama was listed as a "foreign student" — for this reason there are those who suggest that is the real and very important reason for putting his academic information under a total blackout.  Do we actually know that he was a foreign student?  No we don’t.  We don’t know anything at all.  That’s the problem.

   There are some things from his past that are coming out, however.  As detailed in The National Review by Stanley Kurtz, "On the evening of January 11, 1996, while Mitt Romney was in the final years of his run as the head of Bain Capital, Barack Obama formally joined the ‘New Party,’ which was deeply hostile to the mainstream of the Democratic party and even to American capitalism.  In 2008, candidate Obama deceived the American public about his potentially damaging tie to this third party."

   And further, "Recently obtained evidence from the updated records of Illinois ACORN at the Wisconsin Historical Society now definitively establishes that Obama was a member of the New Party.  He also signed a "contract" promising to publicly support and associate with the New Party while in office.

   Then the lies began.  "When the New Party controversy broke out, just about the only mainstream journalist to cover it was Politico’s Ben Smith, whose evident purpose was to dismiss it out of hand.  He contacted Obama’s official spokesman Ben LaBolt, who claimed that his candidate ‘was never a member’ of the New Party.  And New Party co-founder and leader Joel Rogers told Smith, ‘We didn’t really have members.’  But a line in the New Party’s official newsletter explicitly identified Obama as a party member."

   And then there is this, as revealed by Godfather Politics.com: "Last year, the [Arizona] Cold Case Posse launched an investigation into Obama’s eligibility at the request of a number of Tea Party members who are registered voters in Maricopa County.  What many people may not realize is that the Maricopa County Sheriff’s posse is an all-volunteer organization and as such, the investigation they are involved in is not costing the Sheriff’s Department or taxpayers anything.  They raise their own funds through various donors and fund-raising events."

   And as the report continues, "To begin with, the investigators have discovered overwhelming evidence of the wide spread practice of foreigners coming to Hawaii and purchasing birth certificates for their children born in their own country.  During the time of Obama’s birth in 1961, many Japanese nationals applied for ‘unattended’ birth certificates for their own foreign children.  They did this so as to make their children US citizens and entitle them to the privileges of citizenship.

   "They say that there could not have been a presidential conspiracy then. However, as Zullo points out, the Obama birth announcement did not give any details of the birth like most other announcements of births in local hospitals, but appears as just a couple of lines of basic info like many of the Japanese unattended birth announcements.  If anything, the newspaper announcement adds to the suspicious nature of the location of Obama’s birth."  This most certainly is extremely interesting, yes?

   It has also been further reported by WND that, "In an hour-long radio interview on presidential eligibility, an award-winning journalist and author declared Barack Obama could be at the center of the ‘biggest potential crime in all of American history.’  Diana West, a columnist known for her boldness and penchant for eliciting dropped jaws, was interviewed by Frank Gaffney, founder of the Center for Security Policy, on his Secure Freedom radio show.

   I guess it’s a sign of our times that some of the signs of this time that are seen out there are making such statements as, "What this country needs is a Department of Common Sense," and "American troops come home — we need you to protect us from our own government."  And there is that haunting bumper sticker that I will never forget: "I’ve lost my way. Which way do I go to get back to America?"

   Yes, it’s all more than just a little bit frightening.  Might it be that if we were to get back so many of our lost freedoms, we would see our country once again?  Might that be possible?

   In the meantime, the unrest in America grows.  Walker’s victory in Wisconsin is seen as a serious loss to the public sector unions and the liberal/progressive establishment.  And voters in San Jose and San Diego, California present wins on ballot initiatives that do the same.  And a really unexpected blow came, from of all places, the US Supreme Court, through its decision to strike down unexpected fee increases to workers who are required to pay up in closed-shop situations. (Now if only they would also consider the right to have the freedom to work for anyone who might wish to hire, union or not.)

   You can soon expect a rising tide of union inspired demonstrations and acts of vandalism.  That’s how they have reacted in the past, when they don’t get what they want.  Is there any reason to expect that behavior won’t surface once again?

   At least it can be said, that with regard to some areas of unrest, more and more of the public is taking to their own defense.  As detailed by a number of media sources, "Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez, 23 and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11-year-old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home.

   "It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45-caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery.  The victim at that robbery, 50-year-old David O’Burien, died of stab wounds to the chest."

   You didn’t hear about that one on the nightly news now did you?  No, of course not, because that’s what real gun control is all about.

