Dear Sirs,
I have just seen your new page for letters and I wanted to be one of the first to reply.
I see that you have more than a list of problems on this site. You have suggested that we
can all get involved and you show us some of the things we can do.
My biggest concern is that I feel there are too few left in America who are willing to make such
a personal commitment. I hope it's not too late. I'll do what I can but I feel I'm alone out there.
Anybody else willing?

To GAB --
You may not want to publish my e-mail but I'm gonna write it anyway.
Your site is beautiful but it's a study in idealistic optimism. Frankly, I don't think there
are enough responsible citizens here in America to make such laudable changes possible. I don't think it can
happen --- not anymore.
Don't get upset with me. I'll do my best anyway. It's just that I don't think there
are enough of us out there. They'll like the site. They'll complain about the problems. But they won't do
a damn thing.

Dear Mr. West,
There are many pages that are important, but one of them really hit me hard. It's
your web site page "Shocking News Events in America."
Is this in Russia, China or Cuba? No, it's right here in America. I
have also read of many other such examples and realize the total number is in the many thousands, if not millions. It's
frightening. I don't know how else to describe it.
How did it get so bad? I believe it's because the original spirit has gone out
of most of our current population. We've lost it. If I'm wrong, then tell me what all you readers have been
doing over the last few years. You tell me how you are working to turn this around.
Let's hope this isn't another repeating lesson from history about the decline and fall
of another empire. If even a few thousand would be willing to become inspired by this and other web sites and by books
and talks that also try to get us involved, then we might begin to turn this around.
It won't take a large number. It won't take millions. It will take a few
thousand. Where does it start? It starts with you and me.

Hello,
I found your web site by looking up help for dealing with injustice. I feel beyond
sick about the injustice that has happened in my family. There is no help.
My sister was murdered in 1996 by my then husband, He was arrested in 2001.
(Yes, it took the police department that long to discover he was the murderer.)
Yes, he was able to have that many delays through our criminal justice system.
And on November 4, 2005, a very incompetent jury set a raping murderer free.
The justice system in this country is a joke and when I mention this to the politicians
and public servents, I am told that this is the way our country was founded and it is the way the justice system works.
For law abiding, honest people, the system is ludicrous. I will get your book and
do what I can do. I feel like people just do not care anymore. If it does not effect their daily routine it is
not worth a bother.

It's good to hear from you who have submitted e-mails for this page and also from
the many others who have written or called. It is heartening to find that you all are willing to roll up your sleeves
and really do your very best to get involved. That's what it takes. And remember, I'm here to help you in any
way that I can. Be sure to keep in touch.
-- Jonathan West
Dear Sir,
We agree with what you are trying to do. It's a very worthwhile effort and we want
you to know that we will do what we can.
We are particularly interested in helping to put together a series of American Town Meetings,
as suggested on your web page, "Something You Can Do Right Now." It seems to us to be the sort of thing that can really
develop into a new beginning.
You say you will help us to put something like this together, right? There is much
on your web site that can aid us, but it's good to know that we can call or write to you for further advice. We'll keep
in touch with you and we hope others will do the same.

From the state of Ohio
It's wonderful to hear from your family out there in Ohio. It's a great
state and you folks are obviously one very special family. Yes, I'll help you in any way that I can and you can also
gain much good information from such pages on this site as, "Make It Happen," "A List of Changes," "The Politicians' Pledge,"
Special Book Offer," "Resources - Groups," and "Resources - Governmental." Together we can make a difference.

Dear GAB,
I never believed I would find any part of this country becoming a third-world dictatorship.
It's happened where I live, in this part of America.
It's so bad, I'm packing up and moving out. It's bad everywhere and getting worse,
but it's a nightmare where I am now. Special interests have a strangle hold on this place.
Those of you who can't understand what's happening can go to the page on this web site
called, "Shocking News Events in America." I see you've got good sources for what you've listed. That should give
the skeptics something to think about.

