Here is where you will find the sad saga of the second half of 2009.  Unfortunately, it's not something you can enjoy (unless you are one of the dismantlers of America),  but it most certainly is a place that needs your attention.

It Never Ends

July, 2009.   ACORN is protesting in 14 different states about not getting all they want, at the expense of the rest of us, of course.  They have been described as Obama’s "brown shirt" thugs.  Welcome to the new America.

I’ll bet you weren’t aware of the "Farce of July" celebrations on our Independence Day this year.  The biggest such event was in Los Angeles and was sponsored by the "Aztlan Underground" and supported by many of the La Raza people and legal and illegal Latino radicals.  And what do they want? Not much really.  They seek to annex the states of California, Arizona, and New Mexico and other areas, into a Mexican "Republica del Norte."  I’m sure you wouldn’t mind, right?

Glenn Beck (on Fox News) reports that at least 33 senators own stock in banks that have received TARP funds from the federal government.  Nothing wrong with that, right?  Sure.

The Labor Department now reports 467,000 jobs were lost just in the month of June.  The official figures now show that we have also lost 6.5 million jobs since the current recession began.  The prognosis for the rest of this year and the next is not pleasant.

It has been reported that North Korea has launched four more "test" missiles.  It’s their answer to what has been perceived to be Obama’s empty words.  The world is on notice.  It is the time of the rise of the dangerous rogue nations.

Well, it’s finally gotten to some of them.  At least a few of the White House press corpse seem a bit miffed and have expressed actual concern about the staged presidential "Town Hall" meetings being nothing more than informercials for the new government health care plan.  Of course the media isn’t questioning the questionable health care plan, only the dishonest staging of what was billed as an open exchange of ideas.

Governor Sarah Palin announces that she will not seek re-election to the governorship of the state of Alaska and soon will be stepping down and turning over the state office to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell on July 26th.  This is sending chills and a call to arms through the ranks of the liberal establishment. The crude and baseless attacks upon her, by these disgusting forces, can be expected to continue and even escalate.

We now discover that the "Washington Post" seems to have tried to sell its "government administration influence" to lobbyists for a substantial figure.  This has ignited a very great concern.  Everyone knows that most metropolitan daily newspapers are in serious financial trouble, but most folks do not appreciate such a blatant exposure of prejudicial connections in the political arena, let alone putting such connections up for sale.  (The growing negative pressure has now forced the Post to drop the idea, for now.)

As a planned and directed defiance of America, on July 4th, North Korea launched 7 missiles from the east coast of their peninsula nation.  This, from a nation that we understand has over 200 missiles that are estimated to be able to hit anywhere in South Korea and Japan, and some well beyond.

The leftist president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, was in the process of illegally dismantling the democratic system in that nation (much as some say Obama is doing in America).  Now he has been thrown out of office in a military coup.  So now the far-left want-to-be dictator says he is planning to seek the help of the Obama administration to get back in power.  And what has our government done?  We have called for the ousted president’s reinstatement.  (From wire service reports.)

Of the many baseless charges and rumors flung far and wide on the Internet, concerning Sarah Palin, there is the claim that she is under investigation by the F.B.I.  Now the F.B.I. has actually felt it to be important enough to issue a statement declaring that she has definitely not been under investigation. And, of course, her resignation has brought an enormous number of complaints to the surface, mostly from the political left.  This is the case, even though similar resignations from members of their own ranks are never complained about and not considered important.

Now, in the middle of discussions over the failure of the first "stimulus" package, there is talk about launching a second "stimulus" package.  Have they not learned anything from the first time around?

The president’s health plan is now being described as a trillion dollar debt that can sink the already floundering ship of state.  The question must always be asked, where is all the money going to be coming from?

The American government is under serious cyber attack and most experts suggest that North Korea is the primary suspect with China a close second.  Frankly, our computer security is not up to it.

The stockpile of nuclear weapons are estimated as 13,000 in Russia, 9,400 in the United States and 240 in China.  And there are many other nations on the list with nuclear weapons.  (The statistics have come to us from the Federation of American Scientists.)

First we hear it said that Congressman Barney Frank is supposed to have co-sponsored a bill that would legalize the dangerous marijuana drug.  Now we understand he has a bill that would give returning TARP profits to ACORN and similar questionable organizations.

It has been estimated that the interest alone on that massive original stimulus package has now reached 100 million dollars a day.  And, because that first package has failed, the administration wants to develop a second one?

You may have been noticing how our culture and values and support and assistance have all changed under the new government philosophy.  One interesting current example: After over 40 years of fly-overs by a couple of Air Force planes for the patriotic "God and Country Festival," an important traditional American event in Idaho, our new government will no longer allow this fly-over to continue.

Now promoters of drug legalization have been running TV ads suggesting that we legalize "pot" in order to raise more taxes for the state of California.  One of the spokespersons even stated (in the ads) that marijuana is safer than alcohol. With over 10 times the cancer causing carcinogens than tobacco cigarettes, pot is somehow declared as safer?

In USA Today (July 9, 2009): "Counties that supported Obama last year have reaped twice as much money per person from the administration’s $787 billion economic stimulus package as those that voted for his Republican rival..."  Who would have ever thought.

Again and again it is being stated that in his first six months, Obama has given us a debt level that is greater than all of the previous presidents have given us combined!  And they’re still blaming George Bush for irresponsible indebtedness?

More facts are in, after this first six months have played out. It has become crystal clear that the bailouts and guarantees and loans from the new federal government have left out the very backbone of American free enterprise — the small business owners of the nation (which make up over 70% of American business enterprises).  This lopsided financial connection has been found to be only accelerating the dismantling of our country.

And now, after this first six months, what might be our national deficit at this point?  It would seem that there is absolutely no doubt that it has risen to at least 1 trillion dollars. (From CNN.)  We wonder how many Americans realize how important this fact is and what its impact can be expected to be.

We now are hearing cries from Democratic Congressmen and Senators and other Democratic leaders for a criminal investigation of the C.I.A. operations under Bush.  Never mind serious questions about national security under Obama.  Also, Democrats seem to think that the law might have been broken, under Bush, concerning "black ops" that actually never were finalized and never occurred.  It has been suggested by some observers that all of this may be an effort to protect House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from damaging comments she previously made about the C.I.A.

It has been reported that an Islamic Saudi educational academy in Virginia (near Washington, DC), an institution that has graduated students who have joined various terrorist groups, now wants to expand its operation.  Some folks in Virginia are strongly opposed to this idea. I wonder why?

Now Steven Rattner has resigned from his post as Obama’s "Car Czar."  It seems that it was discovered that Mr. Rattner is the subject of a criminal probe.  Evidently this was something that couldn’t be stopped or covered up.  So a new "Car Czar" is being put in place who also knows absolutely nothing about the automotive industry.

Now, during the Senate hearings for the confirmation of Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, we witness her in a stark and massive reversal of her previously stated positions on so many issues.  The question remains, what are we to believe? Observers note that it doesn’t really matter.  The Democratic majority is planning to confirm her appointment no matter what.

We are discovering that a financial corporate conglomeration seems to have managed to get many of its key people in prime government positions and the company has been given enormous amounts of government money and is making enormous amounts of money with it’s great new "connections."  The company is Goldman Sachs.  Yes, that’s the same company that is reported to have paid no Federal taxes at all this last year.

Well, the soon-to-be ex-governor Palin of Alaska is still being harassed with frivolous law suits.  Almost as soon as one is thrown out, another one is filed.  When is the out-of-control legal profession ever going to realize the blatant dishonesty of such nuisance suits?  Would you believe never?

China continues to carve its influence deeply into third-world nations all around the planet.  China now has the third largest economy and is gaining economic control all over the world, while the U.S.A., under Obama, slowly disappears from the scene.

The vast majority of our new government’s "Czars" seem to have some questionable backgrounds and some worrisome foregrounds as well.  One of the many examples: John Holden, the "Science Czar," has been found to have written a fairly recent book in which he spoke of the desirability of various human sterilization policies.

More and more examples of "Obama-like" healthcare in Europe and in Canada are coming to light and they aren’t pretty.  With long lines waiting and other forms of rationing in those other systems, the current U.S. healthcare (as imperfect as it is) looks pretty good.  As compared to the others, the U.S. has a far better survival rate for most cancers.  And that’s just one example of the way it is.

Dictatorial strong arm tactics seem to now be the order of the day for our new administration.  An example:  Senate Minority Whip, Arizona Senator Kyl has been very critical of the Federal stimulus package.  As a result, four Cabinet Secretaries attempted to put pressure on the Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, and others, to get Kyl to back off. Fortunately, it didn’t work and, in fact, it only served as a nasty example of how things actually get done now.  What kind of pressure was applied?  It was suggested that Federal funding in Arizona could be at issue here, because of Senator Kyl’s comments.  Welcome to the new America.

We see that the statistics show at least 99% of business jobs in America are small business jobs.  And we also see that nothing substantial is being done to address this most important area where most of the jobs in America are created. Of course not.  The "stimulus" is about power, not about job creation.

It was announced that Walter Cronkite has died (July 17, 2009).  He was once considered to be the most trusted man in America.  He was one news anchorman that we could depend on to keep personal viewpoints and hidden ideologies out of his reporting — a virtue that is sorrily lacking in most of today’s media.

And there are still more Sonia Sotomayor comments coming to light that you should know about, such as comments from a 2004 speech in which she calls for the "...castration of all white males until they are no longer dominant."  And what does Obama think about that?  It’s not important.  It was taken out of context.

What is this we are now hearing about our Obama appointed Commerce Secretary saying that America needs to pay for the Chinese greenhouse emissions?  That can’t be right.  That must be some sort of mistake.  I don’t think so.

Now "Card Check" and "Fast Track" legislation will allow the unions to create what amounts to a forced and closed union shop to be put upon America businesses everywhere across our land.  It’s all a part of a special alliance between the unions and the new form of government our nation now has.

It seems hard to believe, but it is now seriously estimated that all of Obama’s loans, bailouts and special programs are involved with a total cost that could exceed 24 trillion dollars. (CNN — Lou Dobbs.)

It is now realized that Obama has appointed a total of at least 34 Czars in his first six months in office.  These are very powerful positions of unstipulated power, answerable only to the president, with no congressional control and with no public financial accountability.  This is how you build a personal, centralized empire.  You think?

The subtle suggestions are gradually coming forward to suggest the very real possibility of a sacrificial rationing of health care with regard to our older population.  Such subtlety has even been heard from Obama himself (as directly quoted in The Washington Times).  Among other things, Obama said that, "The chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health care bill. ... There is going to have to be a conversation that is guided by doctors, scientists, and ethicists.  And there is going to have to be a very democratic conversation that takes place." Guess what that means.

What is this we are hearing about home owners soon to be required to retrofit their homes to the new "green" standards (an expensive process) before they would be given permission to sell their homes?  Is this really going to happen?  Let’s hope this is just some sort of misunderstanding.

About Obama’s government health plan, the Mayo Clinic has recently stated that, "...the proposed legislation misses the opportunity to help create higher quality, more affordable health care for patients ... the real losers will be the citizens of the United States."

Contained within the H.R. 3200 Health Care Bill: "...the Secretary shall give preference to entities that have a demonstrated record of the following [which includes] training individuals who are from under represented minority groups or disadvantaged backgrounds."  (As reported by Glenn Beck, Fox News.)

The President is putting on the pressure for his trillion dollar health care plans.  He is also now getting strong resistance from some Democrats as well as Republicans.  The President’s plan is seen as fiscally dangerous and a gigantic mess that cannot possibly work correctly.

Now it is coming out that one of Obama’s top Czars, Cass R. Sunstein, has a long record of strong advocacy for what is seen as extreme and dangerous government control over the lives of all the citizens.  It would seem that he is only one of many of Obama’s people who harbor that philosophy.  To the rest of us, this is truly frightening.

Now we hear that the 92 billion dollar American student loan market is to be rebuilt into an operation that will be put completely under our new central government.  And, of course, choices and selections will be allowed according to the new acceptable criteria of the government, not by demonstrated ability.

