TO BE REMEMBERED!
Brief news of special interest.
Starting in April, 2001 and moving forward from there.
These are just a tiny few of the many thousands of examples out there.
JOHN LEO REPORTS FROM "U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT.
It has been revealed recently,
in Washington, D.C., that a number of policemen "pounced" on a little 12-year-old girl and hauled her off in handcuffs.
Her crime? Eating a French fry on the Metro!
As John Leo put it, "The French-fry felon,
Ansche Hedgepeth, was caught in a weeklong crackdown by undercover Metro cops. After cuffing her, the police pulled
the laces out of her tennis shoes, possibly to prevent her from hanging herself out of shame and guilt for what she had done."
He further reported that this poor little
girl was frisked and then hauled in to a police station where she was held, interrogated, fingerprinted and then booked.
How interesting. This sort of thing
is going on while, at the same time, any number of very serious crimes are being ignored in various other jurisdictions.
Equal justice under the law? We're a long way from that, to be sure.
A SHOCKING STORY OF TODAY'S AMERICA.
A young mother is driving down her neighborhood
street with her two little children (age 3 and 5), looking for a lost toy. None are wearing seat belts for they are
moving slowly along, with no traffic, at 15 miles per hour.
A police patrol car happens upon the
scene and pulls them over for seat belt violations. Then he handcuffs the mother, in front of the very frightened little
children and takes her away to jail for this violation, leaving her traumatized kids crying in the custody of a concerned
neighbor.
This event not only happended here in
America (in Lago Vista, Texas in March, 1997), the U.S. Supreme Court recently (in 2001) upheld the officer's action, even
while admitting his appallingly bad judgement. "Unreasonable seizure," as noted in the Fourth Amendment of our Constitution,
was not considered as relevant.
Both liberal and conservative judges
were in on this one, as the trend of violence moves us further and further toward becoming a police state.
DEATH IN AN AMERICAN COURTROOM.
The following is a report by "HALT,"
(an organization of Americans for legal reform) as published in their "Legal Reformer" publication for the Winter of 2002:
"In the Spring of 2001, 'The Legal Reformer'
reported on the case of Robert Waters, who collapsed in a courtroom and died ninety minutes later in front of District of
Columbia Superior Court senior judge Tim Murphy. The Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure voted to reinstate
Murphy to the bench as a senior judge without a reduction in his $120,000 salary. Fourteen days after the Nov. 13 decision,
Murphy returned to the bench.
"After gasps for air, screams for assistance,
and requests for medical attention, Waters was allowed to lie on the floor of the courtroom as Murphy indifferently explained,
'Well, if you'd quit yelling, maybe you could get some air.' Ten minutes later, Waters was dragged to a cellblock
by U.S. Marshals where he died.
"...Apparently, Murphy did not consider
his code of Judicial Conduct applicable with regard to this 'street person.' The Commission, however, found him in violation
of the 'applicable provisions of the Code of Judicial Conduct,' which, 'eroded public confidence in the judiciary,' but nonetheless
reinstated him."
No, this didn't happen somewhere else.
This happened here in America, where a number of changes are taking place, as you may have noticed.
(NOTE: The "HALT" organization is one
of the groups featured on our "Other Groups" page of this site, under the subtitle: "Reestablishing Justice in America's Legal
System.")
THE FRIGHTENING SIDE OF LAS VEGAS.
In the summer of 2002, Thomas Dykens
of Williamsport, Pennsylvania was visiting in the vicinity of the "Western Hotel and Bingo Parlor" in downtown Las Vegas when,
after using a nearby automatic teller machine, he inadvertently left his wallet on the roof of his car. Michael Payne,
a soft-drink deliveryman found the wallet and, being a responsible person, he turned it in at the hotel. (Something
we would like to think all of us would be willing to do.)
What happened next may surprise you,
unless you are becoming aware of what we are beginning to become as a nation. The security guard took Mr. Payne into
custody for a notable period of time and then finally let him go with the stern warning that he was trespassing and was now
banned from ever returning to the "Western Hotel and Bingo Parlor" and its casino.
It would seem that they were investigating
the possibility of the wallet as having been stolen. This, in spite of the fact that Mr. Dykens had clearly stated what
had actually happened. (NOTE: This story was first revealed by the Associated Press.)
What is not generally known,....this
sort of heavy handed police state activity occurs quite often in the Navada casinos. They have become almost a police
state unto themselves. All too often they seem to be beyond the law.
Consider yourself warned.
THE LEGAL DICTATORSHIP MARCHES ON.
On Jan. 12, 2005, the Associated Press
reported that in Hemepstead, New York, two fellows told the lawyer joke, "How can you tell when a lawyer is lying? --- His
lips are moving."
This is not, in itself, so unusual an
event, but it occurred outside a courthouse in Nassau County, Long Island, and a lawyer heard them and made a complaint to
court officials. The fellows who told the joke were promptly arrested.