(Jan. 25, 2006)
Jonathan,
I don't know how on earth you are ever going to manage to reach concerned Americans.
The print media is a dead issue and most broadcast news wants sensational sound bites. There are a very few publications
and talk shows you might be able to reach and maybe one cable news channel, but all of that together doesn't reach many people.
Almost all of our media is of a single mind set, as is our educational system.
How can we ever break through all of this? Is this the end of the "land of the free and the home of the brave"?
Is that it for us?
- John Roberts
Villa Park, Ill. (Feb. 12, 2006)
Yes, Mr. Roberts, most of the American print media is in a very sad state.
It's something I don't think I will ever really understand. There are so many other news events, issues and viewpoints
that are also valid and constructive and yet excluded for reasons that elude me.
Sometimes I think it's a kind of elitist viewpoint that dismisses that which
does not fit the current definition of the "politically correct."
Sometimes it's the lazy approach, embracing the "sin of omission." Quite
often it might just be called very poor journalism.
Whatever the answer, it is certainly not good for our nation and it is also negatively
impacting the newspaper industry in general. It will be very interesting to see what the future will bring.
-- Jonathan West
Dear Getting America Back,
I can hardly believe what I've found. This is an amazing web site. I didn't
know there was anybody else like that left in America. How did this happen? Did you come from another planet?
Don't mean to make light of it. It's just that it's so unexpected. Someone
is actually suggesting that we start solving our problems by really getting involved. Who ever heard of such a thing?
There are a few out there who think that way, but not many. Maybe if we can find
a way to increase the numbers, we might have a chance and make a difference. Maybe it's worth trying.

Dear Jonathan West,
A few days ago I heard you on a local station here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I guess
you were doing the show from the San Diego area. You spoke about your web site, so I went there to take a look at it.
Your Getting America Back web site is one of the most intelligent things I've seen on
the internet in a long time. It's so deeply researched and so well written.
The thing I like about it most of all is that it's truly non-partisan and you offer things
we can do to turn things around. I don't know many places or many people using that approach.
You seem to be doing shows and interviews all over America. I hope that brings
you many concerned Americans to your site. It needs to be seen by everyone. Count on me to spread the word and
I hope others will, too.
Best Wishes,
Tamara Raines
Las Vegas (Feb. 26, 2006)
Dear GAB,
Have enjoyed this site and will continue to learn from it. I've also gone to a
couple of local book stores and they haven't got your book. Neither of them ever heard of it. There really
IS a black curtain hanging over your book.
I will never be able to understand how something like this can happen in this country.
Maybe what some people are saying is true. Maybe this is no longer America.
I'll order the book from your "Special Book Offer" web page. I gotta see what some
people don't want us to see.
Yours Truly,

Getting America Back --
I hope you have a way of archiving all that you have on this web site. Some day,
in the far distant future, historians are going to want to see what you have written. It tells the story of the decline
and fall of a once great empire.
They're going to want to know why we fell. They're going to want to know what went
wrong with us --- why most from this time don't seem to give a damn. They'll want to know all about that.
Making this a securely saved series of historic documents may end up as the
most important thing you ever do. Along with other important documents, this will help them to figure things out.
Every page on this site is important, even this page. You'll want to save it all.
That way, what you have done won't be a complete waste.
Yours truly,
Steven Sprague

Dear Editor,
What I will never understand is why a major media source doesn't highlight this important
web site with it's accurate, shocking information and then responsible business, science and governmental leadership should
be willing to immediately get involved to deal with this horrible situation.
The reality is, the major media will continue to ignore this effort and, even if they
did give it a chance, what leadership in America is left that's willing to champion the cause?
This must be what it's like to be in a nation when it's in serious decline.

Dear Jonathan,
I see you've made some very interesting changes and additions to your web site.
It was good to begin with and now it's even better. I particularly like the changes you made in the introduction on
the Home Page. And your Special Message page is really powerful.
I hope this is really getting out to lots of people all over America. They've got
to see this. I tell people about it wherever I go, and I'm going everywhere. Hope it will help.

On the road in America. (April 3, 2006)
Dear Sir,
It shows how far we've fallen when you can read things like "Shocking News Events In
America" and there's no outcry to get our country back. And there's also the property rights we've lost, the invasion
from another country, the failure of our educational system, the drug and crime problems, the breakdown of our legal system,
and it goes on forever, just like you said in your book and on this web site.
I don't like having to live in this time of the fall. This is bad and it's
going to get a lot worse. At least, if you can preserve what's in your book and on this site, civilizations of the future
can see how we blew it.