We saw the Presidential news conference where he told us all that he didn’t know the facts involved in the Cambridge, Massachusetts police call that has captured national media attention, but he still said, "The Cambridge police acted stupidly."  And now we find that the police had acted properly and that the radical black professor involved in the incident (a personal friend of Obama’s) had gone totally out of control. (This, according to many witnesses, including a black officer and an Hispanic officer who were present.)   [ NOTE:  Later, the President tried to "almost" apologize and attempt to apply symbolism to defuse the situation. ]

Now the Concord Mills Mall in North Carolina has terminated a patriotic kiosk in its mall.  It offers some items that are not too friendly to Obama.  This mall is a Melvin Simon property. He had previously canceled an Atlanta Tea Party event at another of his properties.  And, as you might have imagined, it has been discovered that he is an important supporter and contributor of Obama’s.  This is what we find many such supporters do, when they can.  How nice.

Congressman Darrell Issa has issued a scathing and very revealing report about the ACORN configuration of questionable groups and activities.  He demands a full, criminal investigation.  It has been suggested that folks all over America might want to ask their representatives to support this effort.

According to Lou Dobbs (CNN), a current Rasmussen pole shows Obama’s overall rating at 49% approval, with a 51% disapproval.  The President’s level of public support is clearly eroding.

The new administration has its political party in complete control of both houses of Congress and yet, somehow, Obama and other Democrats seem to think they can continue to blame Republicans for the failure to get the convoluted health care program passed right away.  How such an excuse can be touted under these circumstances is beyond the understanding of most reasonable observers.

Congressman Charlie Rangel (one of Obama’s big supporters) has been revealed as not having payed an enormous amount of taxes on income from a luxury island rental which he owns.  And yes, this is the same Rep. Rangel who is in charge of writing tax laws for the rest of us.  (As reported by Glenn Beck on Fox News.)

Now we discover that the new healthcare program will have no verification process, thereby allowing illegal immigrants to get said healthcare at taxpayer expense.  Combined with other loopholes, it makes the whole system work as a super highway to welfare for illegals.

We are now learning (no thanks to most American media) that the so-called "military coup" in Honduras wasn’t really that at all.  We find that our government in Washington, in concert with most of the main-stream media, has grossly mislead us all (as usual).  It seems that the Honduran Supreme Court ordered the removal of the leftist dictator, Manuel Zelaya from office.  Even his own party (which remains in power) wanted his removal.  And why did this happen?  Zelaya was doing all that he could to grab a much more absolute power, through his goons, through phoney ballot tricks, through brazen intimidations of those who oppose his actions, through the thwarting of the nation’s constitution, through various takeovers, and through many other tricks (very much reminiscent of some of Obama’s actions right here in the U.S.A.).  Maybe that’s why the Obama administration is doing all that it can to condemn and reverse Zelaya’s removal?  Yes, this is something that is very hard to believe, but it is really happening.

Insidious projects and organizations are springing up everywhere. We are talking about such things as "The Apollo Project," with such founding members as Van Jones, a self-proclaimed Communist, and Wade Rathke, the founder of ACORN, etc., etc.  It’s just one of many efforts to convert America into a nation of central control.

We find that the "SEIU" union organization is not only very closely tied to Obama, as Obama has clearly stated, it is also connected to ACORN, in many indirect ways.  And many of its union leadership are now in important posts in our new government.

Democrats are moving ever closer to getting their health plan through.  But there is much worry being expressed. Congressman John Boehner said, "This ‘deal’ will increase health care costs for families.  It is a raw deal for the American people, and sadly, it proves once again that the so-called ‘Blue Dogs’ have no bite when they’re forced to choose between their constituents and the radical leadership of their party."

Obama and his Democrat lackeys continue to blame Bush and the Republicans for all our financial woes, including the bursting of the real estate bubble.  But, as Carl Rove pointed out (on Fox News), one of the first things Obama did, when he became a federal Senator, was to join a Democrat filibuster against efforts to reform the growing irresponsibilities of "Fanny Mae" and "Freddie Mac."  Such irresponsibilities were a major factor in causing the housing melt-down that triggered our current recession.

Left-wing public TV guru, Bill Maher, is now joining a number of other liberal media people, making it very clear that he feels that America is a stupid country.  Yes, he actually said that on camera.

Buddy Caldwell, the Democrat Attorney General of Louisiana has opened a criminal investigation into the ACORN operations, which also just happen to funnel national funds through "front" organizations located in the state of Louisiana.  It’s about time.

You’d better be careful now when you get on a government web site.  When you log onto "Cars.gov" you will discover the following notice embedded within the labyrinth:  "This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. Government."

At the end of this month, Obama is holding a 2-day summit with his Cabinet, to try and find ways to create a more acceptable image, in spite of all that is actually happening. This comes as the polls show that Obama’s support is falling.

How well is the government’s "Cash for Clunkers" program going?  It seems that it is benefitting foreign auto makers far more than domestic manufacturers.  This is definitely not what was supposed to happen.  However, it is not surprising for a government program.

The publically discredited Dan Rather now comes forward to plead for some sort of government control and/or assistance for the protection of the failing liberal wing of the media.  This can prove to be one of the most frightening possibilities that can ever happen in any free society.

The corruption in Washington continues to grow.  Now we’re learning about such things as Democratic Congressman Conyers support for a hazardous waste project that has a special and very profitable link to his wife.  And we find that Democratic Congressman Ed Perlmutter has important financial links to "green" banking institutions that he has promoted special legislative considerations for.  And on and on it goes.

Background information on Obama’s many "Czars" keeps coming out.  Examples include the "Science Czar" on which Joseph Farah responds, "John Holdren ... is a population-control zealot who believes the Constitution justifies compulsory abortions on a massive worldwide scale."  And on the "Green Jobs Czar," Mr. Farah notes that, "Van Jones ... has an equally checkered past deep-rooted in radical politics, including black nationalism, anarchism and communism."  (Washington Times)

Now we learn that through the "stimulus" package, Nancy Polosi’s Salt Marsh Harvest Mouse will receive at least 16.1 million dollars.  We poor humans should be so lucky.

With regard to the administration’s health care coverage, "...cost and who will foot the bills remain in dispute and many of the president’s favorite talking points are challenged not only by Republicans but by independent fact-checkers."  (Washington Times)

As The Summer Goes On

August, 2009.   As Michelle Malkin reported (through TownHall.com), "Obama lawyers are now blocking a House inquiry into the suspicious decision to dismiss default judgements against radical New Black Panther Party activists who intimidated voters and poll workers on Election Day in Philadelphia."  The Chicago mob is alive and well, and spreading everywhere.

The Washington Times reports that, "Honduran officials are investigating allegations that President Manuel Zelaya and his chief of staff stole millions of dollars from the Central Bank before the military ousted Mr. Zelaya last month, according to a senior Honduran official, government documents and other evidence."  And this is the leftist dictator that Obama wants returned to power.

Angry citizens in growing numbers are descending upon politicians when they come home to face their constituents. It’s amazing and heartening to see this wonderful movement grow.  And what they want is really very simple.  They just want our country back, that’s all.  And, if these politicians ignore them, or dismiss them as just so much garbage (which some are doing), it is growing clearer by the minute that such politicians will end up joining the unemployed.

It has now been disclosed that 11% of the appointments made by the Obama administration are individuals who were lobbyists.  This represents yet another promise by candidate Obama that has been broken.

The Congressional Budget Office indicates that the current fiscal policies and actions will give us, "...substantial increases in federal budget deficits during the decade beyond the current 10-year budget window."

The Washington Post reported that, with regard to the signs of slight economic improvement, "President Obama and his aides are moving to take credit for the gains."  Of course there are economists who will tell you that, considering the economic cycles which include short-term bounce-backs of limited recovery from bottom positions, we are having a normal function and it has little to nothing to do with the "stimulus" package.  It is also suggested that it is not a sign of general recovery.  The Post also reported that, with regard to taxes, "Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner refused to rule out that possibility, saying the administration will ‘do what it takes’ to bring the deficit down."  (Since the figures are in the trillions, a miracle would be appropriate.)

Politicians are finding that they have come home to a growing storm of very serious protests.  Some politicians (on the left) are suggesting that it is some sort of dark and highly questionable action, organized by special interests (often not clearly identified).  And of course we know how totally false that is.  They either have no idea what a spontaneous grass-roots effort is, or they do know and they don’t want the rest of America to know the truth about what is really going on.  With large numbers of very unhappy citizens greeting these returning politicians, the leadership of the Democratic party is trying to convince America that these are just some sort of angry mobs that they sometimes suggest are financed by the Republican party or perhaps by the pharmaceutical industry. They don’t want you to notice that they are little old grandmothers and veterans and other fine Americans.  They are a terrible mob, right?

Other problems have been surfacing in the "Cash For Clunkers" program.  Areas of the auto industry that are suffering include the auto parts business.  Consumers who are suffering include those who can only afford the cars that are no longer available and are being crushed under the program.  Something to think about.

Now the unthinkable is beginning to happen.  Now the White House is asking for people to report to them about folks who have made public criticisms or other opposing comments about Obama’s health care program.  This is, without a doubt, a very dangerous direction for things to be moving in.

Another problem with the "Cash For Clunkers" program includes the discovery that, sometimes, cars traded in are going right out the back door to be sold and driven again — not "crushed" out of the market.

We watched Obama say that he wants the protesters and other concerned citizens to shut up and get out of the way.  He says they caused the mess in the first place.  He’s got to be kidding.  And just who does he think shares a big chunk of the blame for all of this?  It’s just those bad ole Republicans?  The Democrats couldn’t possibly have had anything to do with the problem, right?  History knows better.

Lou Dobbs, commenting on the growing national opposition to the government healthcare mess and other problems, noted that the White House now indicates that when their opposition speaks out in public events, they’ll strike back, twice as hard. (CNN)

We are all familiar with Obama’s "community organizing" and legal representation of ACORN.  It’s a matter of public record.  It is also public knowledge that the "SEIU" union has a very close association with ACORN and, in fact, with Obama himself.  We also know how Obama has called for the left to come out and strongly oppose the patriots who have been publicly voicing their opposition to Obama’s collectivist, central government plans.  And now, as an example, in the early part of August, 2009, at an event in St. Louis, Missouri, a black patriot by the name of Kenneth Gladney, was handing out patriotic trinkets and such when he was confronted by four men (black and otherwise) wearing official SEIU shirts. They asked him what the hell he was doing there and called him a "nigger."  Kenneth did his best to defuse the situation by offering them a button.  They responded by beating him to the point where he had to be brought to a hospital.  All of this has been verified, and was filmed and fully authenticated. There is absolutely no doubt as to the origination of such unfortunate actions as this and no doubt as to the terrible results that follow.  God help us all!

Hugo Chavez (the Venezuelan dictator) has now warned that U.S. troops in Columbia are such a threat to his nation that it could lead to war.  It’s just one more area going hot in the face of a cool American foreign policy.

Misrepresentations of representatives Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hover, as quoted in "USA Today":  "An ugly campaign is underway , not merely to misrepresent the health insurance reform legislation, but to disrupt civil dialogue.  These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views but of the facts themselves.  Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American."  Those of us who have been around for a while and know these concerned citizens — we know how totally dishonest and completely opposite from the truth such statements are.  The rest of the country is slowly beginning to realize this, too.

The disinformation continues to spread from Obama and from his cohorts.  We are told that 47 million cannot get healthcare.  However, the CBO government survey that came up with the figure included short-time uninsured as almost ½ of that amount.  And the Census Bureau has reported that over 10 million of those who are uninsured are not even American citizens.  And those, of the remaining number who are not actually covered, include 14 million who are low-income Americans who qualify for available assistance programs, and can utilize these programs if they will only choose to do so.  And, the Congressional Budget Office has estimated that as many as 17 million will remain uninsured under what the Democrats have so far proposed (and all of this includes, drug addicts, people who are homeless by choice, young adults who don’t want to be covered, etc., etc.). (As reported in The Washington Times & The Wall Street Journal.)

The Washington Times headlines, "Grants To Boost Electric Cars Went To Foreign Firms."  I wonder how much more we will be offering in such "stimulus" packages to overseas companies?  When will it end?

We knew this would happen.  We now know that, in spite of all the negative facts that have come out, Sonia Sotomayor was accepted by the administration’s Senate majority and was confirmed to become a new Supreme Court judge.  We knew this was coming.  And now it has happened.

Well, Obama has been stomping for his healthcare reform and has been quick to tout low cost and great savings in figures that even the Congressional Budget Office tells us are unrealistic, to say the least.  None of Obama’s figures, along with so many other promises, seem to be in touch with the real world and growing numbers seem to be gaining a serious awareness of this disquieting fact.

