Crisis and Renewal?
Jan., 2009. We understood
we were to be given a new government that would show us how to conserve energy and taxpayer's funds and we were also told
we would be given a government that was not part of the old establishment. And all of this would involve people free
of questionable behavior. Remember all of that? Of course you do.
And what has happened so far? The Obama inauguration produced
an almost unbelievable, record-breaking "carbon footprint" of enormous size and at considerable expense to American taxpayers.
In addition, we find an exceptionally large number of Bill Clinton's
top people now firmly entrenched in most of the highest positions in the new government.
And we see Obama's pick to run the Justice Department is Eric H.
Holder Jr. This is the man who guided the pardon of Marc Rich, who's actions had resulted in the biggest tax-fraud case
in our nation's history.
And we see Obama's pick as the Secretary of the Treasury (which oversees
the IRS), is Tim Geithner, who we discover failed to pay over $34,000 in taxes for four years in a row.
And of course there's more. This is just an interesting sampling
of what we're getting. So much for campaign rhetoric and heartfelt promises.

Welcome To The Socialist States of America?

Feb., 2009. It was clearly predicted
in the book "Good-bye, America?" (in 1999) and in other works before and since and in a few web sites such as "GettingAmericaBack.org".
But it was ignored by most of the American media, and therefore, also by most of the American people.
What was it that was withheld from the public in such an underhanded, sinister way?
It was the unacceptable fact that, if we didn’t take steps to heal our festering economic wounds and control those on
the left who were eagerly gnawing at our foundation, we would truly start to become a genuine socialist state.
Those of us trying so hard to make the clarion call about our pending fate, were ignored
or derided as unsophisticated alarmists (or far worse). Most of us were willing to endure the punishment because we
could clearly see what was coming.
In recent times it began to become a little more obvious as active members of both major
parties participated in the formation of ever greater government collectivism. But even then, most folks either whined
a bit and worried somewhat or just looked the other way.
We all should eventually have seen where we were headed and done everything possible to
raise the alarm and reverse the downward spiral, but we did not. (At least the vast majority of us did not attempt to
do so.)
So now it has finally become obvious, without any doubt, what the price is that we are
beginning to pay for all that we did not see or would not see and would not do. And the February 16, 2009 issue of "Newsweek"
magazine has now made it crystal clear to even the most dense among us.
The front page headline blared, "WE ARE ALL SOCIALISTS NOW." The related lead article
then filled in some of the information. Of course they left out important details concerning many key causes for our
gradual demise as a free enterprise nation, but they did suggest enough for those who are willing to do the due diligent research
that is required to get a full and reasonably balanced result.
To be sure it is a historic moment in our history. But do not expect us to regain
our freer and more enterprising society. Expect instead, a dismal and highly discouraging, ever-growing central government
— a government that must become more and more a special kind of dictatorship that is necessary to properly facilitate
such a massive control of our wealth as a nation.
That is the nature of a socialist state. That is our future, unless a miracle of
positive change should prove to be possible. We will see what time will tell.
The Deepening Dark Days
March, 2009. As we descent further into
the turmoil of the new administration, we see more serious factors emerging, from the first days of the new regime through
this third month of the year.
We recall how Obama, the campaigner, was so quick to tell us that he had no special
sympathetic leanings toward the Muslim ways. He also told us how important quality, unblemished appointments would be
for his new administration.
He also told us how important fiscal responsibility would be in the new government
and how he would offer financial aid for the average, responsible citizens who found themselves in dire circumstances.
And he was so quick to assure us that he was not planning notable new taxing consequences. There would also be full
transparency of the legislative and executive processes. The American people were to be kept fully informed. And
we would have a new era of non-partisanship.
THE MUSLIM LEAN. It began with Obama’s very first major television
interview, since becoming the President, which was with the Arabic Al Arabiya news channel, not an American network.
And then there as the announcement of the closing of the Guantanamo holding facility. And then there was the termination
of the military tribunal of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the man believed responsible for the planning and coordination of the
bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, which killed 17 American service personnel.
And then Obama appointed the failing GE CEO to his economic advisory group. (GE
was doing notable business with Iran, as you may know.) And now much of the apparatus that has protected us, since 9-11,
is being disassembled. And on and on it goes.
DISHONORABLE APPOINTMENTS. Of course there is our new Treasury Secretary,
Timothy Geithner who, as a recent serious tax delinquent, is now responsible for the I.R.S. It was also discovered that
he was the one who put together the financial bail-out for A.I.G., with all of those massive foreign and domestic
bonuses that have caused such an outcry, even from the many politicians who either knew about the massive bonuses beforehand
or who aided in their legislative approval. (These were bonuses that were known about in the latter part of last year
— when corrective changes could have been made.)
Among the several who were not confirmed for high level appointments, due to "tax
problems," were Tom Daschle, Hilda L. Solis and Nancy Killefer. And there is Obama’s third choice for Commerce
Secretary. That would be Gary Locke, who did his best to work around campaign finance and conflict-of-interest laws
and regulations and also had some questionable Chinese donors and other embarrassments.
And let us not forget Charles Freeman Jr., who Obama wanted as Chairman of the
National Intelligence Council. This is the man who, among other things, is the President of the Middle East Policy Council
(Saudi funded) and who served on an advisory board of the Chinese government owned, "China National Offshore Oil Corporation."
No conflicts of interest with these positions, right?
And the number of lobbyists who have been worked into the new administration is
now almost two dozen. It has become obvious enough and bad enough that the prestigious "Citizens for Responsibility
and Ethics" has felt it necessary to take the new regime to task on this issue. It has become a real scandal and one
that both the administration and most of Congress would like to cover over as much as possible.
And then there is the uncomfortable fact that Phoenix, Arizona has become the
city with the second highest kidnaping rate in the world, second only to Mexico City. It should also be noted that almost
100% of these kidnappings in Phoenix, along with a considerable amount of additional crimes, are related to Hispanic drug
gangs and illegal alien infiltrations. In fact, this criminal invasion is a very major problem for the state, which
neither the state or the federal authorities have been able to deal with successfully.
So what has Obama done? He has appointed the Governor of Arizona, Janet
Napolitano to the post of Secretary of Homeland Security. The record of failure is evidently the qualification that
is necessary.
There have also been a number of appointments of individuals who could only be
said to be "unusually unqualified." A good example of this would be the choice of Shauna Daly as the White House counsel
researcher. This is a post that requires a sophisticated legal background. This is a qualification that is completely
unavailable in this candidate. And this is the way it goes.
THE ECONOMIC FALLACIES. It is our understanding that in many ways,
the economy of our nation was actually in worse condition than it is now, when Ronald Reagan took office. At that time,
the problem seems to have been dealt with successfully by doing the exact opposite of what the Obama administration and his
Congress is doing currently to try and solve today’s economic downturn.