Getting America Back --
You really called the shots way ahead of time. The early part of our fall is here.
I particularly like your page "Protecting Our Borders." This problem has brought us great unrest in the streets.
You show some of the history of it and you show the global nature of the problem.
We've got to organize, as you suggest, to turn things around. This web site of
yours shows anyone how to do it. I realize there will be more to come, but what you have right now is a really good
first start.
I'll do what I can.
-- Ricardo
Los Angeles (April 22, 2006)
Dear Sir,
I've tried everything. I've even gotten many to agree with me that things are getting
worse every day. But it doesn't seem to do any good.
Almost everyone tells me they have no time, but they have time for other things.
They say they need to work two jobs, but the value of their money keeps evaporating as things continue to deteriorate.
They claim they wouldn't know what to do anyway, but there's so much out there that can help them learn (like this web site).
They point out that they spend all of their time raising their kids, but what kind of a nation will they be leaving them?
They just don't want to do anything, do they? They'll use any excuse and nothing
will happen because they don't really care that much. They may say they do, but their actions speak louder than their
words.
This is what I'm up against.
Sincerely,
David Peterson

I have received hundreds of e-mails from so many folks all over America and a
few have asked that I post their message here, which I have done. Many of the messages received, including several I
have posted, show me that a number of you are very disheartened by so many of the very bad things that are happening to us
in this trying time.
It is becoming quite overwhelming to us all, but we really do need to rise to
this situation and show that we truly do have courageous hearts. We must be steadfast in our resolve to stand against
the chaos. It is something we must do and it is something that we can do.
Learn from this web site. Study the possibilities. Discover what you
can do. Be a part of meaningful solutions. You can do it. I know you can.
-- Jonathan West
Dear Jonathan West,
I can't believe what's happening. Corporations robbing us blind, illegal aliens
sneaking across the border and then demanding everything they think they can get from us, our legal system falling down around
our ears, and so much more and so few are willing to do anything about it.
It's unbelievable what's happening. It's like the end of America as we have known
it. I'll do what I can, but it seems almost impossible. I'll fight back, but it may be too late.
I promise you this --- I won't give up. Almost everyone around me has given up
or just never tried to do very much in the first place, but I will stay as strong as I can in the face of whatever happens.
I won't give up.
Very sincerely,

For: Getting America Back web site --
I am a member of a civic discussion group. We recently devoted one full session
to the premise of your web site. It was a very lively discussion.
Everyone had reviewed your site sometime during the week preceding the meeting.
Most of us were excited by what you showed us on the site and what you suggest we can do.
Now it remains to be seen if all that positive energy can become a part of an effort.
Wish us luck.
Charline Chang

For the GAB web site --
This is the first time I have seen so much detailed, highly researched material showing
us what's happening and offering us really good information on how to fight back intelligently. Too bad it's so much
like tossing pearls before swine. There aren't many out there who have any idea at all about what's going on and they
don't care that much anyway.
Everybody's just too damn busy chasing the all-mighty buck. I applaud your effort
to wake people up and educate them and to try and motivate them into action. Now if you could only find a way to pay
people to do the right thing, you might get something done.
Yours truly,
Samuel Giavonni
Jacksonville, Florida (May 24, 2006)
Dear Jonathan,
I see that large numbers of people seem to be concerned and agree with you on most or
all of the issues you bring up. I can also see that you realize that really isn't the problem.
The difficulty starts with most of the people being unwilling to get off their buts and
really get involved. They want someone else to do it for them.
I've followed that thinking on the internet, listening to talk shows, in discussions
in magazines, and on a few cable channels. It seems to be everywhere.
If some of them will only come over here to your web site, they might learn something.
They might become more motivated. They could even learn how to get involved.
I don't know if they'll ever actually DO anything though. Some might. Who
knows. I think I'll see what I can do.
John Harper

To the attention of Jonathan West --
A recent documentary reminded me of the excellent research that has been done on the
attitudes and values that were dominant during the decline and fall of many past civilizations. The similarity
to our time is uncanny.
Your web site and some of the contributors to your e-mail letters page have alluded
to this. I believe you may be correct in that observation.
Everyone I have referred to your web site has told me they agree with what you have presented.
I have yet to see one of them start to do what you suggest we should do. They don't want to do. They want to complain.
They want someone else to make any serious effort for them. Who is that
someone else going to be? Next to no one, as far as I can tell. But you may be planting seeds here and someday
something may happen.
Someone may decide to do something of value and then someone else may do that as well
and then another and another. It should start with me and anyone else reading this e-mail letter right now.
That's what the beginning is all about and it starts right here and now.
Raymond J. Nordstrom
Macon, Georgia (June 14, 2006)
To Getting America Back web site,
I admire what you are trying to do, but I don't have the faith in people that you evidently
do. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you are making the attempt. I just don't think there are enough who will look
at this site and really start to try to do something.
Everybody wants to complain and expect that someone else will stand up and do it for
them. Or, some will complain and think it's all over and no one can clean up the mess.
I've told a couple of friends to look at your site and they did and think it's very nice
but they have every excuse that anyone could imagine why they can't or won't get involved.
I wonder how many will read these words and think that way and never do a damn thing.
Makes me wonder just what the hell use anybody is at all. What's the purpose of even being born if you're not going
to do much of anything anyway?
What a waste.