   The left couldn’t pump this one up into any sort of Zimmerman harangue.  It was a little girl defending herself against two dangerous intruders.  Oops.  I guess they’ll leave that one alone.

   But that’s all right.  There are so many other things for them to rant about.  And there would be so much more for them to be upset about if the white majority developed the organizational structures of the minority-left.  What do you think the reaction would be if white Americans had a National Association for the Advancement of White People or established a United Caucasian College Fund or initiated a White History Month or established a white pressure group that was called "The Race" (like La Raza)?  Just imagine the left-hand media reaction to all of that.  Wow!

   As we move along, once again we are back to ObamaCare on intensive care.  And what do we find?  The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services tell us that a steep rise in health care can be expected.  That’s what they’re telling us. We also see college health plans raising their premiums to a very high level or just dropping such plans altogether.

   We are also hearing from people like Dr. Suzanne Allen, who is the head of emergency services at the Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee.  This is what she has to say: "We are seeing cutbacks throughout the services we provide. For example, we are now having to deal with patients who would normally receive dialysis that can no longer be accepted.  In the past, there was always automatic approval under Medicare for anyone who needed dialysis — not anymore.  They will die soon without dialysis."

   And, as if it isn’t getting bad enough with 21 separate taxes being levied under ObamaCare (at over $675 billion a year), we now also have that new Supreme Court decision that amounts to judicial tax-writing, to add to everything else.

   This writer also can’t help but see the illogical nature of our government which insists we must prove we are insured, or face a considerable fine (tax), but no one has to prove they are actually citizens or that they have the right to legally vote.

   But by far, the most troubling fact is that we now have a procedure — Quality Adjusted Life Years (QALY) — that empowers bureaucrats with the power to deny assistance or devices or procedures under ObamaCare.  The philosophy is that if you are sick enough, or old enough, you may be too much of a drain on the system.  Better you just go home and die.  You want to do that or perhaps have this done for your mother?  Hey, it’s ObamaCare.  You gotta get with the program.

   And what about all of those wonderful medical devices that have become such a miracle?  We’re now going to tax them severely.  Well, that takes care of further development of such medical science in America.  It’s now a matter of going overseas, tacking on higher prices (which you will pay) or going out of business.  Thanks Obama.  You’ve done it again.

   So what is the public saying about all of this — about such things as ObamaCare in general and the forced mandate for coverage?  One very prominent sign this writer has been seeing reads, "If the Health Care Reform Plan is so great, why does it exempt our President, the full Congress and their families? (As detailed on page 113, Line 22.)"

   Another comment, all over the Internet, reads, "America has fundamentally changed.  Government now assumes the power to force an individual to engage in commerce [through the new, forced health plan]."

   It’s all very strange since way back in 2008, Obama said, "Having a mandate to buy health insurance is like forcing the homeless to buy houses."  My, my, Mr. Obama.  How you have changed.

   Now if only we could manage to get the general public to see the insanity in all of this.  As Thomas Sowell put it, "It is amazing that people who think we cannot afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, and medication somehow think that we can afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, medication and a government bureaucracy to administer it."

   I’m wondering if an eventual liberal awakening (a highly unlikely event) would go something like this: "I thought I was getting free healthcare by having other people pay for it.  I just realized, I am the other people."

   It should also be noted, as written for Fox News on the Internet, "Leaders of the 26 states that challenged the federal health care law in court have one luxury with the outcome — they can do nothing.  While the Supreme Court upheld the bulk of the Affordable Care Act, it did rein in the law’s expansion of Medicaid by ruling that the federal government could not withhold Medicaid funds to those states that don’t comply.  The absence of any punitive measures means there is nothing to compel the governors or attorneys general to begin implementation of the law."  Well, at least that’s something.

   And now, how might Obama’s Iran sanctions be doing? Well, the US ( under Obama) has exempted China from the penalties for doing business with Iran.  Oh, that helps a lot now doesn’t it?  We see — and it is most certainly easy to understand — that as our government operates today, there is no fear and absolutely no respect for America anywhere in the world.  And, of course, Iran, Syria, Russia, China, North Korea, and all the rest of them do whatever they damn well please.

   Reza Kahlili wrote, for WND, that "With Western pressure growing on Bashar Assad over the latest massacres of defenseless women and children in Syria, Iranian officials again are warning the world against any action against the Middle East dictator.