We have had those bailouts. We have had that "Stimulus" bill. We have
had that "Omnibus" bill. In the process, there seems to be an enormous amount of "earmarks/pork," or whatever you want
to call that wasteful giveaway. And in the process we have found the Republicans cut out of any chance to read or amend
the bills and the American people were totally excluded as well. There was absolutely no transparency whatsoever for
the people, until after the actions were taken and the bills were passed. (It should also be noted that Obama attacked
the Republicans for not wanting to pass anything, whereas actually House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had shut them out of the process.)
Both bills are good examples of just how bad it can get. There were just
a little under 9,000 earmarks in that second bill alone. And what were some of these earmarks? There were such
things as $750 million for controversial neighborhood organizing groups (like ACORN). There was $600 million to buy
a new fleet of cars for federal employees. There was $44 million to renovate the headquarters of the Agriculture Dept.
(a department that has more than 2 employees for every one farmer in America). There’s $50 million for the National
Endowment for the Arts. And on and on it went. Louisiana Senator David Vitter identified many of these allocations
as political payoffs to Democratic constituencies.
The "Omnibus" bill was far worse in every way. There’s funds for midnight
basketball. There’s dance lessons for convicts. There’s a bridge to nowhere in the Florida Everglades.
There’s funds for the control of swine odor and manure management. There’s funds for "La Raza," an Hispanic
group with strong racist overtones. There’s money to pay for tatoo removal. And there’s a bunch of
money for a new port of entry on the border with Mexico. They need more ways to get in?
With all of this, we should remember that most Washington politicians seem to
have managed to do well for themselves. By way of example, the number one recipient of campaign money from A.I.G. was Senator
Christopher Dodd. And the number two recipient was Mr. Obama himself.
THE MELTDOWN. So where are we now? We have a national debt that
is over 11 trillion dollars. And now the Federal Reserve has authorized a monetary issuance and credit transfers in
the amount of over $1.15 trillion dollars. And what does that actually mean? It simply means we will be printing
over a trillion dollars that has no real basis — it’s not any sort of legitimate loan. It’s just the
printing of paper money and credits that can be expected to be worth less and less in actual purchasing power until, some
day, it may end up being worth no more than the paper it’s printed on.
And just what does this "trillion" number mean? Yes, just what is this big
number we keep throwing around these days? Well, there’s a children’s book that can help you to visualize this
situation. The book is titled, "How Much is a Million?" and after it gets through with examples of this lower amount,
it describes a "trillion" as a visualization of what you would have if a trillion children were able to climb on each other’s
shoulders. They would create a human tower that could almost reach the orbit of the planet Saturn!
I am more inclined toward another example. If you were to go into business
at the time of Christ, and you lost one million dollars every single day, seven days a week, from then until now, you would
not have been able to lose a total of even one trillion dollars!
And now we hear the new budget may include more than $1.5 trillion in new taxes.
And this new budget contains an energy tax hike that will severely impact anyone who drives a car or uses electricity
or natural gas. This will hit everyone. This will hit you. (And just what do you think this will do to the economy?)
NO END IN SIGHT. As if all of that isn’t enough, now we have
the White House hijacking the Census operation. It has been effectively stolen from the more transparent Commerce Department
and deposited in a far more private, secured operation under Obama’s control.
What does this mean? The way areas are counted and/or estimated (in the
census tally) determines the numbers of representatives that various areas of our country are allowed. This is a major control
of our electoral process. This is more important than you might ever imagine.
And there are so many other things going on, from Obama’s reported shabby
treatment of British Prime Minister Gorden Brown, to the administrations announcement of a new policy which strongly suggests
that our government will now be slacking off on a number of enforcement situations with regard to certain dangerous, illegal
drugs.
And of course there are those telling moments when high officials illustrate their
rather low intelligence levels (or so it would seem). A good example of this would be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi talking
about how, if we don’t do what she feels are the things she wants us to do, 500 million Americans could lose their jobs.
I could be a little off on this figure but don’t we have a total of only around 300 million Americans in our nation?
So now what? Well, it seems we are having growing numbers of something like
"Boston Tea Parties" across America. Of course the main media doesn’t seem to want to say much of anything about
such things, but they are beginning to happen.
Who knows what will be next?
And On And On It Goes
April, 2009. This
last month continued to show more signs of national degradation with Obama’s promise that "lobbyists will not be welcome
in my administration," followed by reports that at least a dozen lobbyists have now shown up in important positions in the
new administration. This fact was reported in at least a few responsible publications, including "The Washington Times."
It was also reported that the Federal Reserve Board is "buying" a significant
portion of the new, massive national debt by just simply printing the money required. Economists agree that this can
only end with an extensive monetary inflation that will seriously devalue the purchasing power for all who hold American currency
in any form.
And, at the end of the month, the United Press news wire service noted that Senator
Chris Dodd finally admitted (after a previous denial) that he had agreed to, "...dilute an executive-bonus restriction in
the economic stimulus bill that Congress passed last month. The change allowed AIG to hand out the bonuses."
As April dawns, we find serious concern being expressed by growing numbers, over
what seems to be a definite acceleration toward what is being described as "trans-nationalism." It is defined as a movement
toward the development of an international system that will supersede our national sovereignty and our American Constitution
in many areas — mostly economic at this time.
This new month also reveals Obama administration plans for new bailout initiatives
that will help recipient corporations avoid any restrictions imposed or intended to be imposed. This is designed to protect
such things as the enormous bonuses and other abuses we have become all too familiar with. (As reported in "The Washington
Post" on April 4, 2009.)
It has also been reported that major defense systems are being cut. This was announced
by Obama’s Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Then North Korea launched their big, new missile. Of course Obama
said there would be consequences for North Korea’s action and of course there were. The very next day after North
Korea launched their long-range missile, the Obama administration announced a major reduction of our American missile defense
system.
Following all of that, we are given Obama’s announcement of plans to relax
restrictions on the oppressive dictatorship in Cuba. (There is so much of this sort of thing, we can hardly keep up
with it all.)
And then there is the announcement that various American banking institutions
have been told they must accept bailout funds from the government. If they refuse the funds, and the related
extensive government controls, they are threatened with the damages of extensive government audits — clearly a case
of extortion. (We double checked this, as we do with all of our reports, and we are sure that this is exactly as detailed
here.)
And the next announcement was about the Federal Reserve issuance of several trillion
dollars to particular banking institutions. This was done without any public disclosure of the specific recipients involved,
the terms involved, or any information concerning any possible oversight that might or might not be put in place. So
much for promised government transparency.
It also should be noted that news films showed Obama’s trip to Europe and
the Middle East. And such films clearly showed a very deep bow by our president before the Saudi king. It
was first noted with a bit of concern since no American president had ever done such a thing. It was also at least a
little bit worrisome because of Obama’s previously illustrated predispositions toward the Moslem faith. But it
only became a much bigger issue when the White House chose to lie about what everyone could see had actually happened.
So much for truth and honesty in government.