Dear GAB,
I'm really inspired by what I read on your web site. I'm going to do what I can.
That makes me look strange to just about everybody else because just about everybody else will do not one damn thing and think
you're wasting your time if you actually try to do something positive.
I don't care. I'm not going to become one of that massive mob of losers.
I have more self-esteem than that.

Dear GettingAmericaBack.org,
I see a sea of misinformation and general stupidity out there getting the major coverage,
getting the major attention. And then I see your web site, a safe harbor of sweet reason, and the general public doesn't

Intelligence and honesty doesn't seem to have a place in today's world, does it?
Is that what we must write on our civilization's grave stone?

Letter to GAB --
Lots of folks around me are beginning to talk about your web site. It's the
first patriotic site I've found that does not tie itself to a political party or a left or right wing organization.
It's truly a breath of fresh air.
We're all getting really sick about the way politics has evolved here in America at this
time. The way things are going, we can only hurt, not help, our beleaguered nation. You offer another way to go.
Way to go, Jonathan!
Yours,

To GettingAmericaBack.org,
I'm one of a number of people in this town who say they might send you an email
to publish, but I think I'm the only one who has, so far. Their hearts are in the right place. They just can't
seem to get into gear.
Put me down as one who will stand up and be counted. You're doing a great service
for our country. I'm moved to get involved. I hope others are, too. Too bad the media has been silent about
all of this.

Dear Sir,
Just a quick note to let you know we're out there. You may not realize it but you've
got a lot of site viewers and I'm one of them. And we talk it up. We're really there. You're not alone.
Really here,
Scott Morgan
Springfield, Mass. (Oct. 4, 2006)
Dear GAB,
Your web site has been used in our somewhat informal study group and the consensus is
that it's one of the best efforts in America to try and bring us back as a strong and honorable nation.
In other words, it will probably do no good whatsoever. What passes for the majority
of the American people today will never understand it, appreciate it or be motivated by it.
Most of today's Americans want money, little work, their TV, the opportunity to whine
when they feel like it, doing things that will please them and do no good at all beyond their immediate circle.
The fall of most empires before this one went the same way. Voices of sanity were
not of interest. To pay attention might mean having to actually make an effort and we can't have that. That would
stand against the downward spiral. That would be unacceptable.
I'm sure your motives are of the highest order but not that many will ever care.
You're tossing pearls before swine. I don't like it but that's just the way it is.
I wish you luck, but what you need is a miracle.
Sincerely,
Michael Pershing
New Haven, Conn. (Oct. 12, 2006)
To Letters Page,
Why is it that most everyone just wants to whine about things? Hardly anyone wants
to try and make a difference. Why is that? Is it some defect in the national psyche?
Maybe some of you others are right. Maybe this is what happens when a
civilization begins to fall. Like some of you, I wonder what future generations will think about how we tried to get
people going, with books and at places like this web site, and everybody wanted to have somebody else do it for them.
How many times has this sort of thing got to repeat itself before people begin to learn?
Will it ever happen? Will they ever learn?
Sam Shetland
Albuquerque, New Mexico (Oct. 20, 2006)
To the GAB web site,
I sometimes don't know which is worse, the stupid Republicans or the frightening Democrats.
Either way we can't win. The quality is gone. All we have left are the idiots and the ones who would destroy us
on a matter of principal.
With choices like that, it's no wonder that all elections give us bad results.
Now what do we do?
As ever,
Maril Langendorf
Billings, Montana (Nov. 8, 2006)
GAB --
You sure can write a beautiful web site. Too bad most of those who read it won't
really do anything. We are now of the "me" generation. We don't care about anything but ourselves and our own.
There are a few who will try to do something once in a while but they are pathetically
small in number. And most of them don't really take on the important issues, like what you present on this web site.
I just hope it's not a lost cause.
-- Ballina Dirksi
El Paso, Texas (Dec. 22, 2006)
Dear Friends,
It is so good to hear from so many of you and, even though only a
few of you allow me to post your e-mails here on this page, the actual total number of communications is wonderfully large
and well written.
I will continue to post those few who wish to be here and will read
and answer all the others, as I always do. And I will most certainly continue to encourage and assist all who are actually
willing to do something positive to help make a difference.
Let us hope that number will grow. I know it sometimes seems
like the beginning of the end of our nation, but it will actually only be what we decide to make of it. It is up to
us. It is always up to us.
If the "us" we speak of will grow to at least a reasonable number,
it might make a reasonable difference. Will you help to make it so?
Most sincerely,
Jonathan West
For the Getting America Back web site,
I hear tell about all sorts of web sites on radio and on TV and even in the bird cage
liners we call our newspapers. But what about THIS web site. It's the finest and most inspirational place I have
ever found and everybody keeps quiet about it.
What are they afraid of? Are they worried that we might get inspired to make a
positive difference? Are they concerned that we might help to bring back our troubled nation?
They shouldn't worry. Most people won't do anything anyway. But I will.
I'll join the few who care enough. I'm with you.
Sincerely,
Tonya Milletto