We now hear that the illegal aliens will be counted in the census.  But aren’t the numbers used to determine the number of voting representatives that will be allowed in various districts?  And, are not groups affiliated with ACORN going to be deeply involved in the counting process?  That’s what we’re told.  And I’m sure you have an idea what that just might mean, right?

We are in an economic recovery.  That’s what our government leadership tells us.  Or are we?  The "Washington Post" reports, "...any recovery isn’t going to feel like one anytime soon for millions of Americans."  Yes, even the press that leans to the left is growing skeptical.

While he tells us how wonderful everything is going to be under his new healthcare plan, we remember when Obama said (on 4/14/09) that, "You just get into some very difficult moral issues to give my grandmother, or everybody else’s aging grandparents or parents, a hip replacement when they’re terminally ill."  (As reported by Glenn Beck on Fox News.)  So, what sort of a system do you think this is slowly inching toward?

Surprise! Surprise!  The "Boston Globe" has exposed the "little girl plant" that Obama had at one of his recent question and answer sessions.  Has perhaps even some of the liberal media had just about enough of this dishonesty?

As Obama continues to promote his healthcare ideas, we find him not only at odds with the CBO government figures, he has also been caught lying about an AARP endorsement that the organization tells us never was.  This growing number of blatant falsehoods are waking up more and more Americans every day.  Let’s hope it’s not too late.

It has been reported that 17 members of the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate are under investigation for breaking the legal standard for the ethical behavior of elected officials.  Only 4 of that number are Republican.

A left-wing talk show host, Ed Schultz (yes, there really is such a thing) was revealed to have said (as reported by Lou Dobbs on CNN), "Sometimes I think they want Obama to get shot.  I do.  I really think there are conservative broadcasters in this country who would love to see Obama taken out.  They fear socialism.  They fear Marxism.  They fear that the United States of America won’t be the United States of America anymore."  Yes, the fear is there, but the violence has been left to the very capable and experienced left.

There is a serious underground rumor going around that, if this administration loses serious ground on most fronts as time goes on, there are those in his inner circle who can be expected to do some very serious things to counter such situations.  One such consideration is to have an attempted assassination of the president, to be followed by staged violent outbreaks and then martial law — a martial law from which we will never recover.  Let’s hope this has no basis in fact.

We had a suspicion it was coming.  The left secured most metropolitan newspapers and broadcast network news (through ideological selection in management and reporting positions) but they have been unable to control talk radio in America.  That is, until now.  Now Obama has placed Mark Lloyd into the FCC, under the title of "The Chief Diversity Officer."  We have been informed that Mr. Lloyd is hard at work developing confiscatory fees and/or fines to bring talk radio under the "liberal" umbrella.  (We seem to be getting more and more like Germany in the 1930s.)

Nancy Pelosi is at it again.  She is very upset at conservatives, as we all know, who she says are raising a ruckus at community meetings.  She seems to have conveniently forgotten that, just a few years ago, she was praising the radical left for doing the same thing.  It’s in the record.  It was fully filmed.  There’s no denying it.  So much for Pelosi.

One answer to the public outpouring at the Town Hall events is for the Democrats to "pack" the audience with their own people.  And so they did, as Obama went on the road.  And so they did with additional representative’s Town Hall meetings. (Such as when an Obamacare supporter claimed she was a doctor and the Fox investigation showed she is not only not a doctor, she is actually a former Obama deligate.  This is the way the left answers the sincere folks who are so worried about what’s going on?  I guess so.

We are all painfully aware of the administration’s desire to control the last bastions of political dissent in talk radio.  Now this interest is also shifting to the Internet.  The Cybersecurity Act "S.773" is intended to take advantage of any emergency that might occur (or possibly just be invented) to serve as a springboard for snooping, intimidating oversight and absolute control over what is or is not to be allowed.  One more nail in the coffin.

When patriots ask our representatives if they are willing to give themselves and their families the same healthcare that they haven’t read but want us to be covered under, they are called un-American extremists mobs and terrorists by the left. They conveniently ignore the fact that the only violence that has come out of all of this has been from the liberal left against the far more peaceful patriots.  This "inconvenient truth" should be remembered.

According to the "You-Don’t-Know-Jack" page of the "CrewsMostCorrupt.org" web site:  "For many years, Rep. John Murtha has been treating our tax dollars like his own personal piggy bank, doling out funds to donors, friends, and family members who ingratiate themselves, currying his favor. In exchange, Rep. Murtha greedily demands and receives tribute in the form of generous campaign donations, employment for relatives, and charitable contributions."  You’ll want to check this web site out.  It has the details of this story of one more of Obama’s political hacks gorging on the enormous corruption in Washington.

It would seem that very questionable appointments by Obama continue unabated.  His latest is the appointment of John J. Sullivan as a Federal Election Commissioner, to oversee the "integrity" of U.S. federal elections.  His background in the SEIU union (which has quite a reputation), and his association with the very questionable election of Franken in Minnesota, and his involvement in the recount (proven unconstitutional) in the Florida 2000 election, etc., etc. — with all of that, his appointment represents what many consider as a slap in the face to honorable election processes everywhere.

This writer watched in shock as Obama stated (on camera) that, "We’ve got to have a civilian, national security force..." And on the video clip he further stated that it should be as well funded and as well trained as our military.  Good lord!  That’s what happened in Germany in the 1930s!

The "left" in Congress continues to push for full and universal card-check "intimidation unionism."  If you’re not aware, it’s a non-secret ballot process for deciding to unionize or not, that practically guarantees unionization wherever this sham is practiced.  Another nail in our coffin?

Now we see that seniors, under Medicare, are going to face a cut in coverage, according to the details from the health plans being developed in Congress at this time.  Let’s see what happens now.

Obama and his fellow Democrats don’t want offshore drilling in America.  However, it would seem they don’t feel that way when it comes to offshore oil drilling in Brazil, which they are backing.  Huh?

Our Congressmen and Senators haven’t liked hearing folks ask them if they and their families would be willing to be covered under the same health plan they want to force on the rest of us.  And now Rep. John Fleming has authored HR 615. It makes Congressional participation in any passed health care bill mandatory.  We understand that not even one Democrat has been willing to sign on to the bill.  Why are we not surprised?

Obama still tells us that the public option has not been taken off the table. His massive government health plan is in serious trouble because the American people are waking up to the reality of what he seems to have in mind, but he refuses to get the message (at least so far).  Stay tuned.

Well, Chris Edwards, the former Las Vegas ACORN director, has pleaded guilty in Nevada to criminal charges.  Others are also implicated and prosecutions can be expected to continue going forward.

We have recently been reminded of Obama’s own statements (as recorded), with such gems as, "I chose my friends carefully.  The more politically active black students, the foreign students, the Chicanos, the Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk rock performance poets."  How can there be any doubt as to what is happening and how it became possible?

Now the White House reluctantly announces that their 10 year projection of our new debt structure was way off. It is now estimated to be in access of 9 trillion dollars!  (CNN) Guess how that happened.

The arguments continue to fly in all directions concerning our healthcare.  The "left" insists that a "public option" (government healthcare) would lower the cost.  And how can that be possible?  By limiting coverage, cutting services, and by using public money to subsidize the cost. This, in turn, will mean that private insurance services will find they cannot really compete with such an unfair, lopsided arrangement.  The private option cannot do anything but fade away.  And, changing the name from "public option" to "co-op" will mean the same thing, of course.  No matter how they try to disguise it, it’s the same thing, looming in the shadows, waiting for its moment.

The administration has been bragging about what it calls the "success" of the "Cash for Clunkers" program that has now come to the end of its run. Success?  Why have so many dealers dropped out of the program in advance of its conclusion?  And why have so many others been complaining about slow to practically non-existent reimbursement?  And what’s going to happen to sales now that it’s all over?  You’ll see.

Most folks probably won’t pay much attention to it, but "The Washington Times" recently reviewed the new book by Thomas Sowell, "The Housing Boom And Bust."  The book and the article showed the pivotal role that Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Chris Dodd had in bringing about the housing collapse.  And, of course, the short term Senator Obama and his party saw to it that Republican oversight legislation under Bush would not pass.  It was a "set up" that those responsible would rather you were not aware of.

"The Washington Times" also reports that White House staffers are an entirely new breed these days.  It would seem that casual dress and loose lips are now the order of the day. Evidently the chaos is not just resigned to the decision making (or the lack thereof) and the naturally following destructive conclusions.  We not only get the results of a train wreck, it even looks like a train wreck.

Now we hear that the Democratic party is setting up large numbers of "manufactured" Town Hall meetings to promote government health care.  They had claimed that the concerned public reaction from the spontaneous grass roots of America, was a sinister "manufactured" activity, and now that’s what they want to do?  Might not "hypocrisy" come to mind?

No one doubts that things are definitely not going well in either Iraq or in Afghanistan.  And, the economy is also not looking all that well.  And, the debt level keeps rising right into the stratosphere.  And, we are all painfully aware of the critical condition of the existing government healthcare programs. And, a very large number of folks are still out of work and future employment doesn’t look very promising.  And, all of this, and so much more, in a little more than the first six months of the new administration.  And what does that tell you?

Bloomberg reports on billionaire Warren Buffett’s warning that, "The U.S. must address the massive amounts of ‘monetary medicine’ that have been pumped into the financial system and now pose threats to the world’s largest economy and its currency."  This, from a one-time ardent Obama supporter.

Fidel Castro coming out in support of Obama?  Well, it seems so.  Castro now blames the American right-wing for the difficulties that Obama seems to be having so often these days.  This Castro support for Obama is well documented and very much in line with other leftist dictator support from certain other countries.  Draw your own conclusion.

"Patriot Day" (Sept. 11th) was established to memorialize our courage in the face of the terrorist attack on America on that day.  It has also become a day of symbolic remembrance for many conservatives.  So, now Obama wants to turn that date into a "day of volunteerism."  It will effectively end the patriotic remembrance for conservatives and so many others across America.  One more nail in the coffin.

Even the Chairman of the Atlanta Federal Reserve tells us that the actual unemployment figure is more like 16% when you factor in the exclusions that the administration wants to keep out of the totals.  So much for honesty.  So much for recovery.

The accolades cascade down from the liberal elite, ad nauseam, after the passing of Ted Kennedy, with blatant efforts to tie his death to the push for government control over the health of all the rest of us — a system that elected and appointed liberals in Washington don’t have to contend with. How nice for them.

Representative Diane Watson (D-CA) had this to say in the latter part of August: "...you can think whatever you want to about Fidel Castro, but he was one of the brightest leaders I have ever met."  (From a Watson recording played on the Glenn Beck program.)

In spite of the lack of an official endorsement of Obamacare by AARP, it’s support of a major government option and control has lead to a mass abandonment of AARP by many thousands of elderly Americans.  A number of them seem to be moving toward other organizations, such as the "60 Plus Association."

Examples are cropping up everywhere about problems with the "left" at Town Hall meetings.  One example: The Howard Dean/Jim Moran Town Hall meeting in Raston, Virginia.  Those who were bussed there for the event were not asked for an ID. Others were restricted if they couldn’t satisfy the guards. Interesting.

As Summer Begins To Fall

September, 2009"The White House announced last week that the jobless rate will climb next year and remain high the year after that in the face of record budget deficits and a tripling of the government’s public debt," as reported by Donald Lambro in "The Washington Times."  He also noted that, "The government’s annual budget deficit has never hit $500 million, but under Mr. Obama’s spending policies it will sail at more than $1.5 trillion this year."  That’s right.  That’s what happened.

Now the wire services reveal another Democratic fund-raiser that is being accused of a crime.  This time it’s Hassan Nemazee and he is up on charges of defrauding Citigroup, Inc. in the amount of $74 million.  Chicago politics is still as alive and well as ever, and all over the country now, it would seem.

The National Endowment For The Arts (NEA) has now been recruited by the Obama administration to promote the Obama agenda (whatever that may be).  Oh yes, and NEA is doing this with your tax dollars. How convenient for them.

Glenn Beck noted, on his Fox Cable News program, that Van Jones (the Green Jobs "Czar") has radical roots that go very deep.  As he revealed, Jones told the East Bay Express" (in 2005): "I’m willing to forgo the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of radical ends."  It seems that this is typical of his rhetoric and well known to Obama’s people who felt him to be eminently qualified for his appointment.