   It is also as expected that here on our own home front, we fare no better.  As Bob Unruh reports for WND, "A federal appeals court says a Marine can’t challenge a US government subsidy for a program that promotes Shariah, the radical Islamic law that includes chopping off hands for theft and beheadings for leaving Islam.  The ruling came from Alan Norris, Eric Clay and Allen Griffin, judges on the 6th US Circuit Court of Appeals."

   And, for those who think Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance, it is hoped you have been able to see the latest video that this writer had the opportunity of viewing.  It was, believe it or not, at this year’s Muslim Arab Festival in Dearborn, Michigan. Young Muslims are seen assaulting nearby Christians with milk crates, glass bottles, eggs and whatever else they can find to throw.

   Later on Wayne County Deputy Chief Mike Jaafar, said that it was a "...great family-oriented festival."  Oh yes, wasn’t it ever.

   Now, let’s take a look this month at what is left of the American legal system.  To begin with, we all know that bankruptcies represent a major financial problem for whomsoever might be caught up in such things.  So, why is it that so many attorneys charge $1,000 and hour and more in so many instances?  Good question, and authorities are asking that.  Not that it will do all that much good.  But at least, by asking, it becomes more obvious to all just what blood-suckers some lawyers actually are.

   One of the practical solutions seems to be that for some of the serious legal document and precedence searching, computer programs do a much more reasonably priced job. And then there are also special Internet companies that will get you the proper legal documents and help you fill them out, for a considerable number of business and personal legal requirements.

   It’s nice to see that new, graduating lawyers are now being advised to re-think their goals.  They are being asked to consider hooking up with smaller law firms or by going independent and for a reasonable fee.  Good grief.  What a radical idea that is.

   We can only hope that this sort of thing catches on.  We can only hope.

   Some who are less exposed to the realities of our current legal system might be inclined to ask what is there to be concerned about with the way things are?  In simple terms, most folks just can’t afford justice.  And many others are finding their freedoms to be slowly rotting away beneath their feet.

   The next time you want a "Big Gulp" drink at 7-11 and find that it’s against the law in New York City but that you can get an abortion on demand, without any problem at all, please do consider recognizing such examples for what they really are.

   And there is that photographer in New Mexico who didn’t want to photograph a lesbian wedding because the photographer felt it was not an actual wedding and that it went against the photographer’s core beliefs.  It’s a right that is an intrinsic part of the freedom of association, and the freedom to accept or turn down a contractual job.  This concept has legal standing way back in the 90's — the 1890's.

   But three New Mexico judges decided to make new law and promptly fined the photographer $7,000 for turning down the offer/opportunity.  It was determined to be a civil rights violation/a discrimination.  Such terms are now being used as a catch-all for just about anything they want it to be.

   And let us not forget the many states where we have what they call closed-shop union operations.  That means, in plain English, that you might want to work for a company and the company might want to hire you, but that won’t be allowed to happen unless you are a member of the union.

   And of course we all know about the difficulties of running your own small business — the heavy and numerous operational regulations, the difficulties of challenged terminations, the tax and licencing labyrinths, etc., etc.  And also let us not forget that any property that you might own is yours just as long as somebody else doesn’t want it who knows how to convince local authorities they offer a more lucrative tax base, and gets such authorities to use eminent domain to take your property away from you and give it to that other person or business.

   There are many, many additional examples one could list, but you can see what is happening.  We are a long way from the nation we once were — a long, long way.

   We also can’t conclude this segment without mentioning the most horrifying example of the loss of freedom that one could ever imagine — the loss of life.  The statistics (from the Center For Disease Control) tell it most convincingly.  The leading cause of death per year in America is not accidents (118,021), not strokes (128,842), not cancer (567, 628), not heart disease (599,413) — it is abortion (1,200,000).  Just so we understand each other, the word "abortion" refers to the "death" of a newly developing human being.  Such a loss of life is the greatest loss of freedom that there is — the loss of the freedom to live.

   This is the month when the Supreme Court limited Arizona’s ability to get the illegal alien problem under control, but also allowed for reasonable police checks.  And this is when Obama said it very clearly that he did not like that law and the decision and that he would no longer enforce it.

   Now let me get this clear.  That means that if the president doesn’t like a law he can ignore it?  This is happening and he is not under indictment?  This dictatorship is that firmly in place?  Just thought I’d ask.

 In other areas of law and disorder, there is this very interesting statement making the rounds of the Internet.  "I would much rather explain to the police, why an intruder in my home has a hole in his chest, than to have them explain to my loved ones why I was raped and murdered."  Just make sure he’s not black, or you could be faced with what practically amounts to a verbal lynch mob.