GAB --
I didn't know there was anybody left out there who gave a damn anymore. The way
things are going, there can't be many of you.
You're a brave bunch, but I don't think it'll do any good. I really believe this
is the beginning of the end for us all. I salute you for your effort and history may have some good words to say about
you few who still fight the good fight, but I see the fall and it's here.

I don't know what got you started in this direction but it's sure a good thing you did.
Everything seems to be falling apart and hardly anybody knows what to do anymore.

it can help at least a little bit.

Getting America Back,
Today is May Day and the demonstrators are out in force, waving their foreign flags and
demanding everything they can think of.
It all make me think about what you wrote in your book about this sort of thing some
time ago and what you have put together here on this web site of yours.
There's a lot to be learned from what you are doing. Do you think anybody cares
or will make any real effort? I sure as hell hope so.
- Frank Malloy
San Diego, CA (May 1, 2007)
Dear Sir,
Does "illegal" mean anything anymore? We have plea bargaining, pardons and now
an amnesty is proposed, which they don't want to call amnesty.
Does that mean that my non-citizen relatives can come to Mexico and sneak across the
border and be able to avoid the long lines and long waiting periods to enter the United States? Is this suddenly
no longer an issue of breaking the law?
Is this a way to get to such a privileged position? Is this the reward for breaking
and entering?
This site shows us so many examples of how the law in America has become a very cruel
joke. You sure had this figured out right. I'm beginning to wonder if another revolution might be all that's left
for us.
-- Name & location withheld by request.
(June 6, 2007)
Dear Friends,
Evolution is what we need, not revolution. We need to help
our nation to evolve forward in very positive ways. Please don't mistake our successful original revolution with any
such possibilities today.
Our original revolution was a rarity. Revolutions are violent,
distructive activities, in most cases, and they seldom succeed. We must do all that we can to solve our problems in
peaceful ways.
That's what this web site is all about. That's what we've got
to learn to do. Don't you agree?
Most sincerely,
Jonathan West
Dear GAB web site,
We've got to make the effort but we can solve our problems in peaceful and successful
ways. One example on this web site that stands out at this time is the page, "We Can Solve The Illegal Alien Problem."
That's the best solution I've ever heard of. That's why it won't have much of a
chance with today's politicians unless we put the pressure on. We've got to do that. We've got to get involved.
I'm going to start making calls and sending emails right now.
Sincerely,
Mellony Sprang
Grand Rapids, Michigan (June 13, 2007)
To "Getting America Back" --
This site is huge and you're adding great new stuff all the time. I don't know
how you do it.
Some of the great new pages I've seen lately include "Developing A Winning Attitude,"
which comes right after the "Home" page, and your "A Few Words of Inspiration" page is another delight. The words
on these two pages are inspirational and the images and the beautiful music has turned those pages into great productions.
Mac Anderson did a great job.
Your "We Can Solve The Illegal Alien Problem" page is the first intelligent approach
I've ever seen for this problem. And your "Lest We Forget" page is something never to be forgotten.
I'll never forget what you are doing here. It can help us to mold a worthwhile
future for everyone.
Best wishes,