The White House also was inclined to tout the president’s recent trip as
a huge success. But was this actually the case? There were two needs he had identified as very important. He wanted
to sell the rest of the world leaders on the idea of increased spending by the foreign governments to stimulate the world
economy. That didn’t work. He tried to get greater foreign military participation in the Middle East.
That didn’t work either. We have yet to discover what actual successes were supposed to have occurred.
And now Obama is pushing forward with his plan to initiate amnesty for illegals
who have unlawfully broken into our nation and which also includes a considerable number of individuals for whom additional
criminal ventures serve as a primary occupational activity. It would seem that we first start by rewarding incompetence
(the "bailouts"), and now we plan to reward lawlessness?
The Fox News Network’s "Hannity" show has evidently decided that enough
is enough. Sean Hannity has introduced "6 Ideas To Save America." This covers our economic recovery, the
educational system, housing in America, energy independence, our healthcare, and illegal immigration. (We will do our
best to obtain the full transcript for you, or at the very least, a good summation.)
It should also be noted that a massive Communist Chinese industrial espionage
operation has been uncovered here in America. This, along with thousands of Chinese trained "hackers," represent a clear
and present danger. Unfortunately, the Obama administration is reported as showing very little interest in this situation.
And as if all of the above isn’t enough, Joe Biden seems to be at it again.
He is accused of another falsehood. This time it concerns one or more conversations that he claims he had with the former
president George W. Bush. Biden’s propensity for such "creative exaggerations" (to put it politely) are further
documented on our "Concerns In 2008" page.
And now at last, with major economic disasters at our doorsteps, a number of Americans
have finally decided to be concerned enough to actually get involved and voice serious concern. The "tea party" protests
have begun across the nation. With primary promotion by the Fox News Network and secondary reporting on CNN and in at
least a few print publications, the effort (which we also support) seems to have grown to almost 2,000 events by the 15th
of April.
Will that be enough? Not really. It had better be only the beginning
or surely it will be the beginning of the end.
Obama’s appointment of Janet Napolitano to the post of Secretary of the Department of Homeland
Security continues to be a problem for everybody. Her failures as Governor of Arizona are now joined by her department
memo which clearly suggests that citizens who are in favor of 2nd Amendment rights to bear arms, or are concerned
with border security, or who might be otherwise "politically incorrect," might be considered as possibly dangerous "extremists."
She also extended this concern to cover returning military personnel from overseas assignments. Her attempts at backtracking
and apology (after widely expressed concerns were raised) did little to calm the outcry. And next, she was quoted
as making such wild statements as, "To the extent that terrorists have come into our country or suspected or known terrorists
have entered our country across a border, it’s been across the Canadian border." Needless to say, many Canadian
officials and others are more than just a little upset with that statement.
And after that, she announced that she wants to repeal the "Real ID" law that serves as a vital security
element for our southern border and for our nation in just about every area of our country. Some calls have now actually
been made for her resignation.
Other Obama appointments are not faring any better. Rosa Brooks, who has been clearly identified
as a far-left extremist, has now been appointed to an important, sensitive position in the Defense Department. Harold
Koh, who is on record as supporting consideration of other nations’ laws while interpreting our Constitution, has been
appointed as an important legal advisor for the State Department.
Ron Sims, noted for illegal actions and general incompetence in the state of Washington, has been
appointed to the number two position in the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Steve Rattner, found to be
under 3 criminal indictments (as noted in a Wall Street Journal report), was appointed as Obama’s "Car Czar."
And the corrupt appointments continue on.
In other areas — With some states actually refusing to take Federal funds, and the associated
controls that go with all of that, we find the beginning of a growing movement toward a greater separation between a massive
central government and various concerned states.
It has also been made known that our Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, favors the creation of
some sort of global currency, which would then replace the U.S. Dollar in the world marketplace. Only after a considerable
outcry, he has at least temporarily reversed his position.
It should also be noted that Congress is now actively encouraging the shutting down of the successful
charter schools and voucher programs while it continues to throw many billions of dollars at our failing public schools.
It has begun in the District of Columbia. It can be expected to be expanded elsewhere.
And with Obama’s recent foreign "tours," more and more American’s are becoming seriously
disenchanted with our new president’s inclination toward the habit of blaming America for all sorts of things during
his overseas travels. With this, you might also add our president’s clearly defined bow before the Saudi King and his
friendly interactions with brutal Latin dictators.
With Obama now being considered as somewhat of a "paper tiger" on the world stage, the elements of
dangerous instability in North Korea, Pakistan, in hostile Latin American dictatorships, in Africa, and in the Middle East,
are showing us all that they are obviously encouraged to move forward with their perilously aggressive agendas. The
daily news reports are showing us just how frighteningly true this is.
And, by way of example, since nothing of consequence has been done, following North Korea’s
missile launch, the North Korean government has now announced that it is restarting its nuclear program. How nice for
us.
Continuing on — Seeing a little too much negative reaction to his super-spending packages and
his gigantic budget, Obama has announced that he plans to cut about 100 million from that monster budget. Unfortunately,
it represents a tiny drop in the $3.7 trillion budget. It should also be noted that the interest alone on our current
national debt has been calculated to be 1.2 billion dollars every single day!
And what about our taxes? Of course they’re going up in a number of different areas.
And for what we have to pay right now, it has been estimated that 7.6 billion hours will be required as the total time for
all of us (or our tax preparers) to calculate and fill out our yearly Federal and state tax forms.
So, we should not be at all surprised, with all the wild spending and its ultimate burden upon just
about everyone, that we would end up having a spontaneous, grass-roots protest movement growing across America. It is
a natural consequence whose time has come.
And how was it covered? "NBC," "The New York Times" and other notably left-leaning media
sources claimed that these "tea party" protests were primarily initiated and supported by "racists," "extremists," and "rednecks"
and were heavily financed by some sort of conspiratorial right-wing financiers.
This writer is deeply involved with and in contact with approx. 3,000 every-day grass roots folks
all over our nation. They are decent, down-to-earth, good American souls who are doing their best to act as local volunteers
and organizers. They are white, black, young, old, male, female, Republicans, Democrats, and independents. They are
"America" and I am deeply offended by the left-wing politicians and their related media. They have, once again, chosen
to lie. This writer strongly feels that is a very, very shameful thing they are doing. It is the height of dishonesty.
Of course one of the results of all of this can be seen in the attempts of Senator John Kerry to try
and get government financial support for "The New York Times" other paper, "The Boston Globe," a paper that also has a long
record of support for Sen. Kerry and far-left propaganda in general.
If that isn’t enough for you, let us add the fact that it has been reported that the financial
disaster, "GE," has been a major Obama and general left-wing supporter, through its "NBC" media system, and now could be in
line for even more "bail-out" type funding. And, it should also be added, "GE" has miraculously managed to position
itself in the front of the line for some really lucrative government contracts. Why are we not surprised?
On still other matters — A number of "TARP" investigations are under way for waste, fraud and
general abuse of issued funds. This is being found throughout our current government procedures.