   And in still other areas, we read about the President of Mexican narco-republic, Felipe Calderon, calling for the legalization of marijuana in America.  This joins the several states that already have made it "somewhat" legal and the many on the left pushing for full legalization nationally.  But naturally none of these "pushers" want you to know about the United Nations report which states that marijuana use is not only way up in America, it has also been found to be far more dangerous than previously realized.  The report indicates that new medical evidence indicates that marijuana can seriously damage the human brain.

   It might also be added that pot also makes the user more docile and compliant (when not reacting violently) and therefore they might make a better, less questioning voting block that the left can take full advantage of.  You don’t think they’ve considered that?  Well of course they have.  Let’s be realistic.

   Possibly we might also like to consider just how secure we and our world is, as it might influence whatever might be left of our freedoms.  So let’s see what’s going on in our world and at home as well.

   The headlines tell us that Moscow is sending attack helicopters to Syria, and when questioned by our government on the issue, the Russian President Vladimir Putin showed us the back of his hand.  And in Iran the announcement was made that they are planning to build a nuclear submarine. Let’s face it, all the bad-guys are out in force and running wild.  And why not?  After all America has been emasculated by our leader, Barack Obama.

   And in China we see them building what only can be described as a significant space-warfare capability.  And China has decided to fill the vacuum on the seas as well.  They are also getting as much of our best technology as they can.  By way of example, it was recently revealed that Pratt & Whitney supplied China’s attack helicopters with our advanced PT6C-67C engines.

   But not to worry.  The technology runs in both directions, right?  Sure it does, as explained by F. Michael Maloof (WND): "Fake electronic components from China have been discovered in thermal weapons sights delivered to the US Army on mission computers for the Missile Defense Agency’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (or THAAD) missiles and on military aircraft, including several models of helicopters and the P-8A-Poseidon, according to federal investigators."

   It is crippling for our equipment and "The evidence comes when we have new reports that the problem with faked Chinese electronic components being installed in US military systems is far more widespread than originally thought."  And with all of that we learn that China is ramping up its development of nuclear power in all areas, including with new power plant reactors.

   This is the reality of Obama’s 21st century.

   The reality of our insecure southern border and the related consequences are also a hallmark of our new century.  Among other things, the records show us that more than 43% of all food stamps are given to illegals.  We also understand that as many as 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles is for illegals.  Oh yes, and it should be noted that less than 2% of illegals are picking crops, but about 41% seem to be on welfare.

   Information is also in that suggests that more than 66% of all births in California are to illegals on Medi-Cal, which of course is paid by the taxpayer.  And close to 60% of all occupants of HUD properties in the US are actually illegals. And 75% of LA’s most wanted are illegals.  And that’s understandable since over half of all gang members are illegals.  No wonder they flock to this country.  Why not?  The idiot gringos will take care of everything for them.

   So what do we do about all this?  As reported in The Wall Street Journal by Laura Meckler and Miriam Jordan, "President Barack Obama said that his administration would let many young illegal immigrants legally live and work in the US, sidestepping Congress."  And the Forest Service has been reprimanded by the Obama administration for calling the Border Patrol about incursions of illegals.

   At least in Europe they are not completely brain dead.  They are tightening their borders.

   With all that’s going on, what is happening with the majority of our media elements, the broadcast news and the printed page?  It’s obvious that most of what you read here is not reported by most in media.  So what are they doing?  Let’s take a look and see.

   Frontline produced a two-hour documentary entitled, "Money, Power and Wall Street News."  It is a vehicle through which Obama’s Wall Street strategy, bankers’ deals, and regulations are highlighted.  Unfortunately, it was done in a seriously incomplete way.  It left out the uncomfortable fact that Obama didn’t really seem to know very much about what was going on or how to interact with the real world.

   It also seriously left out the Frank/Dodd fiasco and other party failures that clearly brought the whole house of cards down around us all.  And, of course, this is definitely not the first time that the major part of a story is left out.

   In other areas, Jeffrey T. Kuhner, the president of the Edmund Burke Institute writes in The Washington Times that, "The liberal media is finally looking into the birth certificate issue — Mitt Romney’s that is.  Reuters extensively investigated the presumptive Republican nominee’s background, and concluded that he was born on US soil and qualifies as a ‘natural born citizen.’ "

   That’s nice of them to do that.  All presidential candidates should be examined this thoroughly.  And of course they did that with Obama as well, right?  Oh, that’s right, they didn’t do that with Obama now did they?  You are not surprised?