Dear GAB Web Site,
Since you have answers that are involved with logic and honorable behavior and clear
thinking, you must understand that such ideas will be greeted in Washington as a bothersome infestation. Intelligent
thinking has no place in today's politics.
You will get nowhere because our leadership, in both parties, is nowhere.
-- James Jones
Nashville, Tennessee (July 9, 2007)
Dear Mr. West,
I don't think Washington really gives a damn about solving the illegal immigrent invasion
of our country. They defeat all those bad bills but they never seem to come up with any actual answers.
Your web site gives a good example of a real answer. Why don't they pay attention?
What's wrong with them?
We need to put the whole bunch out of office and start all over again. Let's
see if we can get them to mow our lawns and clean out our hotel rooms, after we've sent the illegals back to Mexico.

Dear Sir,
You can add my voice to the collection. I don't mind having it known that I care
about what's happening to America. I care about the decline that we are allowing to happen. Keep fighting the
good fight. You're not alone.

Gentlemen,
I am a European who has discovered your American web site and I wanted to write to you
and tell you all that you are a real inspiration.
Many of us had thought that your country had lost it's great spirit and was in decline.
If your web site is an indicator, your nation is on the rise again.
You are the hope of our future. America must remain strong and true to its original
values. Our hearts and hopes are with you.
From,

Dear Editor,
Your web site is loaded with just about everything that one could ever want to help to
clean things up and make things better for us all.
I especially like those inspirational videos that you have available on special pages
throughout the web site. And you offer so many resources and so many other special features.
There is so much that I can't begin to cover it all in one sitting. But that's
all right. I'll be back, again and again. This site is a special place I will always be returning to.
I will also do what I can. I'll learn from this opportunity and I'll do what I
can. I'll add my efforts and together we may all yet prevail.
With good wishes for us all,
Harriet Benton

Dear Sir,
This should be the place where every serious American goes to get involved in active
solutions. With so many pages (I think it's around 40 pages now), and so many disturbing facts, great instruction and
good resources, it's just about the only place like it on the entire Internet.
Other web sites tell us how bad things are. This web site shows us what to do about
it. It's not enough to read all the bad things that are going on and just ring our hands and whimper. We have
to actually get involved. And that's what this web site of yours is all about --- getting involved in solutions.
I commend you for your heroic efforts and am recommending your site to all my friends.
Everybody should know about what you're doing. We've got to spread the word.
Sincerely involved,
J. D. Mainard

Dear Viewers,
Once again I want to thank the many thousands of you out there who
have sent supportive e-mails. I realize that only a tiny fraction of you have requested that your e-mails be posted
here, but your encouraging comments are still very much appreciated.
It is my fervent hope that this interest is being translated into
positive action. That's what's really needed so very much. Your actual involvement is what matters most of
all.
Ulitmately, you are the solution.
Most sincerely,
Jonathan West
Dear Getting America Back web site,
You are an amazing discovery for me. I didn't think there was much of anything
like this left anywhere in America. I had just about given up.
The thing that upsets me now is that most of the media is paying no attention at all
to this amazing effort. What's the matter with those people? Do they not want anything positive done for the benefit
of our nation? Is it some kind of spiritual suicide? What's going on?
It seem like the same sort of thing that other nations have gone through during their
painful decline. Is that what we're in for?
I, for one, won't accept that. I'm not going to be a quitter. I wish you
the best of luck and I'm with you all the way.
Hanging in there,
Makin Ardimus

Dear Sirs,
Your involvement instructions and your resource lists and all the rest is very helpful.
But what about holding my hand and patting me on the head? Are there any Americans left who can function without a parent-like
assistance?
We've now been educated, through the media and through our schools, to depend on others
to do almost everything for us. Is there anyone left who can practice civic involvement without being guided every
step of the way?
I hope and pray you're right in assuming there are still lots of people out
there who can function and think for themselves. If that's true, this web site of yours will be an inspiration for them
and a great tool for them to use.
We'll find out sooner or later if they're really out there. It better be sooner.
Yours truly,

I'm one of those guys you write about who doesn't give a damn and won't do anything.
Why should I? There's only a few of you out there who really care.
Oh, some of you think you care? Okay, tell me what you're doin', not what you're
yapping about. It's what you do that counts, not what you say.
Well, I guess that takes care of most of you, right?