It has also come out that certain politicians now suggest that "water-boarding" is a prosecutable
offense that should be aimed at the previous administration. This, in spite of the fact that many of the accusers are
politicians who were kept up to date on such procedures during the previous administration and did not indicate concern or
opposition at that time.
And what was gained from such techniques? In the words of Dennis Blair, The Director of National
Intelligence (from his statement of April 16, 2009): "High value information came from interrogations in which methods
were used and which provided a deeper understanding of the al Qaeda." It has also been revealed that such "methods"
resulted in the exposing and halting of what would have been a 9/11 type of attack on Los Angeles, among other places.
A further assessment indicates that, with all of that and now with the Administration’s release
of very sensitive intelligence materials, our intelligence community is being thrown into total disarray. In other words,
this puts our nation in great peril. Perhaps the greatest peril we have faced in many years.
Also, this month, it was reported that David Kellermann, acting CFO at "Freddie Mac," committed suicide.
He evidently hanged himself in the basement of his home. Many are asking, what is it that he might have known
that we didn’t know? If things go as they usually do these days, we will probably never find out.
As we move on, we discover that Senator Feinstein is suggested as having a serious conflict of interest
that has provided a substantial government contract for her husband’s company. Don’t expect anything much
to happen concerning this issue. Too many other elected officials have similar problems.
A recent estimate indicates that as much as 30% of American business is now under the financial control
of the government. This is through such implements as bail-outs, other loans, special grants, government contracts,
mortgage relief programs, new regulations, financial insurance programs, special guarantees, new controls, etc., etc.
It has also been revealed that "someone" in our government is alleged to have applied inappropriate
pressure to ensure the merger of Merrill Lynch with the Bank of America by withholding revelations about Merrill Lynch’s
exceptionally bad financial condition.
Other financial information includes the "Washington Post" report that, "In its first two months,
the government’s signature initiative to support consumer lending has fallen well short of expectations, deploying only
a fraction of the amount officials had hoped to extend..." (As published on April 23, 2009.)
And as if all that has happened isn’t enough, we hear that the President seems to be suggesting
a plan to raise taxes on private, charitable giving. It comes at this time of particularly great need and it will seriously
deprive nonprofit groups of funds that they desperately require.
As this month slowly winds down toward its end, we find left-wing elements in Congress and in the
American media pushing hard to vilify, condemn, and push for the prosecution of the previous administration for war time military
interrogation techniques without making mention of the many Democrat politicians who were fully informed of such practices
in multiple briefings going back several years, and had accepted such techniques.
Also, Janet Napolitano continued to confuse just about everyone. First, she said that one might
have the Swine Flu for a few days before symptoms would become obvious. Then she said that somewhat passive screenings
were being applied at the Mexican border, with an effort to watch for people showing symptoms.
It was also reported that the federal government now evidently owns at least 50% of General Motors.
This was accomplished by the government taking control of 50% of the corporate stock. Expect this pattern to continue.
And we have been informed that the frightening "Air Force One" buzzing of Lower Manhattan for a "photo
op" is estimated to have cost approximately $300,000. No one may ever know why they just didn’t use a "Photo Shop"
image application to give them the same result, with no panic and at a fraction of the cost.
Information has leaked out that suggests the new government run health care plan will provide what
will be touted as universal coverage. What they are not planning to tell you is that there will be no guarantees of
universal access.
We hear about another rejection of federal stimulus money, this time by Warren County, Ohio.
This is not the only example of monetary rejection and the ruling party is not happy about this at all.
Vice President Joe Biden has now added his latest personal misstatement to the official government
rhetoric on the "Swine Flu" epidemic. He was quoted as saying that Americans should stay away from airplanes and subways.
His statement was quickly retracted.
And finally, we have been informed that the UAW union might be expected to become the new major owner
of the Chrysler corporation. This to be made possible with the union’s gain of 55% of the corporate stock, at
the expense of the taxpayers.
So much for one of the worst months in our nation’s political history.
And The Dismantling of America Continues
May, 2009. Obama announces that he wants his appointments to
the Supreme Court to reflect concerns for those he feels to be less advantaged. Some scholars are deeply concerned that
this clearly constitutes judicial legislation, which clearly breaks Constitutional law.
China has announced that it is pulling back from any further massive borrowing by the United States.
(China is the largest U.S. creditor, holding $744 billion of our current debt.) Other foreign lenders are beginning
to do the same.
Charges mount concerning massive voter registration fraud and other profound irregularities in the
"ACORN" organization. Charges have been filed in 8 states so far. And this is that organization that Obama had
worked for and with and which became an important organizing supporter for his presidential campaign. And yes, taxpayer
funds have been funneled into the group, directly and indirectly to the tune of over 10 million in government grants.
Once again it was shown, in videos and interviews, that Mexicans in America have been involved in
a considerable number of May Day demonstrations and marches. This, we have seen, often includes the display of Mexican
flags at many of these events, along with chants about alleged Mexican rights over American lands.
Obama’s soft overseas policy continues to pay off. As stated by our Joint Chiefs Chairman
Admiral Michael Mullen, "China is developing capabilities that are very maritime and air focused ... and in many ways very
much focused on us."
With America no longer holding a dominant position internationally, we are not only finding China
but also Iran and other less than friendly nations making strong overtures and numerous inroads into Latin America.
The vacuum left by the United States is slowly being filled.
Figures are flying in all directions but it does seem to have been reliably estimated that Obama’s
administration, with the most willing help of Congress, has put us into a debt that is greater than all other presidential
administrations combined. It also represents 4 times the debt that was acquired during the Bush
years and this was all done within the first 100 days of the current administration.
Now it has been revealed, on national television (the Fox Network), that 8 former leaders and organizers
of the "ACORN" organization have quit and are in the process of suing "ACORN" on the claim that the organization has been
taken over by extremist interests that have been directing the group in fraudulent voter activities. There is also a
very large question about where the massive funds have gone. (Much of that money, of course, was federal taxpayer funds.)
The decline of the Governor of California is punctuated by his suggestion of a dialogue about the
possible legalization of general public use of marijuana and possibly other drugs for state taxing purposes. The governor,
like so many others in the state, seem totally uneducated in the horrific truths about such drugs as "pot." One of many available
examples: Marijuana cigarettes are reliably reported to contain over 10 times the cancer causing carcinogens than normal cigarettes
have been found to contain.
A rather unbelievable Supreme Court decision has ruled that it is not a crime to steal someone’s
identity if the thief doesn’t actually know that it is the identity of a specific victim. This protects illegal
aliens from the felony of stealing the identities of others. This, in effect, legalizes a very serious growing crime
that has caused losses and general havoc in the lives of countless millions of Americans everywhere.
Growing national concern about the insane level of spending by our federal government has prompted
the White House to issue (and call attention to) a tiny ½ of 1 percent reduction in the current budget. And what was
cut? Death benefits for police officer’s families when the officer is killed in the line of duty; Special
equipment that can detect nuclear bombs and similar devices at our sea ports of entry; Federal funding to states
to cover the burdensome incarceration of illegal aliens, and the list goes on with more of the same.