   And in Hollywood, we see that movies are being cranked out that show corporations and business leaders as the bad guys. And when, we might ask, was the last time you saw a movie that depicted a left-wing group, party or leader who was shown as a bad guy?  All the time, right?  Sure.

   And on television, as reported by Tim Brown for Front Porch Politics, "It seems that MSNBC has a wicked and sick sense of humor as it fantasizes about Mitt Romney’s campaign bus exploding into flames.  The video appeared on one of the Friday editions of Martin Bashier."

   Brent Bozell, the President of Media Research Center puts it exceptionally well.  "The bias beat goes on, and it’s getting more obvious as outrage against Obama and his mandate spreads to every corner of America.

   As further detailed, "By comparison, CBS News dedicated four separate on-air segments between May 30 and June 1 to the supporters of a group of left-leaning Catholic nuns.  CBS correspondent Wyatt Andrews boasted that, ‘hundreds of Catholics have rallied behind the sisters,’ and that ‘protests in support of the nuns have been held in almost 50 cities,’ a fraction of the size and scope of the rallies held in opposition to the ObamaCare mandate created to restrict religious liberty."

   So much for an un-bias media.

   Newspapers and television news routinely skew the news this way, so it’s no surprise when we read something like this in The Wall Street Journal:  "When news broke that NBC was in talks to replace Ann Curry on the ‘Today’ show, much was made of the fact that the morning program had briefly slipped out of its No. 1 spot in the morning-show ratings recently for the first time in 16 years."  They only have to look at the overall picture to see that broadcast news and similar puff-productions are not taken all that seriously anymore.

   But the left never learns, as we have said time and again.  It even has gotten into some of our comic strips.  Now we hear that "Superman is giving up his US citizenship — so he won’t be perceived as representing mainly American interests." (As noted in "Action Comics" #900, and as relayed to us by Mallard Fillmore/Bruce Tinsley, in The Washington Times.)

   And to top things off this month in our media report, we note that the not-so-Supreme Court has overturned the FCC fines for TV indecency.  Now that really puts the frosting on the cake, now doesn’t it?

   Although the current administration in Washington does seem to be getting away with an enormous number of unlawful acts, a small amount of it is receiving at least a little bit of scrutiny.  As Devlin Barrett reports in The Wall Street Journal, "Federal prosecutors are conducting a criminal investigation into whether the Environmental Protection Agency misled the courts about a pollution case in Omaha, Neb., that led to a $187 million settlement with the former owner of a lead refinery, according to court records and people involved in the matter."

   Another incident would be as told by Doug Book (Western Journalism): "It was in August of 2010 that the House Ethics Committee decided to proceed with charges against California Congresswoman Maxine Waters for contriving to procure ‘special favors’ for the Massachusetts-based One United Bank."

   And further, "It also seems Maxine Waters’ husband, Sidney Williams, was on the board of One United and owned $350,000 worth of the bank’s stock — stock that would have been worthless if the bank failed."

   Too bad so little of this sort of thing can be reported to you. Too bad these two examples are so rare, at a time when we have so much corruption in just about every direction.  Too bad.

   On the educational front in America, the bad examples seem to be endless.  Mona Charen offered a number of tainted slices from various text books and curricula.  An example: "Paging through ‘World Civilizations: The Global Experience’ by Peter N. Stearns et al. is flabbergasting.  The authors lean so far backward to be neutral about various cultures and nations that the text fails utterly as reliable history."

   With all of that, in so much of what is presented to the kids, we also have an enormous amount of very key and highly meaningful history, particularly American history, that is completely left out.  And when you add it all to the often highly bias teachers’ agenda, our children don’t have a chance.

   Is anything good happening in the schools — anything good at all?  Well, maybe a few things here and there, finally.  As noted in The Wall Street Journal, "...the support of America’s mayors for ‘parent trigger,’ the public school reform that was denounced as radical only a few years ago, now is spreading across the country."

   So, how does that work?  "At ‘persistently failing’ institutions, a majority of parents can sign a petition that turns out the administrators and teachers in favor of more competent hires, or dissolves the school, or converts it to a charter.  Teachers unions loathe this form of local accountability."  School boards and unions and special left-leaning interests are fighting back.  This battle has only begun.

   We also see the call for the cutting of college administrative sprawl to help keep the tuition costs under better control, as voiced by George F. Will in Human Events magazine.  And we see pressures rising toward the greater development of charter schools.

   Yes, the battle has begun.