To Jonathan West --
I have written to media that I thought would be really interested in a wonderful web
site that tries to get people involved in solutions. I must be very naive. They don't seem to want to be bothered.
I'll bet none of them have any idea what you have here. What does it take to get
them interested? Do you have to show a naked celebrity or blood and gore or what? What does it take?
I've tried to help. I really have. I realize you've got a lot of people from
all over the country visiting your site all the time, but there could be many thousands more if the media gave a damn.
My friends tell me the media is a joke. They're a waste of time. Is that
the way it is? What's the answer? Is there an answer?
Yours truly,
Douglas Clark

Well, another year has roared by with its ubiquitous ambiguities and
its many other cacophonous confusions. In words stripped of such polysyllabic nomenclature, it might best be simply
said that it was loud, sometimes very dangerous, demanding and often at cross purposes.
And as in classic literature, it could be said to have been the best
of times and the worst of times. It certainly showed us elements of both. We seem to be in a chaotic time
of transition and America may be facing a perilous future as a result of changing national attitudes.
More than ever before, our efforts toward positive directions are desperately
needed. Thankfully, the vast majority of the thousands of e-mails we receive, suggest understanding and positive intent,
as illustrated by the examples we publish here.
Very few are disturbing tirades of foul language and naked hate.
But, in today’s society, far too much of that vitriol is becoming more and more evident in our environment.
It is my feeling that there has never been a time in all of our short
history when the need has been so great for Americans to rise and face our destiny with courageous hearts. It is a destiny
that I would like very much to believe can actually become a very special American renaissance.
But, it is up to us to make it what it will be. It is in the
hands of no one else. It is up to us.
– Jonathan West
Dear Mr. West,
Your web site is everything that it should be and more. You tell it exactly the way
it is and then you show us what to do about it. There's nothing else quite like it out there.
Because it's all these wonderful things, it probably won't get very far because good things
like this aren't being supported by enough people in today's lazy, selfish society. But I see you're not giving up anyway.
Great!
I'll add my one little voice and maybe a few others will. I'll do all that I can.
With best wishes,

To the Getting America Back web site,
You've got the answers all right, but not enough of the people are doing anything about
it. So, what's happening? We've lost most of our property rights. Our economy is getting real shaky.
Property values are going down. Our nation has been successfully invaded from the southern border. Our money is
worth less and less in the world market. Jobs are being lost everywhere. We've got idiots running for President
in both parties.
It's all things you said would happen, in your book and on this web site. Did nobody
learn? Are we going to end up deserving what we are getting? Guess so.
-- Franco Becerra

Dear Jonathan West,
I hate to have to say it but your book and this web site were right. Things are really
starting to get bad. The kids are becoming more violent and less moral. The economy is slipping. We have
a Moslem trained avowed socialist in a strong bid for the presidency. Most of the media has been taken over.
You warned that things like this would start to happen if we didn't get our act together. It's
like you said. It's happening.
I'd do what I can but nobody cares any more. There are some like you who care and
who do whatever can be done, but there's such a small number like that.
I'd better try to help, too.
Yours,
Joseph Wheiler

Dear G. A. B. Web Site,
I can't believe all the super pages on your site. And your latest, that "Rules for
Revolution," is the greatest eye-opener since Pearl Harbor. And all those other pages go beyond anything I would ever
have expected.
You must have great writers or you're just really inspired. Whatever it is, you got
it. What's so frustrating is that most people don't have any idea that something like this exists.
I guess that figures. The media is so sound asleep, it doesn't seem to know much
of anything that's going on out here where the real world is. Anyway, you got me and I'm tellin' everybody I can.
Guess that's all anybody can do. We got to start a grass-roots movement.
So, here I go.

SPECIAL NOTATION:
Since this page is getting quite full with so many letters (even though I have placed
only a fraction of the e-mails received), I am now going to show only one every month or two.
It is hoped that this will not dampen your enthusiasm and that you will be (or continue
to be) actively involved in efforts to help bring about postive solutions to our many problems.
Remember, we're counting on you.

I get frustrated doing what I can and finding that there is such a small number of us.
Then I look at history and I see that most of the time there are very few that end up making history.
I guess we shouldn't get too discouraged. That seem to be the way things are.