Now we hear that the heavily indicted "ACORN" organization, and/or a sub-division thereof, may be
awarded the task of census taker recruitment by our federal government. We’d like to see how they explain this.
Quite a few people throughout America have stated that they are not at all surprised that Obama did
not follow the presidential tradition of public participation in the National Prayer Day (on May 7th).
General Motors suggests that they will be seriously considering a significant increase in the production
of some of its vehicles in other countries. (GM now produces approx. 15% of its vehicles in foreign nations.)
A recent video has surfaced and has been closely examined in which Howard Dean clearly said, "We
had enough capitalism in the last 8 years." As we know, the trend away from American free enterprise is not the
exclusive territory of Mr. Dean.
We watched as an erstwhile comedian at the National Press party said she wishes a conservative talk
show host’s kidneys would fail. We also watched as Obama joined the press corpse in a good laugh over the comment.
From the reports being released, we discover that our new government has decided to change our language
once again. Evidently we are now going to do away with such terms as "Cap & Trade" and "Global Warming." Perhaps
one way to get rid of a problem is to eliminate its name?
Now we are told that the annual budget deficit will clearly surpass $1.8 trillion. It is finally
beginning to be recognized as the largest such deficit in our history, in every way. It is beyond everything that has
come before it. It is beyond imagination.
Our educational institutions evidently don’t wish to be upstaged by thoughtless or illogical
government performances. A good example would be a Pueblo, Colorado school that had an educational assignment for students
to plan a terrorist attack.
It should also be noted that just about a third of our nation’s high school students are failing.
(As pointed out in a recent CNN report.) And, of course, educators keep asking for more and more money, even as the
failures continue unabated.
The pay gap between federal government workers and workers in the private sector is growing considerably.
The "Cato" think tank reports the compensation gap at 102% in favor of the federal employees, even as many feel that the federal
payroll taxes of the rest of us continues to suck us dry.
And once again the "ACORN" organization hits the news, as it becomes the first "Watergate" of the
Obama administration. More charges are being filed and more disenchanted "ACORN" people are coming forward to expose what
is claimed to be a very dishonest operation. More and more are beginning to ask where all the money went.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is under serious examination over the enhanced interrogations that she
now says she "sort of" knew about from various briefings. It seems that she is having a problem keeping her story straight.
More misspent government funds keep coming to light. The latest is U.S. tax dollars being spent to
study and educate prostitutes and other sex workers. That alone might be considered troubling, but it should be noted
that these studies and educational activities are being conducted in foreign nations, at our expense, of course.
Now, after corporate manipulations and takeovers by the federal authorities, this new administration
is turning some of its attention to considerations of a possible cap on earning levels in various areas of the private sector.
The control of our lives moves forward.
In answer to Vice President Biden’s claims of stimulus success, the Associated Press reports
that, "Many of the claims the White House is making are based on anecdotes selected to fit the Obama administration’s
message."
English continues to be reinvented as now our new "Drug Czar" has decided he wants to do away with
the term "War on Drugs." Again we move to solve our problems by defining them away.
Again Speaker Pelosi has problems with what she knew and didn’t know, or did know to some extent,
or heard about, or something. But she has now made it very clear that whatever happened it’s everybody else’s
fault. And in particular, it’s the fault of the CIA.
And then Leon Panetta, the CIA director (under Obama) took immediate exception to Pelosi’s comment
and made it very clear that her statement was a fabrication with no basis in truth. He stated that the CIA had, in no
way, mislead or misinformed Pelosi at any time.
And how are our stimulus checks for we poor taxpayers going? It seems that between 8 and 10
million dollars has already been sent to people who have the misfortune of not being alive. Another stellar example
of our government at work.
A number of states (Montana, Texas, Utah, etc.) are beginning to explore and apply ways and means
to limit the fast, overpowering growth of the federal government. This involves everything from gun laws to economic
areas and various criminal enforcements.
Under the current administration, we see that the U.S. now joins with China, Saudi Arabia and Cuba on the
UN Human Rights Council, a total farce, it is said, and a slap in the face of all those who have suffered and died under some
of these council member states.
The New York Times claims it did not kill a story about a link between Obama and the infamous ACORN organization.
Few in the American media have been willing to question this. The "Factor," national TV news program was an exception.
That program clearly showed that the Times did, in fact, kill the revealing story, with an investigation that even included
an inside witness.
Even while uncontrolled "pork" spending seems to rule our new regime, our Air Force retires 250 fighters and
light bombers. This action is scheduled to be completed in 2010. The Government Accountability Office has stated that
if the aircraft in question, "...are not replaced by 2020, 11 of 18 current air sovereignty alert sites could be without
aircraft."
Also included in military downgrades and cutbacks are proposed reductions in aircraft carrier battle groups,
Army battle brigades, anti-missile stations in Alaska, the F-18 Hornet and F-22 fighters, and the list goes on and on.
All of this is being done under the new administration, in spite of the escalating threats of violence and war around the
world.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden continues to suffer from what some describe as a severe case of foot-in-mouth disease.
His latest example is the revealing of an important secret bunker location. At this point he really does seem to have
absolutely no control whatsoever over his mouth.
With no important concern being expressed from the White House, we find massive public employee pensions and
other retirement benefits are destroying the economic stability of towns, cities and states around the nation. California
is in particularly bad shape and some have advised that it might be appropriate to consider a Chapter 11 (reorganization)
bankruptcy to get out from under the burden.
We see increases in the reduction of quality and dependability throughout our federal government. We’ve
seen this in the operation of the social security system and in medicare, in our postal service and in so many other areas.
Now you can also include the U.S. Copyright Office that is inundated with unprocessed applications. At this point, the
Copyright system is almost completely broken down.
Even some Democrats in Congress are inclined to withhold closing funds for the Guantanamo prison facility.
Great concern has been expressed about Obama’s lack of any sort of plan or prisoner disbursement arrangements.
By the middle of May, only 6% of the stimulus money has been spent. However, the natural cyclical recovery
process has shown signs of early development, without the application of such funds. Many experts are now suggesting
that this "recovery" may be short lived when faced with the unsupported massive spending. The decline may be notably
encouraged by such actions. Just thought you’d like to know.
It has been suggested that new credit card legislation may now require responsible card holders to share the
burden of the less responsible card holders. This can be expected to be done through rate "adjustments" and other unpalatable
arrangements.
Iran launches a new missile in a test that clearly establishes a down-range capability that can easily reach
Israel. One more action, filling the void left by the Obama international policy.
It was announced that the White House has made a deal to share nuclear technology with the United Arab Emirates
(UEA), much to the dismay of reasonable people everywhere.
Legislation has passed in the Senate that effectively blocks the President’s plan to close the Guantanamo
prison facility by making it clear that no terrorists from that prison are to be allowed on American soil. Now let’s
see what happens.
