Really Getting Started!
INTRODUCTION
It is assumed that you have carefully looked over a number
of the most important pages on this web site. You have read the "Concerns" pages and used the navigation pages for the "action"
entries and for the overall web site. And you have found the page that lists important national groups.
There is so much more of value for you to see, but what was
just mentioned will get you started in the right direction. So, we are ready to begin, right? (Of course, if you
have already started a group or are a member of a group or are otherwise well advanced in your efforts, this information may
then serve as a review and as something you might want to pass on to others.)
However, we would very strongly recommend one very special page
that you may want to see right now. It's a place where you can be a part of a truly important effort to do so many of
the things that you would like to see done. It's where we can all begin to turn things around.
The page is "Something Important To Do RIGHT NOW" and it's something you really don't want to miss.
And, while you're at it, you may also want to see what we have written
below. It's a sort of "master guide" that you can use, no matter what you might care to do. So, take a look and
see what you think.
THE GOAL
The first thing one must always do when considering any constructive
actions, is to determine very clearly just what we want to accomplish. That’s where it always must begin.
So that’s where we’ll begin.
And what do we want? We want corporate America to be
free from becoming a part of an all-powerful central government force. We want to reconstruct our healthcare system
and make sure it will be and will remain independent from oppressive government control.
We want our legal system to become affordable and with no
more judicial legislation from the bench. We want to rebuild our educational systems to include everything from
inspiring American history to comprehensive ethics and important moral values training.
We want a level of financial responsibility mandated in our
nation, on all levels of government. And we want our representatives to be individuals who understand that they work
for us, not the other way around. And many folks want to seriously examine the possibility of across the board term
limits for all elected officials, and a serious limit on election funding.
We also need to tackle government corruption, the health hazard
of promiscuous behavior, white collar crime, the culture of violence, the drug problems and so much more. And we
need to make it very clear that "separation of church and state" is not constitutionally mandated. We
need to tackle all of these things as never before.
And we need to move seriously toward workable energy
independence and stop turning our planet into one great big junk yard. And we want to secure our borders and maintain
our immigration based on legal entry.
One could go on and on, but this gives you a good idea about
the general feelings being expressed across the land. (This writer’s e-mails, speaking tours, talk radio interviews,
regular mail and phone calls all clearly show this concern and this pattern.)
HOW TO BEGIN
We must ask ourselves where such decisions are made and where
such policies are enacted. The answer, of course, is that it is all done by our elected officials.
This simply means that if we don’t have elected officials
who will support our goals, we must vote them out of office, to be replaced
by those who will support what we want and so desperately need.
That is where we must begin.
THE NEXT STEP
First, we have Tea Parties and Town Meetings and demonstrations
and political confrontations, and other peaceful public activities. This helps to let others know what most of the media
isn’t inclined to report. It is an important part of the reeducation of America.
It also is a great help in the process of folks getting to
know one another and putting together the organizational structure that is going to be so very important.
Next, we need to make sure that we have good candidates, and
if we don’t, we have to find worthwhile replacements and get behind them all the way. This needs to be done on
local levels, regional levels and on the national level.
And, in the process, we need to get good, quality support and
assistance everywhere that we can. And we need to establish effective communication conduits and make sure we are always
in touch and working together on all levels. (That’s where this web site can be of help.)
IN CONCLUSION
So, you need to start by looking around and seeing what you’ve
got to start with in your own community. Then take it from there. Get together. Study the possibilities.
Create a mission statement. Establish resources. Get others to join in. Contact talk shows. Send e-mails.
Reach other groups. Combine efforts. Make your weight felt in the political arena. Move forward. Make
it happen.
You can do it. You must do it. Our nation depends
on you. Our future is in your hands.
You can do it.