Diana Furchtgott Roth, Senior Fellow of the Hudson Institute, reports that the "stimulus" package is actually responsible for the loss of jobs, not for any sort of gaining of jobs. (CNN)

Speaking about Town Hall patriots, Representative Diane Watson said, "They are spreading fear and they’re trying to see that the first president who looks like me fails."  (As played for viewers on Fox News.)  A racist comment?  Oh no.  Not if it’s from the "left."

Now we are told that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had banned patriotic "hold" music on the House phones.  One might wonder just what sort of reasoning she was working with to come up with that one.  Oh, and yes, a rather large public protest got it changed back.

Mr. Beck and his staff (at Fox News) have done a considerable amount of research and have come up with accurate background information that is not generally known about Obama’s Czars. Just a few examples: Van Jones (Green Jobs Czar) — An ex-con who is also a self-proclaimed Communist.  John Holdren (Science Czar) — Proposed compulsory sterilization and forced abortions.  Cass Sunstein (Regulatory Czar) proposed that dogs be allowed an attorney to go into court.  Carol Browner (Global Warming Czar) — Was connected to "Socialist International."  Ezekiel Emmanuel (Health Care Advisor) — Proponent of a plan that places special limited "values" on human lives based primarily on age.  Jeff Jones (Obama Advisor) — A co-founder of the Weather Underground domestic bombers, with Bill Ayers. Mark Lloyd (FCC "Diversity" chief) — An enthusiastic Hugo Chavez supporter who plans to "balance" the airwaves by terminating station licences, and therefore viewpoints, that question and/or oppose the administration’s agenda.  And on and on goes that infamous list.

Some would suggest that Obama doesn’t really follow any of those wild objectives, like those of so many of his close appointees.  Let us give you just one example, from a video with Obama saying, "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set.  We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."  Oh oh.

And yet another Obama appointment is very much open to question.  It’s M. Patricia Smith, as the law enforcement director in the Labor Department (if confirmed).  And why wouldn’t she be?  Maybe because she established a new, radical program in New York that deputizes unions and related organizations to enter private businesses as "enforcers," to report any imagined labor problems and/or "violations."  It is not believed that the Obama party majority in the Senate will let a little thing like that stand in their way.  After all, Obama has so many other important radicals already in place.

A number of left-leaning protests were staged and one of them (in Ventura County in California) turned violent (as reported by CNN).  So far, the only violence with all the many events this summer, were individuals that are clearly on the political left.  The more conservative, patriotic events were all without any violence initiated by the more center and right of center everyday folks.  It’s clearly not their way.

It’s official.  We now have the highest jobless rate since 1983. 9.7% of the workforce is out of work, with as much as 17% jobless under other criteria or having only part-time work.  If one factors in those who have completely given up and have been removed from the statistics, the figure is even higher — much higher.

The Fox cable network has aired a special broadcast; a well researched documentary about American textbooks and our children.  It clearly shows what’s missing, what’s bias and what’s just simply a continuation of the dumbing down of our youngsters.  It’s quite an eyeopener and it’s well documented.

From the general public and from Fox News and from politicians on both sides of the aisle in Congress and from talk radio listeners, the pressure has been growing against the questionable to even dangerous "Czars" that Obama has appointed.  Now, at last, one of these destructive personalities has found it necessary to resign.  Van Jones, the so-called "green Czar" has stepped down.  His background and public comments raised even more of an alarm than the White House could ever handle.  But what about the others?

Discussions and special meeting have been going on all over the nation. 70% of all new jobs are created by small business and small business in America seems to be very much on the losing end of everything from the "stimulus" programs, "cap & trade," excess taxes, forced unionization, oppressive restrictions, a serious credit drought, heavy healthcare expenses, a general market slowdown, and ever growing government control.  Is this the beginning of the end of free enterprise?  I guess we’re going to find out, aren’t we?

Isn’t it nice.  Our president has spoken to our kids, in a special live program just for the schools.  Of course he didn’t go anywhere near the issue of how his gigantic deficit is going to impact the future lifestyle of those poor children.  Gee, I wonder why he missed that.

Top White House staffers have made it very clear that they like the background and public comments of people like Van Jones.  Valerie Jarrett, an Obama senior advisor, just couldn’t praise Van Jones enough.  Only after a massive uproar, did that self-proclaimed radical Communist finally resign.  And now there is a growing demand for a really serious vetting process for all of his many questionable "Czars."  Well, don’t hold your breath waiting for that to come to pass.

The President gave his speech before a joint session of Congress (Sept. 9, ‘09) and a number of points made and figures presented just didn’t agree with well documented, known facts. This began to anger some legislators and a growing number of concerned citizens. It finally became too much for Congressman Joe Wilson. When Obama said that illegal aliens would not be given the free health care under his proposed health plan, Wilson shouted, "You lie!"

A couple of examples of questionable Obama statements made before Congress about his health plan:  Illegal aliens would not be covered.  However, the Congressional Research Service tells us that, "H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on non-citizens — whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently — participating in the Exchange."  Obama also stated that his program would be deficit neutral.  The prestigious Lewin Group indicates that the Obama healthcare proposal will cost about $530 billion over 10 years and over the next 20 years, it is expected to actually cost $2.4 trillion.

Additional falsehoods are coming to light concerning Obama’s speech before Congress.  He stated that he and his party are always open to bi-partisan cooperation and new ideas, wherever they might come from.  We have found that the reality is a clear case of practiced exclusion that has shut out Republicans, Independents and everyone else who is not considered to be a part of the new administration.  (Of course they were careful to allow a few "outsiders" to have a couple of words, as a false example they could call attention to as needed.)  And the President ignored the estimated 53 new bureaucracies that are scheduled to be created, the cuts to Medicare that must be made, the serious doctor shortages that are anticipated, and the gigantic Congressional Budget Office estimates of the cost for all of this.  We wouldn’t want to bother anybody with such pesky little facts like that, now would we?

ACORN is in trouble again, as usual. In Florida we find that six former workers have been charged and eight more are being sought. And a hidden video of ACORN employees in Baltimore has been released that reveals support and advice being given by these ACORN employees for what said employees thought was a start-up prostitution operation (which would include underage illegals).  All of this about an organization that has received many billions of taxpayer dollars.  Will we ever learn?  It doesn’t seem so.

Further tapes have surfaced concerning what is hard to consider as anything less than criminal facilitation.  Fox News (Glenn Beck) has revealed this video, as surreptitiously recorded in the Washington, DC offices of ACORN.  This is a major story.  Where is the major portion of our media?  Who knows.

Well, finally the pressure became intolerable enough that the U.S. Census Bureau felt it necessary to announce that it is terminating all relations with ACORN.  Gee, I wonder why?

The 9/12 March on Washington was much larger than even we could ever have expected it would be.  And C-Span, Fox News, CNN, and even that independent British network did not ignore it or play it down.  They covered it.  And what did we have?  A sea of humanity all over the capital city with the unified demand that they want our country back.  Of course Obama, who said he was open to alternative ideas and opinions — he left town.

ACORN went on record as saying that the first undercover video was an isolated incident that would not be found elsewhere in their organization.  So a second video surfaced to show otherwise.  And now even a third video has come to light.  And we understand there is more to come.  There seems to be no doubt now.  This latest was made in an ACORN office in Brooklyn, New York.  Obama’s favorite community organizing group is beginning to unravel, it would seem.

On CNN, we hear that ACORN is now under investigation over charges of "inappropriate" left-wing political candidates. It never ends.

Representative Max Baucus (a Democrat) has offered what he likes to feel is a reasonable alternative to the current administration’s healthcare proposals.  However, it seems to be not that much different from the other plans and it also seems to have a few little problems like 350 billion dollars or more in new taxes.  And he hasn’t garnered support from either party and not from the taxpayers either.

The FBI, which did such a questionable job with their background checks of the Czars, is finally saying that possibly an investigation of ACORN might be appropriate.  No! Really?  And one wonders just how many more than the current 30 convictions might be in ACORN’s future.

And now even yet another hidden video has surfaced.  This time it was recorded in the San Diego office of ACORN.  It offered viewers more facilitation for prostitution and help with bringing underage girls over the border from Mexico.  And none of this exposure was done by law enforcement or media. It took independent citizen activists to make this happen.  What has happened to our law enforcement?  What has happened to our media?  What is happening to America?

Experts tell us, as time goes on, the Waxman/Markey "Cap and Trade" bill (as a law) can be expected to notably raise the price of gasoline.  This, in turn, will bring about notable increased costs for all products that must be transported, which includes just about everything.  This, according to the Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies at the Heritage Foundation.

The Associated Press reports that 42 states now show a significant loss of jobs for the month of August, and that the number of states reporting such losses is up from 29 in the month of July.  This is our recovery?

A comprehensive IBD/TIPP Poll was conducted with 1,376 physicians, from August 28th through Sept. 15th (2009).  The question asked about the current health care proposals was, "What will you do if it passes?"  45% of the physicians indicated that they will consider leaving their medical practice.

As ACORN was becoming even more seriously exposed for what it really is, a Senate vote was taken with regard to continued taxpayer funding.  Most Senators voted to cut off funds to that organization.  Seven Senators voted against any funding cuts to ACORN.  The seven Senators were:  Bob Casey (D-PA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Bernie Sanders (D-VT), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Dick Durbin (D-IL), and Roland Burris (D-IL).  You may want to remember them.

Now we are informed that the Obama administration is "archiving" Internet information on all persons who visit government web sites or send e-mails to government offices or to specific officials.  That’s right.  We understand this is really happening.

In the face of increased belligerence in an ever more dangerous world, Obama has now canceled the nuclear defense shield that was planned for Eastern Europe.  Our new regime says it has a better idea.  We certainly hope so.

Finally!  The House has voted to cut off all funding to ACORN.  The vote was 345 to 75.  The 75 who would not cut off the funding were all hard line Democrats.  But it wasn’t enough.  The measure passed and now it will go to the Senate and, hopefully, will pass once again and then we’ll see if the President can avoid signing it into law.

Now Pelosi is going before the cameras and warning of possible violence in the healthcare debate.  Violence from where?  Where has the only violence come from?  Pelosi certainly must know, but don’t expect her to acknowledge such an inconvenient truth.

The Democratic majority and the agencies they control are at it again.  This time, their environmental extremists have seen to it that the tiny Delta "Smelt" fish take precedence over the farmers and their families in the California "bread basket" of America.  They simply turned the irrigation water off and now unemployment has skyrocketed as that great fertile area of California has become a dust bowl.  You can learn more at CaliforniaWaterAlliance.org and at FarmWater.org and at GotWater.org.  And thank you Sean Hannity for bringing this plight to everyone’s attention.

We now know that what we used to call the "Swine Flu" has grown to become a definite problem in all 50 states and we also realize that we may be considerably short of the amount of vaccine necessary for full coverage of our population.  So what is our President going to do?  Why, he has decided to offer 10% of our vaccine supply to other areas of the world. Yes, that’s really what he’s decided to do.

Seven former directors of the CIA sent a very urgent letter to Obama asking him to stand down on the investigation of CIA agents.  A direct quote from that letter (of Sept. 18, 2009): "Those men and women who undertake difficult intelligence assignments in the aftermath of an attack, such as September 11, must believe there is permanence in the legal rules that govern their actions."

Assessments and other close examinations have followed the enormous March on Washington (9/12/09), and it is now realized that those million or more participants have ever reason to be proud of the quality of the event.  We have seen so many liberal/left protests that sported notable violence.  And now we have this massive assembly in our nation’s capital with absolutely no violence whatsoever and, of course, no arrests.  So, what might this suggest as a demonstrable difference between a good portion of the "left" and the "right" in America?

During Obama’s media blitz on a series of Sunday network news shows one day this month, it was realized that he was clearly inclined to partly blame, for the lack of passage of his government healthcare plans, this same media that he was using and which has been so quick to reflect his viewpoint in their reporting.  What is that all about?  Is he unhappy that a few of them manage to allow at least a small word now and again from other viewpoints?

Obama keeps saying that there will be no new taxes for the middle class.  However, the health bills, as they stand at this time, show specific and definite tax increases for the middle class and above.  And that is only a sample of the inconsistency between what he so often says and what seems to actually be.