Now it has been revealed that the indicted ACORN organization and its affiliates have received at least 31
million dollars of taxpayer funds. This, in spite of its questionable operations and its prominence as Obama supporters
and promoters during the presidential election.
CNN reports that more and more illegal aliens are found to be responsible for drunk driving deaths on the
highways of America. And it almost always involves individuals who have had several previous drunk driving charges registered
and whose alien status was never questioned.
It has been estimated that over 300 high level positions for the new administration have yet to be filled.
No explanation for this has been given.
Obama makes a speech in which he declares his wish to bring Guantanamo terrorist prisoners to America.
The main news media is not quick to react but many in America, including some in Congress are not at all happy with this.
A government report has been leaked which documents the uncomfortable fact that 1 in 7 detainees at Guantanamo
who have been released have returned to terrorism. Attempts to obtain greater details on this have been halted by White
House officials.
Yet another Obama nominee is exposed. Kathleen Sebelius, the President’s nominee for the post of Secretary
of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has not only been found to owe back taxes, but she also failed to reveal
her financial ties to the abortion industry.
Almost a trillion dollars is now expected just in interest payments alone for our new, massive debt, over
the next 10 years. That figure may change. Many feel that the amount will rise well beyond the current estimate.
Obama seems to have changed the law in what is considered to be a highly questionable manner, now allowing
the UAW union to jump ahead of other creditor (such as the supposedly secured teacher and police pension funds) to claim the
assets of whatever might be left of Chrysler. Does the rule of law no longer apply here? Evidently.
Bills are still being created in Congress and run through quickly with politicians admitting they once again
didn’t read them, or at best, only knew a part of what such bills were about — which leaves us with the question
of where has our representative government gone?
With America now becoming little more than a "paper tiger," thanks to the new administration’s international
policies, dangerous foreign actions continue to grow, unabated. The latest involves nuclear test explosions and more
missile tests in North Korea. And there is no end in sight.
Senator Charles Schumer has now signaled that he feels slightly improved conditions at the border should be
enough to start the administration’s process of reversing the law and legalizing the millions of illegals who have broken
into our nation. He feels that, at this point, most Americans can be persuaded to believe that this will now be acceptable.
Some Democrats have joined Republicans as the Congressional House Homeland Security Committee approves a resolution
to open an inquiry into Napolitano’s "Rightwing Extremism" report that suggests the possibility of violence from returning
war veterans and from groups that might be opposed to abortion and/or immigration, and additional forms of gun control.
Since the full House must approve the investigation procedures, there is actually little likelihood that the Democrat controlled
House will approve of any further attempts at such an investigation.
Obama has picked Sonia Sotomayor, a judicial activist, as his nominee for the United States Supreme Court.
This woman’s background includes the making of such statements as, "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the
richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion, as a judge, than a white male..."
This, of course, could easily become a form of legislation and a rather racist form at that. (Her quote is as reported
at the UC Berkeley School of Law in 2001.)
Sonia Sotomayor has been further identified as having said that, "A Court of Appeals is where policy is
made." This was from her comments at Duke University. It is very clearly identified as a statement of procedure
that is very clearly judicial legislation — which is, without any doubt, unconstitutional. And of course we are
familiar with her rejection of the case of 20 white and Latino firemen from New Haven, Connecticut who were victims of reverse
discrimination.
North Korea obviously feels free to continue to escalate its dangerous behavior. That rogue nation now
declares that if their export shipping of rocket or atomic weaponry or anything else is interfered with by South Korea or
the U.S. or by anyone else, it will be considered as an act of war which will be immediately responded to. North Korea
also has declared that it will no longer honor the 1953 armistice.
Comments by lawyers have started coming in about Supreme Court nominee Sotomayor. Statements have included
such observations as, "She behaves in an out of control manner," "She is not very judicial," and "She is a
terror on the bench." (As reported in the Federal Judiciary Almanac.)
So far, the records indicate that the stimulus funds given to individuals are actually lower in those states
having the greatest need. This is in line with the logic and the practices of our federal government.
The problems are growing. Now 45 white police officers in Flint, Michigan are claiming what certainly
seems to be a clear case of reverse discrimination. This problem seems to be multiplying throughout America.
The need has been once again expressed, by the Office of National Drug Control Policy, for treatment and recovery
support services that have been given little to no attention by federal and state authorities. Somebody must have forgotten
that those drug addicts will some day be released right back out on the streets again.
The ACORN organization’s CEO has been asked, by some of its own members and on Fox News, to open its
books to public inspection since they are using public funds. This request was made on national television (FNC) and
was turned down flatly by the CEO in question.
Now it seems that a 25% national sales tax has been suggested to help fund the new national healthcare plan
that is being put together. One can only imagine what that will do to our faltering national economy.
"USA Today" reports that if you calculate what each household’s part of our national debt comes to,
you will currently find it’s a whopping $546,668 for every single household in America.
Obama, contrary to campaign statements, is going back to the old "spoils" system with major ambassadorial
appointments turning out to be important contributors to his political career. It’s one more promise that’s
evaporated.
It is revealed that Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, Sotomayor, has a number of what could be called "questionable
affiliations." Among these affiliations is her membership in the National Council of "La Raza" (the race) and in other
racially oriented groups.
It has now been conceded that perhaps as many as 30 % of GM vehicles are possibly slated to be manufactured
in other nations. This can be expected to have a major impact on the American labor market.
And so it goes. Another month down the drain.
June Gloom
June, 2009. You should be made aware of the Bloomberg accounting of Tom
Daschle, author of rationing provisions in the Stimulus Bill, health care section. He had some disturbing statements,
including (as published in the Bloomberg Report): "Daschle says health care reform will not be pain free. Seniors should
be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them."
You may remember the eyewitness reports and the videos that showed Black Panther activists wielding night
sticks and making threatening movements and unfriendly comments to intimidate voters in a Philadelphia poling place during
this last presidential election. Well, as you might imagine, political appointees in the Justice Department killed the
civil complaint and thus effectively ended the case.
An important translation from Russia’s "Pravda" (as reported by The Washington Times — 6/8/09):
"It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking
speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me, dear reader, I mean people. ... The final collapse
has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His
spending and money printing has been record setting, not just in America’s short history, but in the world. If
this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar
Republic and at worst Zimbabwe."
The new regime’s Justice Department has terminated the Georgia state system of verification of voter
eligibility. This now effectively opens up the system to massive voter fraud. This includes everything from multiple
voting to voting by illegal aliens. So much for honor and integrity.
It now comes out that the Pentagon seems to have issued top-secret clearances to as many as one-in-four applicants
that have significant problems, including criminal backgrounds. This information has come to light through an audit report
from the Government Accountability Office.
The GM bankruptcy puts GM in the hands of our government, under the new regime, with part of the ownership
going to the auto union and to the Canadian government. And, against the civil laws of our land, the last in line for
compensation will be the stockholders, bondholders and the American taxpayer, who evidently become the great collective losers.