In more and more places in America, this
seems to be the way we now are doing things. Perhaps we had better all start whispering to one another and watch out
for who might be nearby. Welcome to the new America.
NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED?
On Feb. 5, 2005, the Associated
Press (and later a few other publications) told the story about two very loving Durango, Colorado teen-age girls
who wanted to surprise their neighbors one evening recently with packets of home made chocolate chip and sugar cookies.
They included red and pink paper hearts that they wrote on, saying, "Have a great night."
One 49 year old neighbor, who evidently
assumes every shadow is an unfriendly, personal threat, fled her home, checked herself in to a neighborhood hospital the next
day and then filed civil charges against the wonderful little girls. By entering the legal system, the girls fates
were sealed.
Judge Douglas Walker brought the law
down upon the frightened girls with an order for them to pay almost $900 in claimed medical bills from the confused woman.
(The teens' families had offered to pay the woman's medical bills, but she didn't feel their apologies were sincere. She
preferred to sue the girls in court.)
The girls cried and cried. They
just couldn't understand how such a thing could happen. They didn't know how things have been changing here in America,
did they?
SUPREME COURT ENDS PROPERTY RIGHTS.
On June 23, 2005, a day that
will live in infamy, our United States Supreme Court took upon itself the task of once more conducting judicial legislation
and decided that local governments in America will be allowed to continue to force property owners out, to the benefit of
other private individuals, groups or developers who want their property.
The 5 to 4 ruling enables eminent domain to become an even
greater instrument of plunder, as we continue down the road to our developing dictatorship.
As the Washington Post reported on June 24th, "Opponents, including
property-rights activists and advocates for elderly and low-income urban residents, argued that forcibly shifting land
from one private owner to another, even with fair compensation, violates the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution, which prohibits
the taking of property by government except for 'public use.' "
And as Justice Sandra Day O'Connor wrote in her dissent,
"The specter of condemnation hangs over all property. Nothing is to prevent the State from replacing any Motel 6 with
a Ritz-Carlton, any home with a shopping mall, or any farm with a factory."
The nightmare continues.
NO PROTECTION FROM HOME INVASIONS?
As the wire services reported, on July 7, 2005, shortly before
midnight on June 28th, two armed men showed up at the home of Claudia Santana (in Rutherford, NJ) and demanded her identification
(after flashing a badge). Even though she produced everything from her Social Security card, a New York driving permit
(with photo), and a permanent resident card, the men insisted she was someone else.
She called 911, but the men (bounty hunters) told the officers,
when they arrived, that she was lying. She ended up being taken to the local police station (in Dover, New Jersey) and
finally released out into the lonely street, at that location, in the middle of the night.
Is there nowhere one is safe? Evidently not.
ILLEGAL ALIENS TAKE AMERICAN'S PROPERTY.
It's hard to believe, but a small Arizona ranch has just
been turned over to two illegal aliens because a Texas judge decided to issue a major judgment on a civil lawsuit in which
the illegals claimed they were "harmed" while being detained for proper legal detention. (It is our understanding that
"harmed" was a very loose term in this instance.)
Large amounts were won against others who were also trying
to protect their property and the border area in general. All of this goes on while, at the same time, sometimes violent
protesters against volunteer civilian patrols continue to thrive, without legal restraint.
Is it all over for us? It really does seem so, doesn't
it?
THE OPPRESSION GROWS.
Imagine an oppressive regime in which workers are forced,
by a judge's decision, to have a part of their earnings taken from them and used to fund political purposes that they do not
agree with. Imagine this and you have the ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Morrison C. England Jr. (and reported
by the Associated Press on Nov. 5, 2005).
It was reported that, "The (California) state employees union
can collect extra money to fight two ballot measures from workers who had objected to having their dues used for political
purposes."
The judge made the decision, the money was used, and the
ballot measures were defeated. So much for a free and equally measured electoral system. Welcome to the world
of oppressive regimes.
AN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS STORY.
An Associated Press story, released on Christmas
Day, 2005, tells of a 69 year old man, jailed for more than a year in Texas recently, without ever having been charged and
without ever having even seen a lawyer.
His name is Walter Mann and he was finally released on Dec.
16th, after spending more than twice the time he would have had to serve if he had ever actually been convicted for contempt-of-court,
which was the original charge.
And why was he charged and jailed? His 13-year old
son had assaulted him and was subsequently sent to juvenile detention. Then the court ordered the father to pay $50
a month for the son's housing in juvenile detention. Since the father was unemployed and disabled, he was unable to
make the required payments.
The result was that the prosecutor had the man brought before
a judge to be held in contempt and the judge had him incarcerated. That was in September of 2004.