Thanks to our "low profile" government and a generally disinterested media, only now it’s coming to the surface that early in his reign, Obama issued an Executive Order for $20.3 million in "migration assistance" for hundreds of thousands of Palestinians (some reported with ties to Hamas) to resettle in the United States.  How does that grab you?

"The strong warming effect that we experienced during the last decades will be interrupted.  Temperatures will be more or less steady for some years..."  That is a recent statement by Professor Mojib Latif, at the United Nations World Climate Conference.

The Obama networks continue to echo the White House. ABC and NBC refuse to air an ad they recognize as critical of the President’s healthcare plans.  And of course they would rather we not remember how ABC aired their lengthy infomercial on Obama’s healthcare from the White House last June.  And they are consistently bias on other subjects as well, such as with the media frenzy over the abortionist doctor who was murdered and the slight, almost unnoticed noting of the anti-abortionist who was gunned down in Michigan.  It’s truly a shameful time for American journalism.

A new educational movie in our schools ("The Story of Stuff") has been exposed by Glenn Beck. It is clearly unfriendly to our capitalist system and it is using false "facts," very much as so many of our school books have been doing for several years now.  Yes, it’s all well documented.  And yes, it’s the way the current power structure is determined to operate.  It seems to be an important part of the agenda.

Fox News has revealed a recording of a conference call the publically funded National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) made with recipients and other involved creative types on August 10th.  Comments made by Buffy Wicks, of the White House Office of Public Engagement included the following:  "When we were thinking about how do we take a lot of this energy that’s out there.  How do we translate folks who have just been engaged in electoral politics and engage them in really in the process of governing.  And of being part of this..."  Her conversation was a bit rambling, but we understand it was the intention to get the NEA involved with the promotion of the Obama agenda.

When a Massachusetts Senate seat was vacated a few years back, Democratic state legislators scrambled to make it illegal for the governor to make an appointment to fill the seat, because Mitt Romney, a Republican, was then the governor. Now with Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat vacant, and with a Democratic governor, the Democratic Massachusetts legislature fell all over itself, reversing the restriction on Senate seat appointments.  Shame on you, Massachusetts. You have some of the most disreputable leadership that money can buy.

Now we hear that some in Congress (including Congressmen John Conyers and Barney Frank) want to investigate the two young people who had the audacity to expose the support expressed at ACORN for bringing in underage illegals for prostitution.  After all, we can’t have exposés like that going on, right?

Problems abound with healthcare legislation in Congress. Cuts to "Advantage" private care, cuts to Medicare and so many other frightening possibilities are coming up along with no time given for a full reading of the proposals and no information on actual costs.  Such is the way things seem to be in Washington.

Another school, another indoctrination film. This time it’s little kids doing a "worshipful" rap for Barack Obama in Berlington, New Jersey "Bernice Young Elementary School." Isn’t that wonderful?  (Yes, it’s real.  We’ve seen the "rap" film. Thanks Glenn.)  And, you can also add the Eagle Bay Elementary school in Utah on the list for the presentation of a video that most observers feel is a poorly disguised political indoctrination.  Yes, it goes on and on.

It has now come out that a rash of planned terrorist bombings in America have been discovered and stopped.  All of this, even as many thousands of Moslems descended on Washington to demonstrate their power and religious commitment.

Iran continues to move forward with extensive underground nuclear facilities and new missile test launchings.  As usual, it’s just another hostile rogue nation paying no attention to today’s America.

Public school indoctrinations keep popping up.  That one praising Obama to the tune of "Jesus Loves Me" (original words not allowed in the schools), is now followed up with another one — this time in North Carolina.  Other public schools are doing their best to keep such videos away from public scrutiny.

Now Michelle Malkin reveals (on CNN), ACORNs "Illegal alien home loan racket."  And, once again, the media on the left is playing catch-up, with a strong peppering of downplay, of course.

A close examination has been made and comparisons have been made.  The "G20" leftist protests in Pittsburgh (on Sept. 25th) had a clearly violent component, but the "New York Times" and other liberal media were inclined to describe it as a "peaceful" event.  We saw the violent videos.  We know better. The Washington "tea party" (on Sept. 12th) was populated by over a million participants, according to many estimates, and it was entirely peaceful.  The "New York Times" described it as "angry" and "profane."  We saw the videos.  We know better. Not any sort of disturbance whatsoever and not a single arrest.  They even picked up after themselves.  It was an event to be truly proud of.

If you’ve been following the more accurate and more detailed news reports in "The Wall Street Journal," "The Washington Times," "The New York Post," and on "Fox News," you are aware of the growing corruptions that are coming to light in Washington.  Time to make some changes?

Do the rich and famous live above the law (especially if they are liberals)?  Film maker Roman Polanski drugs and rapes a 13 year old girl and admits it, is convicted and then skips the country.  Finally, after many years, he’s been picked up (in Switzerland) and the liberal Hollywood elite think he should get away with it and be freed.  It reminds some of us of that uncomfortable situation at Chappaquitic.  It does sometimes seem to be more a matter of who you are and how much you’ve got and also what your politics might be.  Nice arrangement, huh?

Well, what do you know — the "New York Times" has actually admitted that it missed the story that’s exposed ACORN for what it is.  Of course it did.  It has a very narrow view of what it considers as worthy of coverage.

American Fall

October, 2009.  Now, after all that has been exposed, Congress has decided that maybe they had better suspend all the funding to ACORN, at least for now.  And the IRS has decided to discontinue any further advisory association with them, and the Census Bureau has dropped all assistance by that group for the 2010 census, and on and on it goes.  Many of us will never understand why this process took so long or why it had to take two young independents, with a hidden camera, to make it finally happen.  Where was the so-called main-stream media?  Anywhere but where they’re needed, of course.

Ex-President Manuel Zelaya, a far-left dictator, was removed from office in Honduras when their Supreme Court found that he seriously violated their constitution.  Obama and his cohorts didn’t like that.  They have seen to it that our government punish the freedom loving people of Honduras with not only visa revocations, but with the withholding of millions of dollars of scheduled aid.  As Mrs. Clinton put it, she wants to, "...have a peaceful transition of presidential authority and get Honduras back to constitutional and democratic order." Our new leadership chooses to ignore the legal reinstatement of law and order that had already occurred.  Yes, this problem continues on.

As this new month began to unravel, doctors in white coats descended on Washington to protest government intervention in American healthcare.  Did anyone pay any attention?  Not many in the liberal media, of course.  (It has also been suggested that doctors in white coats are sorely needed in Washington.  But our mental institutions are already bulging above capacity.)

The drive by Obama and his cronies to get the Olympics for Chicago has begun to expose the corruptive influences, the slum lords and other questionable organizations and characters who, it seems, will stand to gain financially from such an Olympian operation.  And, of course, the "promoters" promise no taxpayer burden.  And, of course, financial experts suggest that there will be a considerable taxpayer burden, as with most other Olympic host cities in most participating nations.  Do they ever learn from this?  Of course not.

We found a video in the California schools that features a pro-gay presentation of a grade school boy (in cartoon form) exhibiting himself in a very public, provocative cross-dressing behavior.  We saw this video and we are told it is in some of the grade schools right now, with the children as a "captive" audience.  It would seem you can always look to California for the next level in the dismantling of America.  (Video shown on Fox News.)

Even with Obama, his wife and even Oprah Winfrey, Chicago, with it’s violence and corruption, didn’t even make the first cut in Copenhagen for the 2016 Summer Olympic games.  So much for presidential charisma. (P.S. We understand that this effort on behalf of Chicago also involved the squandering of over 100 million dollars.)

The current regime promised that unemployment would never even get close to a figure like 9.8% but that’s where the official figure has gone — a startling 26 year high.  (And, when you add categories of unemployment that the official figures don’t include, it may even be as high as 17%.)  Why?  Possibly because the new job generation has not happened.  Also, government spending and restricting has been more inclined to discourage job creation.  So much for "stimulating" American business.

Now David Letterman, who has quite a history of irresponsible filth with regard to Sara Palin jokes, got caught up in a blackmail scheme allegedly perpetrated by another CBS employee, to shake Letterman down.  And for what?  Well, it would seem he has had sexual relations with at least three of his female employees.  At least he decided to come clean (if that’s the right word to use) and publicly admit his extracurricular sexual activities and have the blackmailer arrested.  Letterman’s irresponsibilities seem to be piling up.

Independents and party strategists are mulling over the possibilities for the Congressional races coming up this next year.  It would seem that at least 40 seats need to be captured in the House of Representatives in order to seriously change the majority.  In other words, they are telling us there’s a lot of work ahead.  They also say it just might be very much worth it and very much doable.

American casualties continue to mount in Afghanistan as the Obama administration continues to dither over what to do.  It should also be noted that we’ve been there for 8 years now and haven’t even been able to slow the cultivation and world-wide distribution of major amounts of very dangerous drugs. So, what are we going to do?  Who knows?

The Louisiana State Attorney General, Buddy Caldwell (a Democrat) has announced that the embezzlement figure at ACORN is probably not 1 million dollars, but more likely as much as 5 million.  The investigation in Louisiana continues, as it also does in a number of other areas around the country.

There are many fans of Arizona’s Maricopa County Sheriff Arpaio, who is considered to be one of the best law enforcement officers in our wild, wild West.  And, since he has been in the forefront of serious enforcement of immigration laws, the federal government has decided to move forward to seriously limit the ability of folks like Sheriff Arpaio to enforce such laws.  Yes, under the new administration, the effective "287G" program may be considered a thing of the past.  So much for law and order.

The "stimulus" debacle continues on with endless examples of astounding nonsense.  One of the latest examples: 2.8 million dollars awarded to Washington, DC to fight its local forest fires.  You’ve got to be kidding.  But there it is.  The insanity continues, even as our financial recovery languishes.

"America is no longer a superpower. Led by President Obama, its retreat on the world stage has been sudden, swift and stunning."  (As quoted from The Washington Times.) These words, from Jeffrey T. Kuhner, President of the Edmund Burke Institute in Washington, echo the sentiment of growing numbers of concerned and thoughtful individuals across the nation.  It is a condition that was clearly predicted in the 1999 book, "Good-bye, America?"  You don’t recall that book?  Of course not.  The primary media kept it under wraps.

Even the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights has asked, again and again, for the documents related to the dismissal of the complaint against members of the Black Panthers who were found to have disrupted a Philadelphia polling place this last November.  This was just one more blatant example of the breakdown of law and order in our new America.  Don’t expect a reversal and an honorable conclusion on this situation either.

There is now a rising concern over the close election of the now Senator Al Frankin by 312 votes in the recent close Minnesota election where ACORN is supposed to have signed up as many as 48,000 voters.  A fraudulent election?  Could be.

The main health care bill now approaching passage in the initial phase in the House of Representatives is estimated, by the Congressional Budget Office, to end up costing 829 billion dollars over the next 10 years, if it passes in anywhere near its current form.  Also, it has been found to include approximately 4 billion in cuts (many to your quality of care) and approximately 5 billion in new taxes.  Stay tuned.

Senior White House officials have now been reported as suggesting the possibility of accepting the Taliban as a legitimate functioning group in Afghanistan.  Other elements in Washington deny the idea as ever having been mentioned.  It may have been cast out to see if it will float or sink.  We’ll see.

Many of us had said that the push to legalize what they like to call "medical" marijuana was only the first move toward general legalization.  Now, in California, advocates are moving forward to present ballot measures that will make pot fully legal in the state.  They want you to forget the many serious mental and physical health issues involved, such as the fact that marijuana cigarettes have been found to offer over 10 times the cancer causing elements than any tobacco cigarette. That would be another one of those inconvenient truths.

It had originally been that the Nobel prize was given to, "...the person who shall have done the most or the best work..." and to be given "...to those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind."  (From the will of Alfred Nobel.)  Unfortunately, in modern times, more and more we find the prize is used to attempt to press a particular political will upon the people of America.  A few questionable examples would be Jimmy Carter (one of our most inept U.S. Presidents) and Al Gore (who stands to profit from a global warming problem that now faces an unexpected cooling trend).  And, of course, among the many who most certainly should have been given the prize and weren’t, are individuals like Mahatma Gandhi.  And now we come to the latest announcement.  We find that Obama is nominated for the prize just 12 days after he is sworn in as the current U.S. President.  The "most or the best work" — in 12 days?  No, just another attempt by foreign elements to press their political will upon us all.