The critics would rather it not be known, but the new southern border fence really does seem to be helping
to reduce the volume of drugs being smuggled into our country from Mexico. That’s what the new statistics are
showing us, courtesy of the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
We now hear that GM is planning to sell the "Hummer" brand to China. This vehicle was originally developed
by our military and can now be an important manufacturing and marketing element in the hands of Communist China and will become
an important acquisition for the Chinese military.
With the blessing of the Obama administration, the implementation of the "E-Verify" program expansion has
been seriously delayed once again. (As you may know, it’s a program that can identify those who have broken into
this country illegally.)
Examples keep surfacing. Now it comes out that Judge Sotomayor ruled against an American landowner for
the benefit of and new ownership of other private interests who coveted that property.
Obama has announced that the United States is one of the major Moslem nations of the world (as stated during
a French television interview this month). This, after he had gone out of his way, in the past, to state that we are
not actually Christian nation.
Economists now indicate that our current federal government has borrowed more funds in the last 6 months than
over the last 30 years. A not so surprising result of all of this is that now we are being lectured on the dangers of
our financial irresponsibilities by nations in Europe and in Asia. After all, our economic collapse will mean they will lose
a very important market.
It has been discovered that our federal government released some very sensitive information. It was
posted on the Internet as a document that lists important facilities and locations of supposedly secure private atomic operations
here in America. It was made available by the International Atomic Energy Agency and others. It must have been just
the ticket for any number of fanatics all over the world.
A Moslem kills an American soldier here on American soil and a deranged individual kills an abortion doctor.
Which story do you think was placed on the back burner and which one do you think was given headline attention by most
of our American media? You already know the answer, don’t you?
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez made an observation that has surprised just about everyone. He said,
"Hey, Obama has just nationalized nothing more and nothing less than General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful
or we are going to end up to his right." (Directly translated as stated on June 2, 2009.)
Joe Biden’s mouth seems to be running full bore once again. This time it’s a particular embarrassment
to the new regime. Speaking about the stimulus funds he said, "We know some of this money is going to be wasted." Ya
think?
Revelations abound as ACORN leadership admits that the former CEO and the former CFO of that organization
were involved in the embezzlement of an estimated 1 million dollars or more. It should be considered as a clearly unacceptable,
criminal behavior, but at ACORN, charges were never made. It fact, it had been completely covered up.
Once again, this time in Cairo, Egypt, Obama apologizes to some extent for past history (imagined or otherwise)
and calls for a new alliance with the Moslems.
In a Conference on Law Reviews, a speech by Sonia Sotomayor included the comment that, "I would hope that
a wise woman with the richness of her experience, would , more often than not, reach a better conclusion." Better
than who?
CNN reveals sensitive purchases from American companies that can be used in creating and maintaining biological
and atomic weapons, and yes, such purchases can be shipped to "less than friendly" areas all over the world.
Much of the mainstream media decided to use the inexcusable killing of Dr. George Tiller ("Tiller the baby
killer") as an excuse to paint all opposition to fourth trimester abortions in a poor light. This was accomplished by
lionizing Tiller in eulogies galore. And of course they weren’t about to mention the inconvenient truth that the
man was responsible for killing approx. 60,000 late-term babies, babies that were already formed into fully human form, with
beating hearts and little minds that were all ready to tackle the real world.
Now many examples are surfacing which show that Sonia Sotomayor made a number of speeches that included comments
that were the same and similar to her previously noted controversial "superior Latina decisions" quote. (As noted on
CNN.)
Yet another "policy czar" is to be appointed by the new regime. This now makes somewhere between 16
to 20 powerful "Czars" in the all-controlling administration. (They seem a little confused over the exact number.)
The newest one is supposed to be some sort of "Pay Czar." That is, he (or she) will be in charge of determining wages
and other income forms. That’s what we hear.
A few of us remember that Obama had said if we do pass the Stimulus Package, unemployment won’t go above
8%, and if we don’t, it will probably go to 9% or higher. Well, his "package" was passed and by the 5th
of June, unemployment had risen to 9.4%. So much for that.
As you may recall, much of the media made a big thing about ethics charges against Sarah Palin during this
last presidential election, and now that she has been completely cleared of all 14 charges, we notice little to no accounting
of this in the majority of our left-leaning American media. No one is surprised.
And now Obama tries to calm America about the 9.4% unemployment (the highest in 25 years) four months after
the gigantic stimulus bill was signed into law. (It was reported that the massive funding, created to deal with so many
unrealized solutions, now tops over 13 trillion dollars.)
It is reported that several European governments are moving to the "right." Even though "right" does not always
equate exactly with our American political nomenclature, there are similarities that should not be ignored. What do
you think this might suggest to us? Think about it.
An interesting fact was brought out on the "Lou Dobbs" show that surprised the host. It’s the
revelation that over 50% of American adults pay no federal income taxes whatsoever. So, what is this we now hear about even
heavier taxes for the wealthy while promising even more pay backs for those with lower incomes and even for those who pay
no taxes at all? And what is this about redefining "wealthy" to include large numbers of those who are in what used to be
called the "middle class?"
Our new government seems to be as bad as most any other administration we’ve had in recent times, with
regard to fiscal responsibility. The wasteful spending is enormous — and at this time, completely out of control.
"Citizens Against Government Waste" (CAGW) has documented this and has issued a special report that shows there is at least
a 2 trillion dollar saving (over 5 years) that is possible with reasonable cuts that have been meticulously detailed.
You should be able to obtain a copy of this report from CAGW. Their web site is CAGW.org .
It now comes out that a number of the GM dealerships terminated by the motor company were notably profitable
operations and many had been successful dealers for a considerable number of years. This discomforting fact is not being
widely reported.
The first "Gitmo Terrorist" has arrived on American soil. He should be expected to be the first of many.
How nice for us.
North Korea becomes more dangerous by the minute. It now threatens "a merciless offensive" with its
rockets and nuclear bombs if their offensive military exports are interfered with in any way. Since there is actually
nothing of any real consequence being done about North Korea at this time, the leadership there clearly feels free to do whatever
it wants to do.
The "left" must still be thoroughly traumatized by little Sarah Palin, for they can’t seem to retire
their vicious attacks on her and her family. Now David Letterman went after her once again, when she went back East
to support a special charity and attended a Yankee game. Letterman had no qualms about making a filthy joke when Palin
and here 14-year-old daughter attended the game. He smirked and suggested that her daughter was "knocked-up by Alex
Rodriguez." This is one of the worst examples of the horrendous comments being fed to us on the liberal American media.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is appalled by what our government is doing to our once mighty free enterprise
system. They are planning a public reeducation campaign. In a released statement they have indicated that, "It’s
time to remind all Americans that it was a free enterprise system based on the values of individual initiative, hard work,
risk, innovation and profit that built our great country."
California Governor Schwarzenegger has announced that he will cut funds to schools, release prisoners and
do all sorts of other shocking things to bring the state budget under control, but will definitely not cut the massive state
funds doled out for the special benefit of illegal aliens. Let’s hope that’s all just talk.