How did he finally get out? A cellmate finally told
an attorney about the situation. If it wasn't for that, he might still be there, with no charges and no lawyer.
Didn't the system know what was happening? Of course it
did. Dallas County Sheriff's Department spokesman, Don Peritz was quoted as saying, "We knew he was there." and "We
hold them until the judge says to hold them no longer."
Merry Christmas.
THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF OUR LANGUAGE?
As reported in the Washington
Times (3/13/06), Mike Gray of Littleton, Colorado works for the Arapahoe County Road and Bridge Department and, in his spare
time, he operates a small lawn care business. Since he felt that his fluent English was a great asset, he put a sign
on his trailer that said "Lawn Services Done With Pride By An English Speaking American."
His county bosses have threatened to terminate him, even
after his 16 years of good service, unless he covers up the message. The Washington Times quoted his supervisor's letter
which stated that he had violated "...guidelines which ensure a workplace free from harassment..." His supervisor, Monty
Sedlak further noted that, "Some of your conduct [...] is reprehensible and discriminatory to our non-English speaking and/or
Hispanic work force."
Mr. Gray was reported to have stated that he doubted
that his trailer with that sign, which he parks in the employee's parking lot when he is at work, would ever offend anyone
in the department because all of the employees are American citizens and speak English.
The sign also shows an American flag. Perhaps that
must be eliminated as well? In any case, maybe we had better be careful about showing any pride in our national
language. Consider this to be just one more internal attack on the heritage and principal language of
our nation.
As other languages begin to dominate in various inner-cities
in our nation, we could be witnessing the beginning of the death of our national language, just as Rome experienced it
when that empire fell so long ago. This is how it starts.
THE RAPE OF OUR CHILDREN.
A little bit of attention (but
not through the usual media sources) is beginning to shine a harsh light on dismissals and light sentences for serious sex
offenders. The O'Reilly Factor, on the Fox Cable News Network (on and about March 14, 2006) and various
dependable internet sources are beginning to reveal how judges like Vermont's Judge Edward Cashman sentenced a repeating
child rapist to sixty days in jail (extended to a little longer period only after a strong public outcry).
Others such crimes of the courts have come to light since
then (thanks to Bill O'Reilly), such as Ohio's Judge John Connors allowing a convicted sex predator to get probation with
a comfortable home detention. We also understand this is only one of 16 sex offenders he has on probation currently.
All of this from a judge with a serious personal DUI background. (We also understand he released one drunk driver early
from prison in spite of the killing of two young adults while the drunk was driving.)
Of course this is not a new phenomenon. There are so
many other cases, such as the female teacher in Florida who received three years of house arrest and seven years probation
(Nov., 2005) after having sex multiple times with a 14-year-old student. That isn't the last you'll hear about this
or a lot of other cases like this.
But the problem of such cases goes on, as we discover just
how seriously our justice system has deteriorated. And there seem to be no end in sight.
THE DECLINE CONTINUES.
Now, in the middle of April, 2006, with crosses
threatened throughout the nation, attacks on American values continue to escalate. In a California high school (Fallbrook
H.S.), student Malina Fontana was taken to an assistant principal's office by a security guard and written up in an incident
report that has now gone into her record. What had she done? She was found to have a small American flag tucked
into her pocket.
In another incident, the "Comedy Central" TV cable channel
banned the showing of an image of the Islamic prophet Muhamad on their "South Park" show. (Muslims believe that physical
representations of their prophet is blasphemous.) However, during the Christmas season they were happy to feature an
image of Jesus Christ defecating on President Bush and the American flag.
The slow but methodical deconstruction of America continues.
DESTROYING THOSE WHO WOULD PROTECT US.
Stephanie Mohr, a highly honored
young police officer, was on patrol with her trained police dog in Maryland back in 1995. She confronted two suspects
on a store roof. One of them made a move to flee.
Stephanie released her dog to perform the standard "bite
and hold" action the dog was trained for. The suspect was properly detained and arrested.
The suspect pleaded guilty in court for illegally entering
the United States, was also changed with 4th degree burglary and his partner in crime was charged with the selling of crack
cocaine. Both were convicted and deported.
Five years later, the U.S. Department of Justice decided
to charge her with "police brutality" and brought her to court, where she was acquitted by a jury (11 to 1). Special
interest groups charged racism and the Justice Department conducted a second trial, this time with a jury stacked with sympathetic
minorities.
The young lady, the mother of a little boy, was summarily
convicted and sentenced to prison for 10 years! She has been there ever since.
(A more detailed story of this event can be found on the
page on this site titled, "A Terrible Example In Today's America." You'll want to read it and see what might be able
to be done about it.)
A MAJOR EVENT FOR 2009 --
Here is a video of something that could be of great importance
to us all at this time. It was not what he said he was when he was running for President. It is what he now seems
to be saying he is, now that he has been elected.

all.