Harkening back to the Nixon days, when the White House went to war against "The Washington Post," we now find, in the Obama days, that the White House has gone to war against "Fox News."  The Dems may not like to see such a comparison made, but it’s what has happened, so there it is.

Reports are coming in from everywhere about Obama evidently not wanting Christmas ornaments or any symbols with a religious theme in the White House this Christmas season.  They might have a "holiday tree" but definitely not a "Christmas tree."  Outside pressures may be changing this arrangement.  We can only hope.  Still, this is a President who opted out of our National Day of Prayer, even though he celebrated Ramadan and welcomed 50,000 Muslims to Washington for their religious expression.  Well, he was right. We are certainly getting change.

As we know, Van Jones was "relieved" of his post (publically "resigned") because his very extreme far, far left rhetoric was starting to seriously alarm even some of the Democrats.  And of course they would rather we did not notice that Senior White House Advisor, Valerie Jarrett was very much aware of Van Jones’ comments and ideology and still was one of his biggest supporters, right from the beginning. And there are so many others like her — like White House activist, Anita Dunn, who was seen on video speaking before high school students (June 5, 2009), extolling the virtues of such heroes of her’s as Mao Tse Tung, who is conservatively estimated to have been responsible for the deaths of at least 34 million of his own people.  (A very conservative estimate.) And the White House list goes on and on, like a Rogue’s gallery of the shameful and dangerous among us.  (As noted on Fox News.)

We knew this was coming.  Our new government has taken aim at Fox News, and talk radio and now it has plans for the "regulation" of the Internet. It should be extremely clear to absolutely everyone at this point.  Our new government has evidently decided to exert control over all opposing viewpoints, and even the hint of dissension, in all means of human communication.  The so-called "net neutrality" rules are the seemingly harmless beginning of government inroads to the controlling of the content of the Internet.  First, through regulating Internet Service Providers and next, moving on to viewpoints expressed that are not considered to be "politically correct." Obama’s FCC Chairman, Julius Genachowski and Internet Czar, Susan Crawford have made their intentions known in this regard.  This is just the beginning.

First, the recreational drug advocates pushed for "medical" pot and, with the help of a one-sided press, got it through in several states.  Then, the effort began to move forward to legalize marijuana for general public use.  And now, the Obama administration has made it clear that the federal government is going to step back from enforcement responsibilities.  All of this, in spite of the growing mountain of medical evidence that clearly shows that pot has some very serious mental and physical impacts on the user.  The drugging of America moves forward.

Since many individuals and groups in the health care industry have expressed concern and sometimes actual opposition to various versions of the Obama health care agenda, Democratic leadership has decided to "punish" the industry by moving forward in both the House and the Senate to repeal the industry’s antitrust exemption.  It is the sort of thing one might expect from a dictatorship.  It is not something one would expect here.  But it would seem that "here" is fast becoming a very different place.

The health care industry isn’t the only group that is being attacked by the growing dictatorial regime.  Humana was singled out, and so were the Chrysler bond holders, and various talk radio personalities and the entire Fox News network, and the latest to go on their list for "retribution," the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  Worried citizens are beginning to wonder who will be next.

ACORN tried hard to defend their people in their Philadelphia office and hurl various accusations at the undercover video reporters.  So, Andrew Breitbart (of BigGovernment.com) had a press conference and released a video that most certainly does seem to show that, once again, ACORN officials have been lying.

Shaun Waterman, in the "Washington Times," reports that our senators have, "...diverted $2.6 billion in funds in a defense spending bill to pet projects largely at the expense of accounts that pay for fuel, ammunition and training for U.S. troops, including those fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan."  The number of American lives in jeopardy as the result of this could be substantial, but that does seem to be the way they like to operate.  The article also quoted a former Senate staffer on defense issues under both Republicans and Democrats, Winslow Wheeler, who said, "I never saw Congress mangle the defense budget as badly as this year."  One example involves the diversion of $20 million for a new left-educational institute named after the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy (remembered by many as "Chappaquitic Teddy").

Now we hear from the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) that they will suffer default rates of over 20% on 2007 and 2008 loan guarantees.  These notably large losses seem to be "justified" by Barney Frank (the Financial Services Committee chairman in the House).  It is expressed as a matter of "policy," from what we are told, to blunt the housing downturn through more liberal government credit.  But wasn’t that what got us into trouble in the first place?

No doubt you have heard about or read about the many reports that show the sad academic consequences of our failing educational system here in America.  You are aware of how poorly we stand alongside so many other nations in this regard.  So, now what do we do?  Some are saying we must raise our level of expectation and our standards.  It is also suggested that this must be done by treating it as a "systems" problem that requires "system" solutions.  And what does that mean?  It involves teacher training and evaluation.  It involves more accuracy and relevance with text books and other materials and in curricula.  It involves true performance based teaching.  It’s all of that and more.  Now let’s see what actually happens.

Although a few retailers have reduced some prices, as a stimulus project of their own and to clear out some items, many are finding that, as a general rule, they must start raising prices.  Walmart is leading the way with price increases and others are beginning to follow.  As we had predicted, since most products are imported (with most of our manufacturing base gone) and especially with our unrestricted printing of money, the purchasing power of our dollar is slowly beginning to plummet.  As a natural result, the cost of imports is rising.  And this is just the beginning.

The president’s budget projects deficits of $9.1 trillion over the next 10 years, and the national debt is estimated to surpass $20 trillion by 2019 (which is just about 100 percent of our gross domestic product).  And all of this, while a majority of high level Treasury Department posts remain unfilled.  And all of this, while Obama and his Congressional allies threaten and punish those who would question their lavish projects. And all of this, with almost no attention to what is actually going on in our financial world.

Democrat spokesmen continue to tell us the recession is over.  But of course they choose to ignore the inconvenient fact that over 30 million Americans are out of work, that most of our manufacturing base is gone, that our trade deficit continues to display astronomical figures and our government continues to print money, seemingly with no regard to its triggering of a coming inflation that can complete the financial fall of America.

Finally, after the loss of far too many of our soldiers in the Muslim theater of conflict, Obama may be deciding to give Lieutenant General Stanley McCrystol just a little more than half of the additional troops that the commander felt was absolutely necessary.  Obama’s hand-picked General will receive a gradual increase of the lessor amount of the much needed reinforcements.

Time Moves On

November, 2009.  Finally, at the end of this last month, the House Democrats brought forth a massive 1,992 page health bill. Our early examination shows that, with a cost of over a trillion dollars (low estimate) over the first 10 years, it is not even close to being "budget neutral."  And with payments planned to include over $700 billion in tax hikes, it’s not going to be "tax neutral" either.  It also will finance abortions, will have a government option that can be expected to gradually eliminate the private options, is expected to include $500 billion in Medicare cuts, includes rationing and the "death option," and an almost endless number of other onerous provisions.  (House Bill 3962)

A good example of the heavy hand of our new and very partisan federal government would be what happened to the folks in the town of Kingston, North Carolina.  As the "Washington Times" has reported, "Voters in this small city decided overwhelmingly last year to do away with the party affiliation of candidates in local elections, but the Obama administration recently overruled the electorate and decided that equal rights for black voters cannot be achieved without the Democratic Party."  It was further stated that the Justice Department’s ruling made it clear that, "...partisan elections are needed so that black voters can elect their ‘candidates of choice’ — identified by the department as those who are Democrats and almost exclusively black."  It would seem like a dictatorship securing its political base, wouldn’t it?

A recent "Wall Street Journal" editorial tells us that, "In September, Humana, Inc. sent a mailer to some 900,000 enrollees in its Medicare Advantage plans (the program that gives seniors a choice of private insurance options), warning that spending cuts would result in reduced benefits and some people losing their coverage.  The Congressional Budget Office has said the same thing, but Obama apparently went nuclear. At the behest of Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus, Medicare’s administrators menaced Humana with fines and regulatory punishments, and even told all insurers participating in Advantage to shut up, too — or else.  In its ruling, Medicare slapped Humana on the wrist for disseminating information that it claimed was ‘misleading to beneficiaries’ — even though it was perfectly true. ... Meanwhile, the administration is now threatening to strip the insurance industry of its decades-long exemption from antitrust law.  This would blow a hole in the industry’s profitability, as would Obama Care for different reasons."  Possibly Obama supporters might want to pay attention to what’s actually going on around here.  Or is that asking for too much?

The "Washington Times" leads the way (as usual) with its revelation that, "The White House has told Congress it will reject calls for many of President Obama’s policy czars to testify before Congress — a decision senators said goes against the president’s promises of transparency and openness."  Once again our president has found a way around our time honored American system of checks and balances.

Thanks to some cable news folks, talk radio, and a small print media segment, we are beginning to get the drift about a 181 page draft for an international "climate change" treaty.  It’s planned for signing in Copenhagen in December.  It is our understanding that this "treaty" includes a provision for substantial climate "debt" payments to be made primarily by the United States, to the benefit of third-world countries and various "special interests."  There are also provisions for significant controls over free markets, and a 2% tax on various other financial operations in America and elsewhere, and for the beginning of what can only be described as the redistribution of wealth.  It even defines itself as a form of new world government, which is not at all hard to see as a usurpation of our Constitution and our national sovereignty. (One of the best presentations on this issue was on the Fox News channel Sean Hannity show with Lord Christopher Monckton and former UN Ambassador John Bolton.)

And how’s our economy going?  The Democratic leadership (led by the White House) says things are turning around and can be expected to get much better.  This is possible with over 700 billion dollars in combined Medicare/Medicade costs? This turn-around is happening even though 115 banks have failed so far this year?  Things are getting better, even with a loss of over 3 million jobs since the "stimulus" was put in place?  Need we do on?  I don’t think so.  I’m sure you’ve heard the figures before.  You know the difference between fact and fiction.

The frightening facts continue to unfold about the emerging health care bill in the House.  The "Wall Street Journal" speaks of it as the, "...worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever introduced."  And the prestigious "Price-Waterhouse-Cooper" financial group released an important independent study of the Senate Finance Committee version.  It clearly indicates that American family budgets will be very seriously impacted by the bill and that health insurance premiums can be expected to dramatically increase.  Is that what you want?  I didn’t think so.

It would seem that the "left" hasn’t learned a thing.  We see that the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), under the close guidance of Rep. Barney Frank, is once again pushing sub-prime housing loans.  It’s the same sort of thing that broke the back of "Fannie Mae" and "Freddie Mac," all over again.  And the primary American media doesn’t want to talk about it.  Are we being set up once again?

The first election (Nov. 3, 2009) since Obama took office was quite an experience.  The Democrats were planning on announcing a great vindication of Obama if they won in Virginia and New Jersey (and Obama and his "friends" certainly campaigned a lot in those states).  And they were ready to say it would really not mean anything at all, if they lost.  So, they lost and that’s what you heard from the Democrats.  It really didn’t mean anything at all.  They sure know how to rewrite history, don’t they?  But, the growing number of Americans who are pleased with the results in those two states — they had better not relax too much.  It’s still along way from putting much of Congress out to pasture this next year.

It’s all over the Internet about 11 new videos surfacing that show little kids in schools all over America singing the praises of Obama.  Some don’t think this is important.  Others are aware of similar indoctrinations by the Fascists, the Communists and other "collective" dictatorships — and they are deeply concerned.

The 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall is coming up shortly — a momentous worldwide occasion. Understandably, Germany has invited the American president to be a part of the observance.  And, understandably, Obama made it clear that he is not going to attend.  After all, there isn’t anything at that event for him to apologize for.

California seems to be planning a number of tricky maneuvers and questionable actions to try and solve its budgetary dilemma.  We are told that the state government is doing its best to implement the withholding of an extra 10% from California wage earners that will have to be returned to the hapless workers at a later time.  It has been described as a form of state-sponsored theft.  Extreme action of this low caliber seems to be preferred to the more uncomfortable effort of cutting entitlements and waste and balancing the budget. As California goes, so goes the nation?  It would seem so.

More unrest in Iran as people take to the streets again in clashes with the police.  And Obama again states he doesn’t want to say anything — he doesn’t want to interfere with the internal issues of Iran.  Too bad he doesn’t feel that same way about the removal of the far-left dictator in Honduras by their own Supreme Court and the dictator’s own party.  He has been quick to interfere in the Honduras situation on behalf of the far-left dictator and apply all the pressures he can to reinstate the usurper of the democratic Latin-American system.  And just what do you think this might suggest about Obama’s actual priorities?