Mr. West of Getting America Back web site,
I've just looked at your new page on 'Concerns In 2008'. You've done an amazing job
of investigating that Obama. I knew about some of those things but you got it all.
If America doesn't take these things seriously and he gets elected, we may never recover
from it. Keep telling the truth. It's all we can do.

Dear Sir,
Your book and your web site tell it like it is and show us how it's going to be, if we
don't do something about it. But most people don't want to pay attention to this stuff. They'll look the other
way and let the worst just happen. And then they get all upset and wonder why.
Don't they know it's them? It's all of them who won't do a damn thing.

I don't know how you do it. You have this web site that must have taken a lot of
time (and probably some money, too) to give us all this help. You did all of this and then what happened? Not
much so far.
I don't have the patience that you have. You keep on trying. I couldn't do
that. But you have shamed me, and maybe now I'll really get involved, at least a little bit.
That's all it takes. If enough of us get involved just a little bit, that adds up.
Maybe that could begin to do it. What do you think?

It's Christmas time and almost a new year and you offer the best present anyone could ever

To this great American web site,
You've got one of the best web sites going because you don't spend all your time wringing
your hands or complaining. You give us some good specifics and then you show us a number of things we can do as individuals.
Writing to or calling the idiots that somehow got elected, helps. But I see the site
doesn't stop there. There are plenty of other things we can get involved in or start for ourselves.
I like the inspirational videos, too. That's a great idea putting pages like that together.
You've done a lot of work. Hope people don't just look and not get involved.
An active American,

Dear Mr. West,
Your new layout looks really good and makes it much easier to get around the site, which
is really big.
The "Concerns" pages that lead off after the Home page --- those lay out some of the best
material I've seen that presents a summary of the current mess. It's a welcome addition.
The thing is, will many pay attention and get started on something? If their wallets
get thin enough, they might. But that might not work either. We're not the same people we once were.

Letter to GAB --
Unbelievable site. Your Concerns in 2008 & 2009 are like nothing I've seen anywhere
else. Your "Something You Have GOT To See" page has one of the most inspirational videos I've ever seen about what's
going on.
I got all fired up and called the networks and metro papers and news magazines. No
one seemed interested in what you've shown us. Guess it's not very politically correct for them. They don't want
to let others know anything about it.
Where am I living, in Russia? What's happened to us? No wonder everything's
going to hell. How else could it go?

Getting America Back ---
I hear about the tax protests and the letter writing but the Administration and the Congress
are paying no attention. The only thing that will work is to march on Washington and take back our government.
They're supposed to work for us. They're supposed to follow Constitutional law.
They've taken our country over. If enough of us want it back and are willing to force the issue, we may get it back.
If there aren't enough real Americans left, it's all over.

Dear Jonathan West,
The peaceful demonstrations all over America on April 15th were outstanding. It really
showed how concerned many in our country are. And I realize your web site was an inspiration for so many of us.
It helped to get us up off the couch and get involved.
I can see you are also continuing to be out front and helping to make things happen.
You are an inspiration to us all. And I'm so proud of the growing numbers who are getting involved and I'm proud to
be a part of it.
Thank you for your inspiration. We won't let you down.

Your web site just gets better and better. Now I see you have pages that update what's

Now we can all get involved. Now there's no excuse to not be active.

Dear Mr. West,
I've seen a lot of web sites and some patriot sites are good. Your site is amazing.
Don't know how you can afford the time and money it's gotta take to do it. Your book
can't be selling well enough to take care of the cost. You offer so much of what's in the book, on the web site for
free. Don't know how you can do it.
Just hope you can get some of the people off the couch or out of the recliner or from wherever
it is they've been hiding. I wish you luck. You're going to need all you can get.

FINAL NOTATION: We have published a few samplings of letters received
from 2005 through the first half of 2009. Of course there have been thousands of others as well. For the most
part, they are all pretty much the same, and we very much appreciate each and every one of them.
Because we are so busy with all the updates and contact pages and such,
and with calls from all over our nation, we have far too little time to continue this page beyond this point. It would
only be a continuation of what you have already seen so far and we really do need to concentrate on the more immediate
and vital activities in so many other sections of this web site.
We know you appreciate this and will understand that we are no longer
posting letters on this page. We will keep those we already have. We want you to be able to see the fine reactions
we have gotten from all over our nation.
Thank you for your interest in this page. Please do follow the
action and the instructional information and the many other resources on this web site. It's where we can all keep up
with what's going on and find out what we can do about it.
See you around !