Well, now it seems our generous federal government has decided to send a group of oriental detainees at Guantanamo
to the beautiful Bermuda islands. Our government will be paying the islanders a whopping 200 million to accept them
and take good care of them. How nice. We should be so lucky to get such special treatment.
Another video has surfaced of Sonia Sotomayor with her offering extensive praise for affirmative action.
One of her statements: "I am the perfect affirmative action baby." All of this rather clearly suggests how she
stands on reverse discrimination, affirmative action policies.
We are all aware of the terrible fatal shoot-out at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. We are also
aware that some media elements and a number of other liberals have been doing their best to paint the killer as some sort
of right-wing extremist. What they would rather you didn’t realize is that the killer’s writings clearly
indicate that he hated everybody, including conservative politicians, talk show hosts and just about everyone and everything
he could think of. Consider it as another inconvenient truth that the politically left would rather you didn’t know
about.
Glenn Beck (Fox News) has received and shown a very revealing video disclosing known liberal promoters making
statements that the new government health plan is being designed to set up originally with multiple (government & private)
coverage that is clearly intended to reduce down to a government single-payer system.
The Obama administration has not been pleased with an Inspector General’s appropriate investigation
of a friend and supporter of Obama. So, the White House fired the Inspector General — a valued and honorable man
by the name of Gerald Walpin. And there are some very serious questions as to why and as to how the termination occurred,
operating well beyond the actual legal process.
It now comes to light that the White House threatened to ruin the Chrysler bondholder attorney Thomas Lauria
if he didn’t go along with the Obama government’s decision to reduce the rights and payment positions of the car
company bondholders — which clearly breaks civil law.
With corruption seeming to loom around every corner, the new administration and its Congress show an unmistakable
inclination toward the watering down or even the outright dismissal of investigative processes that involve their party members
and their friends. There have been some examples of this abuse that have been hinted at in some of the media, but of
course there has been little to none of these revelations that have been followed up on (with the exception of CNN’s
Lou Dobbs and, of course, Fox cable news).
We understand that former President Jimmy Carter is supposed to be planning on a special meeting with Obama.
We are told he wants to have the extremely dangerous "Hamas" terror group removed from the list of terror organizations. Isn’t
that wonderful?
A great deal of "pork" and other waste keeps on surfacing from the "stimulus" package, like slime coming to
the surface in a cesspool. One of the totals suggested in this category is a whopping $787,000,000,000.
The CIA Director Panetta’s political comments, concerning former Vice President Cheney and other partisan
comments, are raising some genuine fears about our major intelligence service becoming politicized. History has shown
us that this sort of thing could become very dangerous for all of us.
ACORN sponsored protests at the entrance to the New York State Senate building in Albany. Their protest
activities included the obstruction of the entrance and even knocking down a senator and roughing up others. It has
been noted that they are out of control because they are being allowed to get away with it.
A current statement from California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger: "It’s outrageous that the
legislature would ask Californians to pay higher taxes but refuse to cut the pay of state workers by 5 percent. This
is exactly why so many Californians have lost faith in Sacramento’s ability to solve problems." What’s
the problem? California is only just imitating the irresponsibilities of the rest of the nation.
Congressman King makes the statement to Lou Dobbs (on CNN) that, "...ACORN and its estimated 270 corporate
affiliates comprise a complex organizational and financial spider web with all the appearances of a criminal enterprise..."
We have been informed by Glenn Beck (on Fox News) that Wade Rathke, the former head of ACORN (who had been
involved in a million dollar scandal within the organization), has decided to change the name of his international version
of the group, from "ACORN International" to "Community Organizations International." We can only assume that he felt
that getting away from such a negatively spotlighted name might give him more acceptance and a freer hand — a decision
similar to that of "AIG" and possibly for similar reasons.
The New York Times takes a poll and then announces, "...wide support for government-run health."
The problem is that we understand the Times poll was carefully conducted primarily among registered Democrats. Honorable
journalism? What do you think?
Senator Tom Coburn has identified as much as 5 ½ billion dollars in bad allocations and general waste within
the "Stimulus" operations. The pork and earmarks most certainly seem to be there — the notable increase in jobs
is not.
The Obama administration has evidently decided to scrap the use of satellite imagery to fight crime, terrorism
and natural disasters. It was being administered by the National Applications Office (NAO). Such good use of our
satellites may still be possible to some degree, we are told, but there is little hope expressed by quite a number of other
concerned persons who are close to this issue.
We have noticed that the new "Cap & Trade" taxing bill really does seem to be most heavily weighted against
those states that are primarily associated with Republican and conservative voting histories. It also should be noted
that even the New York Times has observed that similar Cap & Trade systems tried in Europe were a complete failure.
It seems we can look forward to a notable rise in the cost of gas, electricity, etc. It’s all part of the game
with Cap & Trade.
We now see "La Raza" (The Race) demanding that Congress makes sure that illegal aliens are given all of the
same health care benefits that are given to American citizens in the new healthcare system. And, of course, we know
who is going to pay for that, don’t we?
The North Korean government now declares that it is ready to wipe the United States off the map, once and
for all. There should be no doubt whatsoever that the dangerous rogue states of the world are not the least bit worried
about Obama.
CNN now reports that 23 of the 30 largest states are seeing a significant increase in the number of people
on welfare. It is yet another significant statistic that shows us that we are definitely not solving our economic problems.
A new United Nations report states that marijuana use is way up in America. It also states that the
drug is far more dangerous than previously realized. The report indicates that new medical evidence indicates that marijuana
can seriously damage the human brain. (As you probably know, Obama had decided to remain somewhat indifferent to the
problem.)
A commercial property owner in Atlanta cancels a wonderfully planned July 4th patriotic "tea party"
event in his general area. Glenn Beck (on Fox News) reveals that the person who got the event canceled is one of Obama’s
big supporters.
The massive 1,207 page environmental bill (in the House) seems to be about more control over America, and
the Cap & Trade bill guarantees huge increases in all of our personal energy costs. And all of this at a time when
we understand that the rise in global warming (which is the excuse for what they are doing) seems to have "flat-lined."
That’s an inconvenient truth they will do their best to cover up.
It was reported by members of Congress that the House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr. has backed
off a plan to investigate the operations and general practices of ACORN. This, in spite of the mounting evidence against
their operations even while they still use public, taxpayer funds.
Some lawmakers have been asking for an accounting of the Federal Reserve Board operations. The Federal
Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke, says no. There will be no transparency. There will be no
oversight. The books will remain closed, even as growing numbers worry that the Board is helping to slowly destroy the
integrity and strength of the American monetary system.
The U.S. Supreme Court has announced that it has reverse the ruling of Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor,
by which she allowed the discrimination against a small group of non-black New Haven firefighters. We are also informed
that this only adds to the significant number of reversals on record against Sotomayor. The Democratic majority is expected