Again, this time in the early part of November, many thousands of ordinary folks descended upon the capitol to protest the massive health care bill — a bill most Americans don’t want to have to pay.  The effort was led by Congresswoman Michele Bachmann.  Most liberal media paid little attention.  Most Americans seem to be getting very tired of this censorship.

He shouted the praises of Allah and then Nidal Malik Hasan began his killing spree at Fort Hood, Texas.  A lone Moslem extremist in a deadly attack in America — the first of notable size since 9/11.  And our new government will not define what has happened for what it is.  (And the gunman’s growing and very dangerous radicalism that was known at least six months ago.)

Yes, it’s official.  The unemployment rate has risen above 10%. It now stands at 10.2% with over 16 million out of work. That figure is much higher when you consider the categories that were purposely withheld from the official tally.

A gigantic, unread health care bill has finally passed in the House, and little bits and pieces about it are dribbling out.  One such dribble involves a strong possibility of prison and/or a hefty fine for those who don’t have health insurance.  (And it goes downhill from there.)

Now it is coming out, from the records and from inquiries, that the Muslim shooter at Fort Hood had made it very clear just how radicalized he had become.  This includes everything from his praises of suicide bombers to his many communications with the radical Al Qaeda recruiter, Imam Anwar Al Awlaki (now in Yemen).  Yet, even with all of this and so much more, Obama refuses to admit that this was a serious act of domestic terrorism.  In fact, the word "terrorism" seems to have been officially banned from all official communications and the clear signs of impending disaster in this case somehow managed to be ignored or reduced in importance. Now we see how "political correctness" can cost lives.  How horribly tragic.

Mao enthusiast, Anita Dunn was evidently felt to be too obvious, even for the firmly-left Obama administration.  She is "stepping down" from her lofty position as Obama’s Communications Director.  However, we understand she will remain a close advisor.

It would seem that just about the only presidential nominees that are put forward are persons with seriously questionable backgrounds.  Now, added to the rest of the group, we have Erroll Southers, recently nominated to head the important "TSA" federal operations.  His problems in 1988 even managed to get him censured by the FBI.  It would seem that none of this sort of thing is ever of concern to Obama.

Finally, it has been reported that federal authorities have moved to seize mosques, bank accounts, buildings, and other assets here in America that are believed to be under the direct control of Iran (and all that this might imply).  Some suggest it’s a bit like closing the barn door after the animals have already mostly escaped to reap havoc, but at least it’s a beginning, no matter how late it might be.

Frank Ahrens reports, in the "Washington Post," that we have reached, "...the largest October deficit on record."  The amount has risen to an astounding $176.36 billion.  And, as the "Post" reported, "The total national debt — the sum of all deficits from the beginning of the republic until today — is now up to nearly $12 trillion."  The report notes that, "A healthy economy should not have a deficit that’s more than about 3 percent of its GDP. ... The U.S. deficit now projects out to about 11 to 12 percent of GDP."  To say we are in trouble is putting it mildly.

We all have been made aware of the AARP endorsement of the latest, massive health care package (the new Senate version), but the promoters conveniently left out the primary reasons for that organization’s ringing support.  Some might suggest that the left/socialist lean of the group might serve as an adequate enough reason.  A more crass and far more accurate explanation would include the fact that not only has AARP received 18 million dollars of taxpayer funds not so long ago, it stands to make many, many millions more through its associated supplemental medical insurance business.  It certainly is a sweet deal for the AARP leadership.  Looking for a better alternative to that organization?  You might want to consider The American Seniors group (AmericanSeniors.org) which can be reached at 1-800 951-0017.  (No.  We are not affiliated with them in any way.)

Andy Stern’s SEIU, the big union that Obama is so closely connected to (from his own words), now has a little documentary out which congratulates itself (the union) for electing Obama to the presidency.  When you read the policies of this union and see their "thugs" in action, it would seem we all might have a great deal to be concerned with.

The revelations on that Senate health care bill continue to slip out and some of the "other" media is suddenly beginning to pay some attention.  The Washington Post said, "Medicare cuts contained in the health care package ... are likely to prove so costly to hospitals and nursing homes that they could stop taking medicare altogether."  Interesting.

Well, it’s happening just as it was expected to.  Sarah Palin is doing the tour and interviews for her book and so the lame-stream (left wing) American media is taking turns trashing her with every imaginative fiction and distortion they can come up with.  What are they afraid of — a viewpoint different from their own?

On Nov. 18, 2009, the Senate presented the huge stack of papers that represents their 848 billion dollar health care bill. As reported by the Washington Post, it will, "...extend coverage to 31 million Americans and reform insurance practices while adding an array of tax increases."  Of course it doesn’t tell us how we are to cover so many with our current number of doctors and finite equipment and facilities.  However, it most certainly does eliminate the often repeated presidential promise of no new taxes.  Other questionable attributes are noted, as by Senator Judd Gregg who indicated that the bill, "may claim to be deficit-neutral, however it uses slight-of-hand budgetary tricks by assuming unrealistic tax increases and Medicare cuts that members of Congress will not be willing to follow through on."  Other provisions require people to buy insurance of face dire consequences, would fine companies not providing affordable coverage, and hide provided abortion coverage in an ill-defined blanket of convoluted definitions and special bookkeeping tricks.  And the list of particulars goes on and on.

ACORN is at it again.  They don’t like their exposure, so they have threatened Fox News, are suing the young couple who did the undercover videos, and they even seem to be suing the government to get back the taxpayer dollars that are finally being withheld from their organization.  And, while all that is going on, another undercover video has surfaced which shows the organization’s prostitution encouragement/assistance in varying degrees at two Los Angeles ACORN offices.  It never ends.

As a writer, I am aware of an activity called "back checking" which is sometimes done by critics as a sort of validation check of articles and new books.  The number of Associated Press "back checkers" that we have found assigned to Obama’s books: 0.  The number of Associated Press "back checkers" we understand have been assigned to Sarah Palin’s new book: 11.  Interesting (and very revealing).

After disturbing discoveries about the "politically correct" enabling of the Fort Hood massacre, the investigation is suddenly stopped dead in its tracks.  We are told that this is a decision that will go down in history as one more of the growing great shames of our time.

So, what seems to be these new taxing arrangements that are surfacing from within the Senate’s new health bill?  Some of these are as follows:  An "Individual Mandate Tax" (Page 324 - Sec. 1501 - $8 billion) as a tax fine against those not buying "qualified" health insurance.  An "Employer Mandate Tax" (Page348 - Sec. 1513 - $28 billion) as a tax fine against employers not offering "qualified" health insurance to "qualifying" employees.  An "Excise Tax on Comprehensive Health Insurance Plans" (Page 1979 - Sec. 9001 - $149.1 billion) to be placed upon considerable numbers of Americans.  A "Medicine Cabinet Tax" (Page 1997 - Sec. 9003 - $5 billion) involved with most over-the-counter medicines.  An "HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike" (Page 1998 - Sec. 9004 - $1.3 billion) for particular early withdrawal from an HSA (Health Savings Account).  An "Excise Tax on Charitable Hospitals (Page 2001 - Sec. 9007 - $50,000 per hospital) for failures to meet new "community health assessment needs, financial assistance and billing and collection rules."  A "Tax on Innovator Drug Companies" (Page 2010 - Sec. 9008 - $22.2 billion) as an annual tax on the industry.  A "Tax on Medical Device Manufacturers" (Page 2020 - Sec. 9009 - $19.3 billion) as an annual $2 billion tax on the industry.  A "Tax on Health Insurers" (Page 2026 - Sec. 9010 - $60.4 billion) as an annual $6.7 billion tax on the industry.  And "Elimination of Tax Deduction for Employer-Provided Retirement Rx Drug Coverage" in Medicare - Part "D" (Page 2034 - Sec. - 9012 - $5.4 billion).  A "Hike in Medicare Payroll Tax" (Page 2040 - Sec. 9015 - $53.8 billion).  A "Blue Cross/Blue Shield Tax Hike" (Page 2044 - Sec. 9016 - $0.4 billion).  A "Tax on Cosmetic Medical Procedures" (Page 2045 - Sec. 9017 - $5.8 billion) ... and on and on it goes.  (Data compiled by "Americans For Tax Reform" — ATR.org)

What is this we hear about our State Department negotiating with Russia to give them 8 strategically and economically vital Alaskan islands that we are told contain billions of barrels of oil, millions of tons of fish and other seafood (just offshore from these islands) and millions of tons of valuable minerals and ores?  Let us hope and pray this isn’t happening. (Source: State Department Watch)

The Obama administration efforts to force union memberships (the card check program) and to force only unionized bidding on government projects has been facing a little bit of resistance of late.  The feds were forced to halt the bidding on a $35 million New Hampshire project when contractors filed a challenge of the union mandate.  Obama’s people will no doubt find another way to push it through.

Remember, back in June, when Obama fired Inspector General Gerald Walpin?  He had just filed two very special reports revealing that important Obama supporters had misused national and community service grants.  Now the White House is doing all it can to make Walpin’s law suit and impossible task.  After all, they can’t have such a serious and competent investigator given his job back.  Chicago politics still remains alive and well.

We’ve given you the figures, from time to time, as they have become available to us.  You are aware of the massive debt that keeps growing and growing.  And so much of it seems to be to stabilize and control so much of big business in America.  And so much of it is in the form of earmarks (special political "pork").  And some of it is in the form of bribe-like funding, such as with the recent $300 million or more that was given to the state of Louisiana (by way of Senator Mary Landrieu) to "purchase" her support for the Senate healthcare bill.  And Obama made a deal to cut reductions in physicians’ reimbursements to get the AMA to support the bill.  Money is the weapon of choice — your taxpayer money.  That’s how they do business in Washington.

Our financial deck of cards is showing the early stages of eventual collapse.  To everything else we can add our unfunded liabilities of over $105 trillion.  Even the New York Times (on 11/23/09) was willing to report, "The White House estimates that the government’s tab for servicing the debt will top $700 billion a year, in 2019."  And now the Associated Press headlines, "Asian stocks fall as dollar slides; gold at record high."  We watched this developing over a number of years and with the help of politicians from both parties.  Now, under the Obama administration, our financial obligations have grown to astronomical proportions.  It has been suggested that if the political balance and direction is not notably changed in 2010, we certainly should all realize what is in store for us.

It’s hard to believe, but now we have even Dan Rather (in a Houston Chronicle blog) becoming unhappy with our current president.  As reported in Newsmax Magazine, "Citing Obama’s willingness to leave it up to Congress to write major legislation, Rather warns that the president’s style has contributed to ‘the impression of presidential drift.’  Obama ‘has allowed a picture of a vacillating commander in chief to emerge.’ "  Will wonders never cease?

So, now what’s happening with the greatly discredited ACORN organization?  Well, it would seem that the president’s John Podesta is assigned to the task of naming an ACORN auditor.  However, what he is actually spending most of his time doing is working on the task of creating and feeding favorable ACORN stories to the media.  He also seems to be doing all that he can to discredit the courageous young investigators who originally exposed ACORN.  The blatant dishonesty of what the administration is trying to do here is appalling.

In The Final Month of The Year

December, 2009.  Finally, as the last month of the year begins, Obama announces that 30,000 troops are to be added in Afghanistan, beginning in the early part of 2010.  He also announced that troop withdrawals will commence in 18 months.  This obviously sends priceless intelligence to those who are planning their battle plans to defeat us there.  Great strategy, Obama.  NOTE: We were told, some time ago, that he would probably be sending about 10,000 fewer troops.  (See our earlier report on this year’s "Concerns" page.)  We still won’t be getting what Obama’s appointed commander had asked for.  More good news for those who started this war against us.  I guess we’ll just have to see what happens next.

It was not unexpected.  Work site arrests of illegal immigrant workers have fallen more than 50% since Obama took office. Other aspects of protecting America at our borders have also suffered greatly.  It is also our understanding that our new healthcare system plans no checks or other verifications of the legal status of those who will be receiving healthcare services here in America.  Of course it will be quite different for the rest of us, who will have to pay for the new healthcare or be fined or jailed.  How nice for us.

One of the reasons that almost no one believes the new healthcare plan will be "deficit neutral" (as Obama promised) is because of the track record of government cost projections in general.  A good example is how Medicare exceeded its originally posted cost estimate (when created in 1965) to an added $400 billion and beyond, today.  And that’s just the beginning of the problems we will have to face.

With a stimulus bill that obviously didn’t stimulate, with over 4 million jobs lost since Obama took office, with a low of 10.2% on the official national unemployment rate and a realistic rate that is much higher, and with only 8% of Obama appointees having any real private sector business experience — with all of that, the president decides to hold a "Jobs Summit."  Of course he didn’t invite the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and of course he didn't invite the National Association of Manufacturers, and of course he didn’t invite any other Washington based business organization, and he didn’t invite a truly representative selection of American small business.  (And the list goes on and on.)  Did much of anything come out of it?  Not much that we could see.

Small businesses and related groups all over America (who were excluded from Obama’s Jobs Summit) are saying that they are not only not getting any help, they are being systematically destroyed by existing and coming financial intrusions of the current credit crunch, the "card check" union intimidation, the pending "Cap and Trade" costs, the coming healthcare expenses, and all the rest.  It’s more than they can handle.  It can only destroy the biggest job creator in America — small business.

Obama was quick to announce that unemployment has gone down a tiny fraction.  But of course it still stands at 10%, with actual unemployment (when considering those withdrawn from the workforce, etc.) standing at over 15%.  And 15.4 million are still jobless (and it’s many more, if you really count it right).  And our dollar has fallen 19% in purchasing power since March, 2009.  These are the public figures.  They represent the tip of the iceberg.

Again and again, the "Service Employees International Union (SEIU) shows their overbearing, thug-like mentality. Now they’re on full attack mode against American volunteerism.  As Michelle Malkin pointed out at the end of this last month in "The Washington Times," in Allentown, Penn., an SEIU official, "...ranted about 17-year-old Scout Kevin Anderson’s park cleanup work.  Mr. Anderson devoted some 200 hours to the job in order to earn an Eagle Scout badge.  He picked up trash and helped clear a 1,000-foot walking path with fellow members of Boy Scout Troop 301."  The union official announced that, "...there is to be no volunteers."  All such volunteer efforts are to be done by their union workers, for pay, or they are not to be done at all.  An isolated incident?  Not at all.  Examples were pointed out in Baraboo, Wisc. with union complaints against volunteer firefighters, "...who built sandbag barricades to protect the city from record flooding." And in Sacramento, Calif., "...union heavies ... sued a nonprofit environmental group for using college-age volunteers"...on a canyon clean-up.  And the examples continue, endlessly.  As Miss Malkin noted, "No good deed goes unpunished by union bosses — unless it benefits their political empire."

The Obama Czars and other confidants, continue to be an ever growing problem.  A good example would be some of the many disturbing things about the "Safe Schools Czar," Kevin Jennings.  His suggested reading lists for our little kids are heavily weighed down with books and other literature that very clearly promotes a variety of sexual encounters and other sexually explicit material for our children.  (It is our understanding that Mr. Jennings’ agenda was well known to the Obama advisors well in advance of his actual appointment.)

One of Obama’s friends and advisor is the convicted felon, Robert Creamer, who wrote the manifesto for the development of a very far-left-of-center dictatorship in America, while in prison.  The book, "Stand Up Straight," is spoken well of by David Axelrod (another Obama man) who says it, "Provides a blueprint for future victories."  The Obama administration seems to be following the outlined manifesto very closely. (Glenn Beck seems to be one of the few who is willing to bring this to public attention.)

Remember that attack on a black man outside a town meeting in St. Louis?  You may recall he was sent to the hospital by SEIU thugs who called him a "nigger" and attacked him for offering patriotic items outside of the meeting hall.  Of course this was clearly a racial attack and a "politically correct" intimidation.  And clearly Obama’s Department of Justice did not take appropriate action, nor, it would seem, did anyone else.  This certainly serves as an excellent example of what SEIU union boss Andy Stern meant by his comment that, "We will use the power of persuasion, and if that doesn’t work, we will use the persuasion of power."  You have been warned.

The government’s "CMS" agency notes that costs can be expected to rise significantly with the Senate healthcare plan. And, even without an obvious, direct government option, a variation of this has been tucked into the bill which establishes what is said to be an even more extensive government intrusion than originally attempted.  And all of this is very far from "budget neutral."  So, new taxes are part of the picture and we understand Congressional Democrats plan to raise the debt ceiling by a whopping $1.8 trillion.  Welcome to our future.

Following Obama’s mandate, the House Democratic majority has now passed what is described as the most comprehensive, most controlling financial bill since the "depression" of the late 1920s.  The 1,279-page bill establishes an enormous new federal agency touted as "consumer protection" but actually enabling massive government control of business and commerce in general, even to the point of forced government termination when those in power decide they want to close down various businesses.  It would seem that the dictatorship is growing by leaps and bounds.

American justice has been deteriorating for some time, as noted by growing numbers of pundits, but it has been observed that we have an even more accelerated decline under Eric Holder’s Justice Department.  We have seen this with everything from dismissals involved with polling place intimidations in Philadelphia to unwillingness to act on a racial SEIU attack on a tea party supporter in St. Louis.  And now we see it with the decision to try wartime enemies in civilian courts (a first for our beleaguered nation).  Holder stated that it would somehow restore the integrity of our judicial system. It’s a form of logic that escapes almost any serious observer. One thing that does not escape most folks is the realization that the terrorists will now have the opportunity to spew their venom to a world-wide audience and also utilize the "discovery" process to break through as many sensitive, confidential barriers as possible, to the serious determent of America’s defensive capabilities.  It’s just what they wanted. And once again Eric Holder marches forward, doing his part in what can only be described as the dismantling of America.

Congress keeps spending, with more and more bills loaded to the brim with "pork."  Politicians from both parties are dipping into the public troth as more and more Americans are saying, "Shame on all of you!"  And what are we getting? California is getting a wine train and a failing golf course in San Francisco.  We are also paying for fossil research in Argentina.  We are also funding studies of everything from rat sex to college sex.  And while we’re at it, we’ll bail out a marijuana journal and some puppet shows.  (The puppet show in Washington isn’t enough?)  There seems to be absolutely no end of it.

As it gets down to the wire with the gigantic, convoluted healthcare monstrosity (as identified by some on the "left" as well as many on the "right"), some of the provisions are leaking out.  It seems that medicare funding will end up being dramatically cut.  It seems that we can expect health insurance premiums to rise significantly.  It seems that rationing of health care may become inevitable.  It seems that new taxes will hit us all.  It seems that we will all be in trouble.  (Didn’t we suggest these possibilities a few times before on these pages?  Well, here it is.)

The Associated Press wire service has filed the following official statement, "Israel’s military intelligence chief says Iran is close to a ‘technological breakthrough’ that would enable it to build nuclear weapons."  So, now what’s going to happen? Stay tuned.

As NewsMax magazine has reported, "...for millions of our citizens, the reality of the brutal economy is almost too much to bear.  Everywhere one looks, there are signs of tough times." So, if now so many everyday folks are locked out, who’s working?  According to USA Today,  "The number of federal workers earning six-figure salaries has exploded during this recession."  Big Brother takes care of its own.

And what did Obama do at that rather violent Copenhagen climate summit?  Not much.  He did make one of his pretty little "teleprompter" speeches and offer them billions of American dollars.  And then he rushed home to join Congress in finishing the job of "bribing" healthcare hold-outs in his own party with our taxpayer’s money.  Doesn’t sound right? Of course not.  But it’s what has happened.

On Dec. 18th, the reliable "Space.com" web site reported that the upper atmosphere of our planet is showing signs of dramatic cooling.  As noted in recent NASA data, "When the sun is relatively inactive — as it has been in recent years — the outermost layer of Earth’s atmosphere cools dramatically." This would seem to be in agreement with other recent data that suggests a slight cooling trend for Earth in general. Interesting.

What do you think might happen to a gentle, caring Democrat who doesn’t follow the new party line the way they would like him to?  Well, in the case of Senator Joe Lieberman, he is cut from the party in his home state of Connecticut, trashed by left-wing bloggers, is summarily cut off on the floor of the Senate by the new junior Senator Al Franken (a long time "hater" by reputation), and his wife is verbally attacked, evidently for her good work with funding efforts to find a cure for breast cancer.  Is this how liberal hard ball is played? Evidently so.

With everything from payoffs to strong-arming, a gigantic, largely unread healthcare bill passes in the Senate.  Only bits and pieces are known, so far.  They are some of the things we’ve been telling you about.  You might also find it interesting that as far back as October 22nd, a CNS reporter asked Nancy Pelosi, "Madam speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?"  It seems she has never been unable to answer that.

We hear about how big business (that agrees to cooperate with the new regime) and big unions get money and favors of every sort from the Democratic Congress.  What we seldom or never hear about is how the poor — and especially the black poor — are often treated.  An excellent example of liberal compassion can be found in the details of how the Democratic Congress killed the District of Columbia’s Opportunity Scholarship Program which has provided 1,700 disadvantaged children with vouchers to attend a quality private school.  What a shame that most blacks are left in the dark about such things.  The more cynical observers suggest that such revelations would not be politically helpful to those currently in power.

It will go down in the records that, near the end of 2009, the U.S. Supreme Court continued its sad decline, now adding its rejection of the claims for redress over severe losses brought about by White House and Treasury Department decisions to strip the Indiana State Police pension trust fund of its legal, contractually protected investment in Chrysler.  In other words, evidently no legally contracted investment is ever going to be safe from such government edicts.  Welcome to the new America.

Concern is rising in Nebraska and throughout America over Senator Ben Nelson’s unholy alliance with the DC healthcare thugs to give Nebraska a special freedom from Medicade costs forever, at the expense of all the rest of our nation.  Why did this happen?  It was one of those payoffs (among other "bribes" to other Senators) to gain support from wavering politicians.  And, with regard to the Nelson incident, even Nebraska’s governor was quick to say that he and his state want no part of such an infamous special deal.

There’s a movement under way across the land, to regain state sovereignty as defined under the Tenth Amendment of our Constitution.  Thirty-seven state legislatures have introduced enabling legislation.  Seven states have already declared this position.  The movement grows.  And in Texas, there is also a growing movement shared by a few other states toward actual succession.  It would seem that if Washington continues on its current course, the risk will grow toward a genuine disillusion of our once great nation.  Yes, this should be a very serious concern to us all.

Obama has always been quick to show his support of and ask advice from the heavy-handed SEIU.  (Many videos document this predisposition in the President’s own words.) Now that union has taken this support as a "green light" to follow its intimidating ways.  This includes the blunt message to employers to sign up or suffer the consequences.  (Some of those "consequences" have also been documented, as you may know.)  They are very much like a throwback to when the Mafia controlled the shipping piers on the Eastern seaboard of our nation.  (As noted by William Borst and Michelle Malkin.)

There was that massacre at Fort Hood and then Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab tries to blow up an American airliner near Detroit on Christmas day.  (And he left strong indicators for his action long before the event.)  It would seem that no matter how much we talk about how we are going to deal with such problems, such events still keep happening.  So, what’s going to be next?

Another disquieting bit of information that has trickled out of the leviathan Senate healthcare bill is involved with a special tax consideration for cosmetic surgeons.  This is a group that already seems, at times, to have forgiveness from responsibility for totally ineffective surgery while still charging and collecting for what was promised but not actually accomplished.  (A good example of this sort of policy can be seen with "Lifestyle Lift.")

We remember the 17 U.S. sailors that were killed as a result of the "USS Cole" bombing in the main harbor of Yemen (10/12/2000) and we should have recognized the importance of the influx of radical elements into that country that followed the bombing.  But we seem to have paid almost no serious attention at all and, in fact, we even released "Gitmo" detainees into that nation.  And only now we find Yemen being described as the new hotbed for Al Qaeda terrorists?  We don’t seem to get much of anything right these days, do we?

Congressman John Boehner has revealed that the Senate healthcare bill definitely does not prohibit abortion coverage in federally subsidized participations.  Maybe that’s one of the reasons that an increase in the Medicare payroll tax is also part of the new package.  Somebody’s got to pay for all the many inclusions in the new "grand plan," right?

And with that we come to the end of the first calendar year under the Obama administration and the Democratic majority in Congress.  The events and results that we have chronicled here represent a well documented journal of current American political history and the impact of this upon our nation.  It is now up to us all to learn from this and to decide if such a review warrants our extensive intervention into the political arena to change this direction.  In other words, it is inevitably up to you and me.

More to come.
